Awesome comparison! As just like extra notes for people looking for comparisons, the Hollywood version of the ride takes the scarab effect a step further by blowing air on the back of your legs, while the Orlando version does not (no idea on the Singapore version, haven't been out there yet.) Scared the shit out of me though when I went on it since I'm an Orlando local and ours doesn't have the same effect. I will say though since Universal does a lot more copy/paste then Disney does, it really did surprise me to see how different the two rides were. My friends and I almost missed out on the Hollywood coaster when we went out there just because we were like "we have it here, we don't need to go on it again" and only went on it to kill time and because we love the Mummy here. It really caught us off guard and I'm glad to see there's enough unique on the Singapore attraction to make it worth riding too. (Even if (biased) ours is the best.)
I thought that was the case. I was in Hollywood earlier this year, and I didn't notice it. Thought it may have been a false memory or the effect was no longer used. Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate the comment.
Singapore takes place in a temple, and is the movie. Orlando takes place in a museum/film set, and is the filming of the movie. Hollywood takes place in an obvious soundstage, but is what would happen if you were really in that experience. That's so circular non-circular design right there.
What freaks me out the most in the Orlando ride is actually the line. It’s SO dark. You really feel like you’re in a tomb. And the soundtrack playing is the curse being spoken softly. When I get home and go to bed I hear that freaking curse in my going on and on in my ears 😬 I wonder if they play that in the other ones as well. Also, incredible job on these. So cool seeing the difference in each park! Envious Singapore has a bit more ride. Always wished there was a little bit more coaster time in FL
I actually have a HUGE soft spot for the Hollywood attraction. Being a California native, it's the one I've been on the most. It's basically the Orlando ride in a nutshell due to the smaller soundstage (curse is real, Imhotep attacks you, coaster section, backwards, etc.). While Orlando has the better ride, Hollywood did the best with what they had, and succeeded!
I really enjoy the Hollywood one and I'm glad they are so different. Since I don't get to do it as often I think I slightly prefer it over the orlando one. Thanks for leaving a comment
Fun fact about the cute snake hats: early ancient egypt was separated into two kingdoms, upper and lower. The pharaohs of each wore crowns to denote which part of Egypt they ruled over: those little snake hats.
Originally the ending of Hollywood's used a projection dome and showed the eclipse defeating Imhotep, when I asked John Murdy (lead designer of the attraction) on twitter about it, all he said was that it was a long story that he couldn't tell online. now the room just gets filled with fog and you turn around before seeing him in the eclipse yelling "NOOOOOO!!!" and then a strobe light hits you and the main theme plays as you unload
The one here on the west coast it’s great, but I will never forget going to Orlando when I was little and falling for the ride operator gag, and then watching in genuine fear as she disintegrates right before my eyes
Grew up in Orlando and was scared shitless the first time I rode that. That exact moment had me shaking in my seat 😅 it really feels for a brief moment you may be getting off the ride so the turn of events is truly genius. Now I just love seeing the reactions of everyone else who’s experiencing it for the first time 😂 also the fire in that scene is serious
Singapore's looks soooo much better than I was expecting. I've always liked those mummy arms reaching down from the ceiling, but there's a lot in that ride I'd like to see in Orlando. 👀 Great breakdown!
have seen what disneyland's snow white use to look like back in 1955 and the same goes for the at disney world in 1971? They was two very scary attractions
I think it is objectively the best, but something about Hollywood wins me over. The dropping mummies and the eclipse imagery, I think. Oh, and the mummy arms at the start. Thanks for the comment!
Fun Fact: at the end of the Orlando version, when Brendan Fraser gets his coffee and jumped by a mummy, you can hear him scream "AH! OH THAT FEELS GOOD! AH!"
I totally can. Keep bugging me about it, and I'll get to it. I'm looking at doing frozen ever after next, and then tiana when it opens in disneyland. Might try it after that.
I'm surprised you didn't mention hoe Orlando's treasure room swapped an anubis statue for a gorilla statue, designed off King Kong (this ride replaced Kongfrontation, which explains why the ride is located in New York)

I came here to say this! I wish Orlando did becuase this wffects gets me everytime.

Such synergy. Thanks for leaving a comment

They really set the mood for the ride in the queue. I'm glad you liked the video!

So cool. I had no idea. I should look into more ancient Egyptian history.

I would love to hear that story. Do you know if any video is online? Thanks for leaving a comment

What an intense and unforgettable moment that must have been! That reminds me of when I rode Body Wars as I child. I thought that was all real.

Thanks. Took forever to make, but it came out pretty good, I think. I'm glad you left a comment.
@@ParallelDiscover It was fun! Really enjoyed the presentation and observations.

Great video. Been to the Orlando one several times. Maybe get to the other ones someday. Thank you.
I hope you get to one day. Thanks for watching.
Challenge: Compare every Dragon at Legoland (Florida, California, New York, Billund, Deutschland, Windsor, Dubai, Japan, Korea, and Malaysia)
The headache i am getting thinking about this
awesome job! i would love to see one for all the harry potter and the forbidden journeys! 😊
It's on the list. It's will probably be the next universal one, but I have a couple of disney ones I am working on first
Fantastic comparison! Orlando has my heart if for nothing else but the hot set theming...
I think it is objectively the best, but something about Hollywood wins me over. The dropping mummies and the eclipse imagery, I think. Oh, and the mummy arms at the start. Thanks for the comment!
Yep. It's by far better than the Hollywood version. Looks amazing with the refurb.
Fun Fact: at the end of the Orlando version, when Brendan Fraser gets his coffee and jumped by a mummy, you can hear him scream "AH! OH THAT FEELS GOOD! AH!"
I did not know that, and now I can not, not hear it
Can you try doing Star Tours? There are some pretty cool details in the different ride locations
I totally can. Keep bugging me about it, and I'll get to it. I'm looking at doing frozen ever after next, and then tiana when it opens in disneyland. Might try it after that.
I wish orlando had more imotehp animatronics like singapore, that cloaked one is sick!
It sure is
You forgot the flailing rubber string under the seats that feels as if the scarabs are crawling on you
You are right, I forgot those were there.
The Orlando version is full of nods to Kongfrontation. Ex: the gold Kong in the treasure room.
I'm surprised you didn't mention hoe Orlando's treasure room swapped an anubis statue for a gorilla statue, designed off King Kong (this ride replaced Kongfrontation, which explains why the ride is located in New York)
I should have.
Personally i feel like orlando’s is the best one out of all of them
I agree, but i still enjoy Hollywood a lot
@@ParallelDiscover How do I find the POV from ExploreWithHsr?!
@@ParallelDiscover Please tell me how I can find it.
@lukecolumbus13 I think i made a play list with all the videos I used and linked it in the description. Let me check if I can find the link

Can you compare Tiana?
Oh yeah, definitely
HIS NAME IS NOT RONALD NOR RICKY, IT’S REGGIE!!!
Why is this annoying me so much
Exactly!
Show some respect for our boy, Reggie. May he rest in peace.
