How is it possible they sound even better than studio version? This Barry´s voice at the beginning, then that touching Robin´s voice and finally Maurice joining them doing magic. Pure talent, no more!
Heh... I've asked myself that same question many times, as I have watched them perform live, especially acapella. The level of talent is just stunning. All those electronic gizmos that help other artists just muddy the music when applied to these incomparable gents.
Just really really great voices.
I couldn’t agree more!!
I’ve loved the Brothers Gibb since my childhood. Gorgeous harmonies, always. Robin has that yearning quality to his voice. Loved how he looked at Maurice expecting the echo falsetto. Magical
So glad I am sixty and lived this❤
Man, after having spent a life singing in harmony, for them was as simple as breathing
Got me wondering too. I download the clips and is convinced some songs sound better on you tube than the original - even the stereo. Maybe it's just an improvement in technology.🙃
This one minute contains more musical quality than the complete charts from 2014 - 2024.
😄
So true. I'd even say from then 90's on real music died. This gerneration were the last real artists/musicians, esp now thinking of AI music coming these kind of music and musicians will always be unbeatable. ❤
Idk man 2014 had some good bops…
I feel like the moment Maurice joins in with his harmonies it all just elevates to another level. Barry and Robin are of course brilliant on lead, but you can see and hear Maurice bringing in those notes that tie the whole thing together. Incredible all around!
They all tie it together.
❤❤❤❤❤ Maurice was the greatest multi instrumentalist
But it's true. When maurice steps in, That really good song turned into magic!
Ja… Maurice war immer der „man in the middle „ ❤️
I realize saying “Maurice was underrated” is sort of a cliche at this point, but this video shows how well he completes their harmony
Those of you who listen carefully will be able to hear Maurice Gibb’s highest harmony, his falsetto part.
Though his voice is usually “lower” in speaking - his live performances allow his high registers to really shine.
You could just tell Maurice was cherishing every second of this show. What magic they created.
We moved here to Vegas just one year later (1998) and SO wished I could've seen that show. . .
At the beginning of the show maurice kept looking and cherish in the audience of high until he's right. What a sincere guy and an awesome Musician
It's emotional when these 3 brothers sing into one microphone. Here you can clearly see the brotherly bond and hear the wonderful harmony of their voices. That's magic🤗👍
That high harmony that Maurice comes in with - is astounding.
Your words just Cant be more accurate! One Mic;;to watch them stand together;; Religious or not;; God has reached down and truly laid his hand on those 3 Men! Just incredible to watch and hear! 🌹
It’s incredibly emotional! Put tears in your eyes for sure. It’s like the definition of Magic to me. Can imagine standing in front of them singing like that;;;
Maurice´s signature song. He sung those falseto lines while playing an outstanding bass line during their concerts in the 70´s
Maurice was so underrated.
RIP to him,Robin,and Andy.
This is Maurice at his finest!!! Maurice added the magic!! ❤💕
The look Barry and Robin give Maurice at 0:48 is priceless. He really brought his A-game on this one, and the brothers felt it! Just look at how Barry tries to keep up with his energy at 0:36, this is one of those magical live Bee Gees moments where they played of each other and created something unique. Love it!
Maurice sure did, he truly made this harmony come alive! Does not get any better then that!!!
I think Robin took it off first, you could see he was very pleased with how he started, and then Maurice took over, probably thinking - I'm gonna give my best here, too...and the rest is history - three angels on Earth.
Yes I see it now!! Thank you for pointing this out ... awesome and they’re all one of a kind ❤️
Tbm amei! Eles eram muito talentosos! Emocionante! Eu amo Robin 😍❤️
My comment exactly. They got those notes and balanced the voices automatically. I miss them terribly. Just so very good..
I do think of Barry. It's a heartbreak to think of him without his brothers. Sigh.
I have watched this over and over again I just love how Maurice sounds. They look so proud of him. He was just awesome. Love them all
yaaaaa me toop
I agree wholeheartedly 👏
I have watched this so many times. It works but it is just wonderful when Hansen.Maurice steps in withis heavenly harmony ❤❤❤❤!
I love the look that Robin gives Mo at 0:48, he looks at him like Whooaa….bro, you still got it!!! :)
Jourdan B. ...I think Robin was expecting Mo to sing the repeat, since he was ‘in the groove’ :)
What moves me...is that they are brothers and they love each other and it shines through....Also, they harmonize better than anyone on the planet.
