How do you feel about EMF radiation and your devices you use everyday? I'm actually not really concerned with the Tesla. However I will certainly look at cell phone use. All the more reason to use hands free devices, especially in the car!

Thanks for the testing. We don't recall cell phones were so high when they were in the pocket and off. We stay a few feet away from the microwave oven when it is on. When it is off low reading. Your induction range is a concern but not a gas stove.
We also found out in our Model 3 (RWD) when accelerating the reading got higher at the very rear bottom of the rear seats, but not when in constant speed. Also a few inches above the rear seats reading dropped a lot. So butts hurt a little around the surface? Not much at the front due to RWD.
BTW we even tried a commonly available shield on the back seats, a fabric sold on Amazon, basically useless. But not much in the Model 3 to be of concern anyway.

Standing outside on a sunny day will net you more radiation exposure than any consumer device.
Unless you're exposed to something high power output you're not going to be harmed. Microwaves and high gain antennas can cause burns, but again, so does the sun.
Plenty of studies show that "em sensitivity" is not a thing and is literally a nocebo effect. The side effects are directly corrected to reports of the effects and if the people think they have been exposed and have nothing to do with wether or not they have been exposed.

All good points, except when the EPA provides an exposure advisory at such a low limit, there is a legit concern, if we can avoid it without much hardship, then avoid it. But if we have to give up too much of convenience, maybe not.

Also a lot of these measurements were taken when the car is stopped. They need to be performed with a tri-field meter to be on the same axis as the source while the car is in motion or on a dyno. Looks like he is using a single axis meter. Also you have to make sure you meter measures in the Hz to 10 Khz range (not those cell phone ones in the 100+ Mhz range). This is a very common pattern : corporations launch products that could be harmful, then with lobbies, they finance studies that show nothing is wrong with their products. They keep doing this for years or decades until the harm of the product can not be denied anymore as evidence becomes obvious. This is exactly what happened with tobacco and asbestos in the past. And this is very likely what will happen with the increasing amount of emf radiations in our world.

    • @jesselam5867
      @jesselam5867 2 года назад +1

It's not afraid, it's more like they can't. EMF radiation has become so integrated into our lives, it's nearly impossible to have a control group where you have a group of people that aren't exposed to EMF and people who are with similar environments. Since you can't make a direct comparison, you can only make lab studies and try infer information from that. But since it's done in a lab, there are limitations as it doesn't paint the whole picture. Just because EMF has been shown to be harmful in the lab, doesn't mean that it's harmful in the real world. Its sorta like in theory vs in practice. There may be a disparency which makes it hard to definitely say it is Harmful unless people in the real world, actually start getting negative side effects, which hasn't happened so far in the past two decades.

Hi guys, you're actually supposed to aim (point the top of) that meter at the device or specific location that you want to measure (according the manual that comes with that meter). You can notice a big difference in the readings if you do. When measuring the EF output of appliances with a "touch screen" (like a refrigerator with an ice dispenser, certain Ranges, etc., etc.) I have found that if you touch the "touch screen" with the top of the meter, sometimes you can get EF readings around 1000! The same can be said with your CPAP, dimmer switches, etc. Scary stuff!

The physics of non-ionizing radiation limits any harmful effects to heat effects which could at high doses denature proteins making them not function. The body would simply eliminate and replace them. Ionizing radiation is a whole different story and their effects would depend on the type, x-ray, gamma, alpha, etc.

You'd need thick metal sheeting like copper (used in radiation protection clothing in hospitals i think). You'd need to put metal sheeting on your walls like the faraday cage. Or if there is thick layer copper clothing, that would be brilliant.
Check out the brand Lvfeier. They make radiation protection hats. The brain is the most affected organ from radiation. A bit expensive, but the hats reduce the RF exposure like 95%. I've tested it. 300mW/m2 spike from a 4G phone down to 3mW/m2 (highest spike). Thicker the layer and the better. Cheaper to just by the fabric and make thick layers and make a hat out of the metal fabric. But a hat doesn't protect the face or brain through the eyes and face.

