J. Jill is one of my favorites. The nice pants and knit/linen tops are amazing for eBay. But Eileen fisher is my all time favorite! I just found 200 pieces at one estate sale for 5$ a piece and it’s selling so fast. Mature brands are my best seller I’m from Lawrence KS btw
Vuori is my favorite brand to reseller, last week I found 12 Vuori men items (all XL) at Goodwill and I already sold 8 😮

I was just the other day having a conversation with myself about Lilly Pulitzer. “Stop picking it up!” I was telling myself. “It just sits!” I kept thinking….. and then tonight I sell a dress for $60! Lilly has a firm grip on my heart! 🩷💚🩷
I found my first LP item a couple of months ago. Tons of likes. Asking $33 for a sweater. Still sitting.

I really think this is relative. Without poshmark giving out stats …is like shooting blanks. There is a lot that goes into moving items ( good photos, good description) Do your own homework, look at your own closet and buyers. But still thank you for the time invested in this ❤
I dunno. Chico's selling for $25 doesn't sound so bad TO ME. I just cannot relate here anymore. I come from immigrant working class folk and don't sniff at a $20 to $24 profit.
She does live in portland though and everything is more expensive, including the thrift stores. There’s about 10 “vintage” shops in every neighborhood. So if it’s at the bins for a couple bucks then it makes sense to grab but if not then no way. I live in Portland as well and just went to a thrift store and bought myself a Madewell blazer for $30. $30 at goodwill! It was for me so I didn’t mind but for resale… lol no

@@rachraves4734 I agree...if the price at thrift is too high, and won't turn a profit, pass all day long. It also depends on the business model, too. My business model is, "I will sell Chico's for a PROFIT of $20 any day of the year".
If Chico’s made me $20 profit, I would be ALL ABOARD! But it sells for $20-$25 (even NWT) for me, which after cogs and fees isn’t much profit :/
Chico’s is priced where I live between $10-12. Not enough meat on the bone to ever purchase!!
This was so fun to watch and funny. It's a regional thing for sure. I'm in NC and for us Chico's (even though women wear it) is like a yard sale item. It's all about where you live :)
Completely agree with you about AE. Some Lilly clothes sell for an amazing amount. Don’t write off Talbots- larger sizes sell well.

Every Nike piece regardless of what it is has sold fast for me on Poshmark. It’s actually in the top 3 selling brands on Posh. Recent sales, Pink leggings $38, womens Camo joggers $40. Nike Running shorts $20 sold a ton of these and Nike sports bras $20-25. If you are talking bread and butter and you can source at the bins I truly don’t understand how you can skip Nike for a fast flip.

I used to work at a Lilly store, they have such a cult following. The people that love Lilly, LOVE LILLY. But it sells best when you’re an actual follower of the brand and in buy/sell groups for them specifically. Easier to keep track of the pieces people want, the prints that sell the best, etc.

I find Lulu almost every time I thrift, but I just don't pick it up anymore. It doesn't move fast enough for me. Men's Lulu has also slowed down for me. Bird Dog is going well though.
J.Jill is one of my favorites brands but I personally love it too. Anthropologie is also one of my favorites.

Agree about Talbots they’re everywhere! so many of the others brands, I NEVER heard of nor have seen. No wonder I don’t sell much 😂. I found lots of Chico’s in Florida.
Agree with you on all. I just have to add that Lauren Ralph Lauren dresses have been selling for me lately.
I feel Ive done better with Med Coture than I have Figs but Ill definitely pick up Figs if I find it in excellent condition. I agree with most of your list, although I cannot seem to move Eileen no matter how I price it
Lilly Pulitzer is my number 1 selling brand, but you can’t just pick up any piece for sure.
Me too. I sold a girl's Lilly P dress and was surprised it sold so quickly. I like the non-clothing Lilly P, like the mugs and scarves, etc. I source Levis jeans ONLY if they are less than $2. Their suit jackets do well for me. I can't sell Eileen Fisher to save myself. Her pieces sit for a long time. I pass by J Jill. Talbots used to be a good seller, but now I consign it out. Or wait and wait for it to sell.

If I could only sell Eileen Fisher, I'd be happy. I move all sizes, all day, every day. My ASP if around $40. Vintage, current--doesn't matter. You have to price it right and know how to market it. A lot of people underprice, and the EF customer is skeptical about items that are too cheap. Personally, I don't buy items that are too cheap because I assume something is wrong with it. A lot (not all, of course) of consumers feel this way.
I see Figs a lot and have stopped picking it up. For the COG ($8-$9 in LA) it doesn't give me much of a profit and it sits and sits even though I have the style name, etc.
Love J. Jill. I only pick up Pure Jill, Love Linen, or anything with supima or pima cotton--regardless of size. The better tier fabrics do well.
I won't touch Lulu's with a 10-foot pole. It's everywhere in L.A., new with tags, and it does not move.
I suppose this is all relative based on how much you can get the item for, business model, and if you know how to market the item. The brands that sell best for me I know them well and actually enjoy the pieces/style. I've been in-store seasonally. I know the size, styles, and I know how to market it to the customer.
You and me both with Lulus! I do a happy dance when I find formal wear for cheap🤣
My jaw dropped at the first one, I live in SC and the ladies love it here. I pick it up most of the time.

This was such a fun video! It had me really thinking about what I do for each of these brands when I’m at thrift stores. I am crossing my fingers that I find Figs, Judy Blue & Vuori at some point. As I was watching you move the logos around it made so much sense with how many of those brands perform with my reselling business as well. I absolutely struggle to sell Madewell like so many other people do. I will pick it up for my own personal closet, but very rarely get it for reselling. I also realized I need to cool it on picking up J. Jill. Although I love the brand & pieces, they move slower than what I would like. I found that with Vioinics if I get more basic styles I’m not willing to pay as much up front anymore in order to get a decent profit. Thanks for such a great video!