@@spockvskhan4561 their souls are very apparent that bond
@Oscar Small he did the higher part when robin thought he would sing the repeat robin is usually somewhere in the middle and Maurice does the high harmonies with Barry usually as lead vocal
@Oscar Small so I'm not sure who had the highest range per say . What I do know is , maurice his normal voice is like that so he's not doing falsetto it's just a high harmony he also had the deepest voice in terms of time of all 3. Robin had the highest natural tone with Barry doing most of the falsetto but I think robin and Moe could almost go just as high and you can hear robin doing a lot of falsetto on their song living together . They all sort of alternated with Barry and robin doing the main vocals because maurice didn't want the spotlight as much and they are two very strong personalities . It's no problem loved the bee gees since I was a little girl
If you watch Barry's face often, as here, you see the hint of a smile such is his enjoyment of harmonizing with his brothers, it's got to be tough for him not to be able to do that anymore. Their performance here is just amazing, it's a shame they didn't do the rest of the song, but then they had so many greats to perform.
While they were performing they were looking at each other and smiling because they knew : "We are nailing this one!!!"
And they were right, this is THE best rendition of this song I've ever heard, too bad they didn't do the whole song.
502waf which is amazing. You'd think he'd be in pain because of his arthritis, but no
I think he especially misses Maurice, the peacemaker.
I swear, The Bee Gees are the only band I know who sound even better live.
That smile from Barry when Mo starts singing really says it all. 😊💖
This is literally my favorite video on this entire site. They freaking killed it with this performance. And Maurice’s falsetto is the icing on the cake. Like a freaking chef’s kiss.
like I've said before, yes Barry has an awesome voice right along with Robin's unique vocals BUT I do believe that Maurices voice was the secret glue that held and brought it all together. Thank all 3 of you for all the great music you gave the world, GOD BLESS
Agree ❤ Musically, he was the glue and emotionally. He was the glue that held them together
Mo was at his best in this song👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼then Robin smiled😊goshhhhh my heart melted❤️😍Bee Gees were geniuses ❤️
Sim, achei tão fofo o Robin sorrindo para seu irmão gêmeo. 🤗
Friggen' mind-blowing harmonizing. Pure talent, no auto-tuners here folks.
Pure freackin magic my friend you just cant get no better than this..
You said it perfectly -
Man, when Maurice steps in....magic!!!
dont you mean Robin ? 8-)
No....They definitely mean Maurice
Tammy Leece OK I can see that but for me when Robin steps up to the mic and belts out his part for me that makes this song
@@mrpentium I see what your saying....but even Barry and Robin were flabbergasted by Maurice...that was the best version of that song ever...and it was way to short....plus Maurice has always been my favorite Bee Gee.may be a little bias....lol
No need to compare the brothers. They are all great! They have powerful voices. Obviously though, based on Barry and Robin's reactions, Maurice owned the moment. The highest harmony was his.
Their harmony sounded better singing for 1 minute than most bands today that sing for 5 minutes!
Pitch perfect
Great song! Maurice definitely had the best falsetto out of the three. His voice was the figurative “glue” that held their voices together.
I love reading the comments and seeing nothing but love for Maurice gibb.
RIP Mo
I just can't explain how awesome Maurice looked in that black trench.
Matthew Carle Sexy as fuck I think I might just cross over for the guy...
Totally agree! Mo is my fave. His voice here combined with his look is hot af!
dirtysouthlepluv Damn right!!! 👍👍
He looks like a Bloodborne character
@@dirtysouthlepluv total agree...
Although Mo is only ever considered by many in the music world as contributing to the Bee Gees in harmony & background vocals; without Mo there would be no Bee Gees! Mo was the silent strength between the Gibb Men as band mates & Brotherhood throughout all the friction & the spark. He graciously stood behind as he was pushed aside & watched his Brothers shine & gain all the notoriety. Precious Mo & my Darling Andy shared the same comparison by tabloids & the rubbish media rags of being in their brothers shadow, & it took a toll on my Lovelies. This concert piece highlights Mo singing his heart out in high harmony & authentically reveals Rob's & Barry's reaction in astonishment in what Mo had just performed in front of their eyes. I love all my Gibb Men, & always will. If more males had the qualities like these men, the world would be in a better direction. I've never acquainted myself with a more genius, generous, humble, affectionate & comedic group of humans before; & there will never be another more Heaven sent soulful trio on earth, but I was never more proud to see our Precious Mo given the recognition by the Brothers he so longingly deserved. The man was divinely talented & had the forbearance to simply withstand. I admired his strength to invent & recover. He was a survivor. I will forever miss the sweet embrace of Mo's loving smile & his deep soulful eyes. There will never be another Capt. Moby, & the void he left in our lives is tremendous. 💔 Please continue to allow others to view this video & see my Precious Mo shine! Thank you.