Thanks for raising the subject, a couple of data points to consider: EMF radiation/strength increases/decreases exponentially with distance. Proven to cause intracellular damage to waste removal process, protein synthesis, DNA replication... especially in soft tissues (testes, ovaries, brain). As an example, considering both points, a prepubescent girl (or a pregnant female carrying a female embryo) sitting in the back seat (close to the battery) is most susceptible to genetic damage in dormant egg cells that would present in her children (years later) and/or her children's children. EMF levels close to batteries and motors can exceed 100 mG during operation. Levels at very low speeds can exceed 3 mG (I tested this with a Tri-Field meter in 2 Teslas and 5 Priuses). Israel had (possibly still does) a 4-hour consecutive exposure limit for police and military riding in electric or hybrid vehicles in order to reduce aggregate daily dosages. A solid proof of damage from continued EMF exposure study requires tracking the sample population for 10-20 years. Shareholder returns being what they are that's not going to happen. And we haven't really discussed environmental and health costs of mining the raw materials then burying the spent batteries. A bit of irony/poetry - Nikola Tesla pushed for (and was possibly killed because of) his vision for FREE ENERGY, free energy so humanity could focus on loftier issues, and evolve... Musk is the richest man on the planet. What a species.

Have you experience symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, poor memory, difficulty sleeping, and lack of clarity in your thoughts? It may seem that these could be the results of day-to-day stress and busyness, but there may be another culprit. All of these are symptoms of electro-sensitivity, which is something more and more people are finding themselves affected by. Studies done in 1997 have found “less than a few cases (of electro-sensitivity) per million”, however now as much as 2.5% of the population find themselves affected by electro-sensitivity. Even by most moderate calculations, electro-sensitivity is 1,000 times more common now than it was 20 years ago. Why could this be?
Electro-sensitivity and its symptoms seem to be triggered by certain microwave frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. Microwaves are frequently used in electronics for the purposes of communication between devices. Due to their high frequency, microwaves allow for higher transmission rates and small antenna sizes, which is perfect for high-tech devices that are constantly getting smaller and faster. These are devices such as cell phones, tablets, laptops, and any devices able to connect to Wi-Fi, which can now include TVs and refrigerators
Numerous studies, moreover, (2011-2017) report an increased risk of brain cancer due to the use of mobile phones Concern for other cancers: breast (male and female), testicle, leukemia, thyroid and much more. the current classification of radio frequencies as carcinogenic to humans (Class 2B) should be updated to carcinogenic to humans
Many claim that this is not true at all or that there is no evidence just to progress with the construction of radio transmitters!
And the 5 g accelerates all of this.
One piece of advice I would like to give is to equip yourself with devices that protect against electromagnetic waves, such as Aires tech products, produced by AMERICAN AIRES, in my opinion is one of the best on the market
5g is part of progress, it is right to progress but why not protect yourself?

Thank you for the video and the measurements. The data was quite valuable. According with the Building Biology EMF Guidelines, approved by scientist and more sensible than official EMF guidelines. Levels of MAGNETIC EMF sources where you spend a considerable time should be less than 100 nT or 1 mG, above 1 mG the MEMF is considered severe, meaning that it is likely to impact your health. The average measurements inside the Teslas were around 48 mG or 4,816.25 nT (Varying from 0.2mG to 144.60 mG). Based on the data, this average of MEMF is quite HIGH! Drivers and passengers would be subjected to these levels regardless, for many hours throughout the day. So even if the BB guidelines is too conservative, these numbers show the disconnect between our technology and the safety of its users.

Also, look outside the US for honest info about the dangers of EMFs. Many countries (especially in Europe) have much stricter regulation on radiation output from cell towers and phones. Sweden even recognizes EMF sensitivity as a disability. You can google charts of the limitations per county. It’s pretty astonishing.

    • @Dutch3DMaster
      @Dutch3DMaster Год назад

AC might also be inconclusive: I'm not 100% sure how the Tesla's drives it's motors, but it's probably something like a PWM-style chopping at a high frequency that an AC meter will not be very well capable of reading, either because it's sample time is way to low, or due to the frequency being high only picking up some of the highs and lows, and providing an inaccurate reading that way.

