The Phenomenal Jackie Wilson
Please more Jackie 🙏🙏
One of my favorite singers! He was extremely talented! He had a slew of hits! His uptempo, That’s Why I Love her so is a great song, Workout is another great tune!
Check out Higher and Higher by Jackie. He had a heart attack and Elvis paid for His Hospital Bills. He was called " Mr Excitement"
Great singer, great dancer!
You might know YOUR LOVE KEEPS LIFTING ME HIGHER or LONELY TEARDROPS.
Elvis helped him when his concerts were barely visited and he paid for his medical bills. Great story!
Thank you for your great reactions!💚
He would sing without music and tear it up in Detroit
My favorite song by jackie, what a voice.charisma.elvis loved Jackie's voice and moves.elvis is my first and Jackie is my second enertainer. ❤️
Mine too! Elvis is my #1, Jackie Wilson is #2, and Roy Orbison is #3.
He was one the records i bought 10 years old.
As a teenager Jackie originally wanted to be a boxer. His mother forced him to give it up and he became a singer.
He’s awesome isn’t he Elvis loved him when he was on set for Girls Girls Girls during Elvis performance of Return to Sender he had a blast smiling the whole time 🤣
You have to watch his Lonely Teardrops, his dancing was great.
Jackie Wilson was a golden gloves boxer before he got into singing. I have heard that his routine would be to walk to the end of a high stage platform, jump off whilst taking his jacket off and before reaching the ground replacing it. Sadly there is no longer any surviving footage of this.
JACKIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON ED SULLIVAN EVERY SINGLE WEEK. ED LOVED JACKIE AND EVEN LET JACKIE SING 3 SONGS WHEN NORMALLY IT WAS 1 OR 2 FOR EACH SINGER. ❤ JACKIE WILSON ❤ TRULY THE GREATEST, SENDING LOVE FROM OVER HERE FROM YOUR ENGLISH FANS ❤
Great reaction young man!...Jackie Wilson was something else!.. known as "Mr. Entertainment!"... please react to his rendition of Danny Boy! it shows his amazing vocal skills!
The song where Jackie and Sam were onstage together is Sam Cooke’s “ Everybody Loves To Cha Cha Cha”. They were both in their mid twenties at the time and were also the best of friends. The great thing about the Sullivan Shows is that they feature the live vocals of the artist. And no other artist had a better live performance than Jackie Wilson. If you want to see the best of the little bit of footage out there available of Jackie AKA Mr. Excitement check out any remaining Sullivan shows and the SHINDIG shows featuring Jackie.
Elvis Good Friend
He is probably the greatest singer of all time
The only singer I've ever known that is on a par with Elvis both as a singer and entertainer. Also the only singer that has ever performed better than Elvis on Danny Boy. Elvis version was great but Jackie's was greater. Give it a listen to. You'll be amazed!
He was awesome!!!! Check out some more young man!!!
I was amazed how he got up. Loved his performance.
What happened to all the Jackie Wilson reactions you said you were going to do? Jackie was the best of the best, NO One could come close to that man's talent. You should have no problem finding his music, he had over 50 hit records on the Billboard Charts, including six #1 R&B hits. How About this version Lonely Teardrops! HIs First Million Seller and #1 Hit ...ruclips.net/video/6CNyVlo40h8/видео.html
Thanks for waiting till the end before reacting
Keeseey, have you’ve done ELVIS “I got a woman” live 1970??? I just heard it and loved it
Oh Danny boy will kill you especially near the end when drops to his knees and belts out one of the highest highest
Try whispers (gettin louder), you got me walking, you left the fire burning, im the one to do it. So many others...
Since you showed me how to be happy, another banger
Jackie, IMO, was the greatest R&B/pop singer of his generation. He could sing almost anything from R&B, to light opera, to rockabilly, to pop, to standards. But more so, Jackie's stage act was even more impressive, and it's the most copied of any R&B performer of all time. Anyone that does tricks with a microphone stand or does anything athletic while singing stole from Jackie. While Sam Cooke is the most influential singer of this era, Jackie's performance ability is the most copied. Listen to him doing "Lonely Teardrops" from the old American Bandstand with Dick Clark, and Jackie doing "She's Alright With Me", the live black and white version.
Highest octaves ever recordrd
They didn't call him Mr. Excitement for nothing!