Maurice was quite happy to not be so much in the light. He was happy where he was. He played many musical instruments which the other two did not and was the musical director behind the scenes.
Maurice era único! Além de tocar muitos instrumentos e ser o director musical da banda, tinha uma voz excepcional, que ia dos mais graves ao falsete, embora nesse campo tivesse ficado sempre na sombra. Voz doce e maravilhosa. Saudades... :((
Wow! Best version of this song ever. Can you say, play it again? Oh Maurice was just so fun and cute...love you and RIP Mo and Robin.
Maurice owns this song
Yes, that's right....i love this song with Maurice....
Maurice....😢😢❤ forever.....
Maurice may "own it", but the true magic of it would not happen without all three brothers harmonizing.
They are all phenomoneally talented.
I've watched this like 20 times today.
Am I the only one who sees how (the always sad) Robin smiles and enjoys this song?...... incredible and amazing moment.
Not easy to say "the best music group ever" but of course on the top
goshhh this is too adorable especially when Robin n Barry smiled to Mo , wonderful moment
OMG I love R so much
Undoubtedly from the posts I've read over the years, it's a little known fact that Mo could , and did, sing MUCH higher notes than Robin did. He just didn't do it as often or was as highlighted as Robin. Out of the 3 of them, singing individually, Mo had the sexiest voice of them all.
" Oh really and do you even like them ? " .......... HUH? How in the world did you even remotely get the idea that I didn't know their music or like them ? I've been a huge Brothers Gibb fan wayyyyy before the Saturday Night Fever craze. I was literally listening to their hits from my cradle because my mother was a huge fan of theirs back in the early 60s. All I said was, in replying to Jo saying it was adorable how they smiled at Mo when he came in singing, (if you know the songs and their parts in the song, Mo sang the high top notes ) that their genuine smiles could have and probably were from the fact that when they all get in close together like that, and each person hits their notes in such a way it reverbs through each of their souls, that they, or any singer with a heart, automatically smiles. I believe their smiles were directed at Mo because of their love and appreciation of his vocal ability. How in the living hell you got the idea I don't like them is well beyond me. It's not MY fault that " supposed fans " don't realize nor mention Mo's vocal range. Just like I've never heard anyone mention that even though Robin never played an instrument on stage, he was extremely adept at various musical instruments. Not as many as Mo, but still... They each had their part in the group and their own roles to play. Sadly, a lot of people think that what they see is all there was. If you asked any of them now or when they were alive, they would say they are songwriters first who just happened to sing. Now, have I explained enough to suit you ? I sure hope so.
My heart fluttered when Robin smiled.
Joanne Julius maybe they were expecting Maurice to sing the falsetto parts...
Miss the three of them singing together. Barry strong and yet gentle voice, Robin magical voice and Mo amazing voice coming in to complete the harmony, just light up their voice and their face. Looking at Barry and Robin proud face when Mo joined them. This is priceless. I think this is by far the best version of Nights on Broadway. The three of them looked so happy. So pleasant to hear their voice but yet so sad to view it now when both of the brothers have passed away. RIP Robin, Mo and also Andy.
I’ve been listening to this on a loop for the last 20 minutes….. I can’t stop 😭
haha totaly understand!!!
Eu no momento
13/02/23❤
Exactly what I am doing now! It' s unbelievable what a powerful performance they are creating.
It’s too good
Barry's smile just warms my heart, especially because he looks like he's enjoying performing with his brothers. I feel so bad for him, as I'm sure he misses them all dearly
Just last week Sir Barry Gibb was awarded Best-Selling Americana Album by a UK Artist, for “Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers’ Songbook Vol. 1” at the 2022 UK Americana Awards.
I have NO doubt that Robin and Maurice attended in Spirit, as these were THEIR songs too; and just LOVE the playfulness of the movement of these orbs in the video.
ruclips.net/video/GqdfAHOFp98/видео.html
Bring it, Maurice!! Your brothers LOVED it!!!
Did you hear Maurice's "whew" at the end?!?! And then you see Robin look at him and flashes a huge smile.
So awesome. Today's music will never equal the quality of this kind of sound.
