Hello, if I hear clicking sound when I press window down, but window doesn't go up or down. Does that mean that I have to change regulator likey you did in this video?

Thank you very much! I been looking for long time for that driving with staked window for half year. Do you have the part number of the regulator?

Do you know where the electric window fuse can be found in a audi a3 1998?

I'm not familiar with 98' but my moms 99' has many or even all of the fuses and relays in the drivers side fuse box. If you have not checked that then that is a good place to start looking. If it isn't there, I'd personally follow the wires even though it sounds silly :DD. I hope my help was useful!

I found the answer. It's in the engine fuse box (next to brake fluid). The fuse itself is S134 110A fuse. The 110A fuse connects to a thermal fuse (S37 30A fuse,) which splits into both door window regulators through the window regulator switces. Also as a side mention, Audi A3 models from 1996 to 2000 have the same cabin and engine fuse boxes. I don't actually know where the second cabin relay box is, but that thermal fuse (S37 30A) goes there...

So the window regulator is riveted into place? Why?! Sounds like Apple riveting their keyboards on the MacBooks. What's wrong with a simple screw? I wanted to replace it on my A3 2001, but now I have second thoughts. Can you replace it without removing the rivets?

Easy to remove the rivets, just drill out with an 8mm cobalt drill bit. Then replace with 5.5mm pop rivets.
Don't think Audi were expecting these cars to be pushing 200K :) A broken electric window is small problem in comparison to a wrecked engine at 90K

Also the rivet fastens into the frame, so a screw/nut/bolt wouldn't work