    • @mrunites6953

PWM pulse train (as variable as it runs with throttle level)
can be spectrally analyzed by its Fourier Series (Fourier Transform) so as long as the EMF meter covers the spectrum produced, it can give fairly accurate results.
And as far as pure DC (static electric & magnetic fields) there is a big question if they have any impact at all on human biology.

  • @timvancleave8649

An electromagnetic field (also EMF or EM field) is a physical field produced by electrically charged objects. It affects the behavior of charged objects in the vicinity of the field. The electromagnetic field extends indefinitely throughout space and describes the electromagnetic interaction. It is one of the four fundamental forces of nature (the others are gravitation, weak interaction and strong interaction).
    1) EMF - Electro Magnetic.... like as in electric motor; that will give off a significant field. So will just about any power supply (create an electromagnetic field). Microwaves differ from product to product. Some have a narrow band they
You can easily see this by looking at the 2.4 GHz spectrum when the microwave is on (you can use an SDR to see this).
    2) In the ICE vehicle you are putting the meter right over the MCU (that is the typical location) and may be picking up the power supply from the MCU.
    3) An induction cooker transfers electrical energy by induction from a coil of wire into a metal vessel that must be ferromagnetic. The coil is mounted under the cooking surface, and a high frequency (e.g. 24 kHz) alternating current is passed through it. The current in the coil creates a dynamic magnetic field.

I am now interested in installing a charge source that would send 100 amps at 13.6 volts and am wondering if that is safe to have going out from under my seat. I would also be curious if the EMF would be reduced if instead I connected the charge device under the hood instead of under the seat as it would be furtheraway. Hope my question is clear enough. Those are two very different things, with ionizing radiation being quite dangerous to health. You should really point that out. Also, if you want to register a high magnetic flux density on your meter, you need to operate an electric car at high power. The reason electric cars are limited in their top speeds is that there is back emf (bemf) produced at the motor and that bemf voltage approaches the voltage of the battery. I bet your meter will read higher at high kW power output.

Likewise, asbestos was everywhere in buildings, because it was considered perfectly safe for decades. As for EMF, above 2mG under powerlines are associated with childhood leukemia. Anyhow, you are using the wrong test meter. The meter you need is a AC current 50/60Hz Tri-field meter, not a Wifi (2.4/5G Hz) meter. What you did is like testing the temperature of an oven by using a sound meter to hear how loud it gets. If you use the correct meter, the reading I saw reported (I don't know if it's totally accurate) is around 400mG while driving for the back seats where babies and children sit. If your family considers that safe, you are heroes, because the rest of humanity are relying on your families as the test subject to find out what happens to your health 30 years later, just like for X-rays, Asbestos, and Thalidomide (Google it please - 10,000 children born without arms, and took decades for manufacturer to admit it).

I think it goes way up then.

Maybe the EMF was stronger in the passanger footwell( for the ICE cars) because usualy behind the glovebox is the fusebox

My 2023 model y performance hit 160 milligauss under full acceleration at the floor of the car. Makes my legs and hands go numb.

I think the source for high EMF on ICE vehicle passenger side under airbag is the alternator. I would also test the EMF during the Tesla's regeneative braking.

Did the same tests myself a few years back. I am not going to worry too much about it; I just won't be eating seafood with exposure from the Fukushima plant and won't be putting a laptop on my "lap" or a cell phone in my pocket or against my head.

Hi guys. I'm considering installing Tesla Powerwall in my garage. Did you try EMF reader with your Powerwall batteries? Thanks

Thanks! I’ve got one friend who is convinced EVs are off the charts for EMFs. How bout testing near the motors while driving? Or the floor? You should also test the microwave while on.

I have tested them whike driving. Only the Tesla Riadster is bad. Accekerating is very high. I saw 5 to 10 milligaus driving at a steady rate but it jumped to 30 to 40 while hard accelerating.

Only super high while plugged in with a live current. No big deal to drive but never, ever sit in a charging EV