I just loved the way they can looked at one another without saying a Word...though You can tell by looking into their eyes they are having a magical brothers moment .. You just can feel the love for one another...God bless them all... Maurice, Robin and Andy in Heaven and Barry... here... on earth... thank You for sharing such an amazing video!!!!
maurice sang those high parts like a champ!!!
Thank you to whoever captured this moment. Gives me chills. When they harmonized together, it sounds like one person singing.
RIP, Maurice and Robin. My heart goes out to Barry - having to carry on all these years without his brothers. I've lost a younger brother and it's really, really hard. So I can relate to what he may be feeling. There are no words.
All I can do is thank them for the incredibly wonderful music they made and shared with us all. The world is a brighter, better place because of it.
He had another brother Andy who also died.
Who knew Maurice had such a lovely voice . Think it got overshadowed somehow amongst his brother's beautiful harmonies but man I love his voice in this song .
Me too....it's great
Val aarts vc é dez.. parabéns.sabe o que fala
Go Maurice!! :) LOVE this song. And still love you best magical Robin... oh just look at that smile. He's heaven. xxx
I thought I was the only one who noticed Robin's beautiful smile in here..
@@julieann4813 No, you have company. Robin draws me in like a heat seeking missile. :)
@@julieann4813Eu também notei 😊😁❤
Just the most impeccable harmony ever! For years, I though5 it was one person singing all the lead parts. Few come along like the brothers Gibb. Phenomenal!
They get knocked for the disco thing, but damn, they were excellent singers.
Dont even know if anyone could come close to these guys.. Mo & Robin we sure miss you💙💙💙
It just takes your breath away to hear them like that
I love the way robin smiled👍👍👍😍😍😍👏👏👏👏👏👏
You can see in their smiles how much they truly loved to sing together...
3 voices and a guitar can make that sound, it amazes me!
For a moment, just a touch of that magic sound from their vocal prime.
Man, I would give anything to hear them do a full version in this arrangement...especially when they go into the “I will wait, even if it takes forever” bridge...
Omg, same..this song is my all-time favorite and yes, would have been super great if they did that part..I get goosebumps whenever I listen to it..
It´s completely incredible they sounded even better than studio version and this arrangement makes me love this song even though it´s just a small part of the whole. Pure talent!
Absolutely jawdropping. They were pitch perfect - in physics' terms! Don't think there's a band that can do that live these days.
There never has been one, either. these are very special. What Elvis was as a soloist the Bee Gees were as harmony. They took thei gift God gave them seriously and sang so beautifully, so many songs Barry wrote are directly from God and have so much double meaning. See you all on a bluuuue island
There's a whole lot of singers/bands that do what passes for music these days and are considered great. They're no comparison to Elvis and the Bee Gees. Just because they can carry a tune and/or play an instrument doesn't maean they're great.
Watching that vid of those 3 is truly magic. I don’t believe I have ever heard 3 people in one Mic sound so beautiful;; it really is Magical::::
Never really appreciated how good these guys were until i got older, harmony's are off the charts and Maurice on another level.
Maurice was a genius.
I agree !
totally incredible, don't need no 20 dancers on stage or some big production, their voices together top all that, just listen, I mean really listen, that's talent
Maurice is like that quiet friend that every time he speaks or in Maurice case sings, your always so surprised 😭😭
I cannot get it out of my head. I can confirm this is my actual favourite Bee Gees song - Nights On Broadway. And believe me, it was not easy to pick a favourite - but this, this is it. Robin's voice... sent me over the edge emotionally.
I'm always humming it in my head. Just a fantastic pop song all the way around. Works as disco. Works as acoustic, a capella, and I bet there's a great metal version of it somewhere that I've missed.
Man maurice is SO coooool
The harmony at 0:30 is just amazing
I cheer for them! But more so for Maurice! Wow!!! ❤️❤️❤️
idk but i just love how this song was performed live in a quieter way with less instruments.. i mean it's like a "naked" version and the beauty of the song just bloomed on its own.. ❤❤❤
In my opinion Robin Gibbs has the most beautiful voice of all The Bee Gees
Your opinion is absolutely right.
TRIO BRUTAL !! FOREVER AND EVER THE BEST OF THE BEST !!
The Maurice's falsetto is perfect in this song.
Maurice? Barry...
@@gbarrazza8843 Maurice is on the top of the harmony stack here. Barry is lowest and Robin in the middle. Barry usually only did falsetto in lead vocals as opposed to the harmonies.
