I've been told by my instructor that I need to incorperate a pulling back motion into my oberhaw during the follow through. I was struggling so I came to youtube to look how others do it, I can't say I'm seeing too much. Perhaps I'm over exagerating the movements, or maybe I'm just not able to see the subtly of it. Either way, good video and thanks for the demonstration.
hey there :) thanks for the comment! Is it pulling back to the guard (plow/pflug) or following through the target in a full cut motion? Here on this video a full cut is highlighted so the blade passes through the target and continue all the way down while there is another pulling back motion involved with making a half cut to longpoint and then pulling back to the guard as a way of chambering another attack/riposte, Hope this helps ;)

German swordsmanship is underdeveloped.
It’s fine to be wrong once in a while :)