I sell Nike shoes fast and get up to $250. In fact it’s my number 1 selling brand.

I’m not a Lilly fan either lol but I love when I find it here in north Florida…. Not as common as you may think ….. since everyone is a reseller now 😅

This was great, I do also think relative. I truly believe people have access to different brands in different states and also brands sell better in some areas than others. Some of these sell well for me if I can get them and others can't move at all. I do find that interesting though why some people can sell something like FiGS really well and others can't move it at all. I personally love Viori, Kuhl, Rohn, Peter Millar Torrid Lulus & a few others. I also do well with certain styes when brand is good.

American Eagle doesn't really sell for me at all, however, Aerie will move for me, usually within a month, but rarely over 25 dollars
Lol totally agree . People want aerie for nothing …. So like $20 and under …. I never pick it up if it’s over $3 lol . I personally love aerie ….. not picking up aeo anymore but I think buy sell trades still buy it from you .
This cracked me up and was so informative at the same time, one of my fave videos of yours! I feel like your channel usually disagrees with some of my favorite brands so I was surprised with the generous ratings here. I'm surprised Athleta got top tier, I've definitely overpaid and then got a low sale price for its pieces - you definitely have to look for certain styles and tags as older pieces just sit and sit. Small sizes are hard in Athleta too I've noticed. I'm shocked Fabletics didn't make the responses, where would you rank that one? I wish J.Crew performed as well for me, are you looking up each piece or only grabbing certain types of pieces or newer label only?
american eagle jeans do good in the bigger sizes! size 12 & up do well. smaller sizes do alright in flare leg / artist style. but definitely wouldn't pay more than $5, and I only pick up the smaller stuff at the bins to take to consignment.
Lily P is more of a northeast brand than southern. It's extremely common in my area Boston. They're even headquartered in PA. I think the south has a few brands of their own that are similar with the bright prints. I find so much LP in the thrift.
I'm near Boston and never see people wear it! Interesting take...I think it has such a reputation of being a Southern brand
I like going to Ross for Nike, they sometimes have really funky Nike styles that sell between $50-$90 depending on what it is.
Nike Collaboration I pick up, some are worth hundreds.
I like J. Jill linen pieces, wearever collection dresses, and pull on ponte pants, all plus sizes!
I loved this video! Music was a little distracting. Maybe just a tad too loud.
I buy nike at bins and sometimes at goodwill, but I combine two and make set....ie golf set $39.

As a Southern girl in Portland last week, I feel the Lilly P! Pulitzer is something so common in the south, but no the trend at all in PNW.
this was fun to watch. Lilly Pulitzer definitely doesn't do it for me anymore. I feel like my thrifts have found out about FIGS and now charging $8 for it instead of the $2 so I don't pick it up anymore. a lot of these brands I pick up at the bins only and even some still don't make it home lol
I live in Portland too, and I have only picked up Nike twice. I find it all the time but always pass, even new with tags. I never understand the hype behind Patagonia, it takes forever for me to sell and only a couple things have sold for a relatively decent amount. I usually pass on American Eagle, but I found a bunch of jeans at the bins that were only about a year old, I listed two pairs that had good comps and they sold super fast, the others I consigned. Now I always check the date code and consign them if they are newer.
yeah Patagonia kinda sucks except for a handful of things. I don't understand making it top tier. Perhaps some stuff but not as a brand.

You should price your Judy B higher, I typically get 30-40 for jeans if they are in great condition. Just got 30 for a pair of shorts! Love that brand. Heard of it from Erin Parker….another you tube reseller.

Awe man first one is a SOLID always YES for me - sold a little girls Lilly in less than 24 hours last night for $44 on Posh. I’m in Florida. It’s all I wear besides t-shirts so I supposed I’m biased 😂 however - you have to know what Lilly sells. It’s not all cute. Vibrant neon? Yes. But the kids stuff sells just as great as adults and I find it all the time. Love this style of video, background music was a bit loud, but I think it’s just completely related to where you live. I find Chico’s all day at the bins for example here, lots of retired people around.
So funny you commented on this, because as soon as she started talking about lily I thought of you and was 100% thinking how you would have to argue and put it in the top tier lol.
@@desireedegenar6110 haha it made me look back and I’ve had 4 Lilly sales in the last week alone and ALL of them sold within 2 days of listing. One for $91! I’ll never pass on the brand if it’s got neon colors in it. (The navy blue stuff or old white label, bleh)

I don’t like torrid doesn’t move for me. Madewell doesn’t move for me. Lulus is a no. Lilly does ok here in the south. A lot of these brands I can’t find at all.
Same! I’m in TN. I never find decent Levi’s. Crazy! LP is priced up where I live $15-30!

Every Lilly I find but ONE VINTAGE SKIRT has sold within 14 days and for asking or close to asking... Lilly is a no brainer for me. Vineyard Vines... Crap... I pick it up all the time, pay way too much and profit cents... I have a REAL problem leaving it behind, but it NEVER does well. I even say to myself, "what are you doing??". I think it comes done to me shopping in their stores and never being able to pay the ridiculous retail prices. My Athleta SITS FOREVER and I have to give it away... I never buy it unless its a jacket or very current piece.

None of the mature brands like Lily, J.Jill, chicos, Talbots or soft surroundings sell for me.
