Nice clean print of a good film. This was the first major role for Robert Sterling, and also the first film in which Sheila Ryan was billed by her stage name (she had been billed "Betty McLaughlin" for most of her 1940 movie performances, her real name being Katherine Elizabeth McLaughlin). I like the way that Cesar Romero and Chris-Pin Martin play Cisco and Gordito - a lot! Thank you very much for sharing these with us!!!!!
jmccracken1963 Robert Sterling and his wife Anne Jeffrey were life long friends of Mr Romero until his death in 1994.....Sheila Ryan was married to Gene Autry's sidekick, Pat Buttram.....thank you for the info on Sheila and Robert....
Thank you, Paul.....there are quite a few people who also didn't know Cesar was The Cisco Kid.....that's why I decided to upload all six of his Cisco movies....they are all fun to watch!
Marie, Thanks for this! As a kid I remember seeing the Cisco Kid TV series with Duncan Reynoldo as Cisco and Leo Carillo as Pancho. Then, in high school I hosted a TV show that ran "vintage" TV shows, including that series. I never knew that Mr. Romero was the original Cisco!
One of my favorites........"Don't spoil everything with mixing love with business"....."When Cisco loves, it is business"......lololol Thanks for uploading this.
They sure got the title RIGHT !!! ROMERO was a MAN'S MAN in more ways than one and he never backed Down from fight against some homophobic Idiot !! Rest in Peace Joker Man ! Such a Great career of over 60 years !!
Just watching the last one right now, very enjoyable. A lot of the better stuff I find is the older stuff and if it's particularly good I'll watch it 2 or 3 times then try to find it on dvd. Finding them on dvd can and usually is not easy, I shop now and then for old shows/movies. So far the best bang for the buck is at Walmart where found I found the later but still in B&W Cisco kid, Shotgun Slade, Frontier Doctor, pistols and Petticoats and a few good movies, around 5 dollars each. Makes me pretty happy to be able to find at least some of the better old stuff because nearly all of today's TV/Hollywood is tasteless, terribly immoral with all the violence, death and sex they need to use to sell their stuff. Don't get me wrong! there are some good shows being made today like Murdoch Mysteries and the like, I'm not a religious or up tight man, just not liking that there's really nothing sacred left in this anything goes world.
There's always a squawking blabber-mouth in these ole Western movies; Uneducated on Operational Security and Communications Security (OpSec & ComSec). "Loose Lips Sink Ships"
What a delight. I’ve so enjoyed looking for films w/Cesar Romero but I didn’t know he played the Cisco Kid. Thanks for sharing your collection. 👏