@@boyders16 Actually he did the harmonies alone in many songs, but that's impossible to replicate live, so in a few songs, his brothers would actually do the harmonies that they didn't do on the studio version. Of course, that's only in a few songs, mainly the ones from the Disco Era.
Maurice sang high harmony early on in their career
@@Coowallsky Yes, his high harmony was like his brothers falsetto, which Mo never sang, he had no need.
Absolutely stunning. The smiles. They know they nailed it. 💕
Incredible!! Bee Gees best group of all time.
Again sibling harmony hits different 💯
Showing Maurice hit those falsetto note before Barry did!
Decades later still so much like the fabulous record!!!👏🏻
Wow, these guys were seriously talented singers and Barry was an excellent song writer.
Mo knocked it out of the park. Wish I could see the whole video
0:49 the way robin looked at mo, "hi twin, u did great"
A minute of magic
The harmonies are magical. Makes my hairs stand up
3 men enjoying each other's talent. Wonderful to see that!
This is probably my favourite Bee Gees song. I could play this version on repeat for hours and not grow tired. I get goosebumps every single time.
I got chills listening to this. So good and very nostalgic...brings back memories of my youth.
Awesome the helping voice of Maurice, R.I.P.Maurice &Robin One heart the had a band those two the twins Beautiful brothers for ever !! ✨💕
Wow Maurice and his voice....unique..he gave everything and fehlt good....it's nice to see that...
at the end of the 90' he had some strong moments in this time musically...i love this and i miss him...😢😢😢
A acoustic guitar, great songs, 3 Brothers, and a ton of talent!! No backing tracks necessary. man I miss these guys!!!
This song reminds me of driving with the folks as a 7yr old kid in the "72 Olds delta 88 land yacht and wabc radio from NY.
Love the joy on their faces when you can see they're just nailing it.
The best harmonizing group in music history.
To think the dentist who did my crowns back in the day did the Beegees dental renovations as well. Perhaps more importantly, this is a simply stunning vocal performance. Mesmerising and beautiful. Hard to believe they’re Australian
Now that’s what I call music 👍
Great job Bee Gees
Since I like the Bee Gees, they're the best.
I like how ROBIN SMILED👍👏💕❤IT MELTS ME...RIP ROBIN AND MAURICE👍👍👍👍❤❤❤💕💕💕
Closest to musical Godly perfection as it gets. I'm thinkin God is a huge BeeGee fan....
Part of me wishes this was longer but the fact that they sang shortened versions of several songs that night meant that they also sang the Sun Will Shine and I Can't See Nobody that we probably wouldn't have had otherwise. Every live show must be a compromise if doing justice to each song but giving the fans their favourites v
One minute of perfection. When music was real unlike all of this autotune joke stuff they call music these days.
This is PERFECT, and what Maurice did was AMAZING!!!
I just wish it was the whole song!! :-(
Me too
Co-authored by the trio and powered up by their brotherly harmonies, “Nights on Broadway” (1975) tells a vague but emotional story about trying to make a love connection in the crazy town.
This was the follow-up to “Jive Talkin’ (1975), a #1 hit and the one tune that got the Bee Gees’ career back on track. A balance of disco and soul, “Nights on Broadway” turned out to be a solid winner in America and beyond.
While recording the piece, producer Arif Martin asked if one of the Bee Gees could do some screaming during the main chorus to make it sound more exciting. In response, Barry Gibb started piping higher and higher, eventually singing in an unexpectedly powerful falsetto. The artist was not even aware of that ability of his. That day (or was it nighttime?), the band’s main trademark was born❕
The track was initially titled “Lights on Broadway”, but to adult it up, “Nights on Broadway” seemed more befitting‼️ 💚🎤💜
Still my favorite version of the song you can just feel this song
I agree with everyone else, this gig they sound so perfect and clean!
Awesome! Such powerful harmony. I think the Bee Gees are among the greatest music creators of our time!
Maybe One of The most glorious moments of them of all time ! They were together , safe and sound , enjoying the show , living it at its high value !
God Jesus ! This should be written in human being history !!!
I watch this full concert at least once a week. Never tire of it, brings me peace.
💜
Same..
Eu também assisto sempre! É simplesmente lindo! Não me canso! ❤️
Me too!
Ever need a definition of "nailed it dead on"...look no further than here
Pure talent
Remember when people could actually sing
this is so unbelievable
I just like that he actually played his guitar in Vegas
