Being a girl boss has phases. I just closed a 2 million a year business with 15 employees that I grew from scratch over the last 20 years. My kids left for college, covid changed everything and I decided this girl boss was moving to the beach, going to downsize my lifestyle and be a reseller. The best part of my day is driving down the beach to the post office. I’m choosing freedom over money.
Amen sister. I strive to eventually get there. Been downsizing my stuff and lifestyle so I can live a much simpler life.
Being a mother is the ultimate “girl boss”. Congrats!

Beth, I’m in my 50s now and I can tell you that you are doing the right thing. There is nothing more important than your job as a mother. Nobody ever regrets not working more. They DO regret time lost with their kids.
Congratulations, Mogi Beth! The best thing about building our own business is that we can always decide what that business looks like. Your business is fuel for your life. Your life isn't fuel for your business. You 100% have your priorities in order. 🙂
I've been a stay at home Mom to my 4 kids for 16 years now. Reseller on the side to be able to be available to them. Best decision of my life, to build a home for my family. Congrats!
My youngest daughter just left for college this year- a year early (she’s a senior in high school but decided to be dually enrolled). I can’t tell you how hard it’s been without them. I wish for a minute I could go back and hug those little pigtails. Listen to their sweet high voices. Embrace your babies. Live your life. On the end, that’s really what matters most.
I think what you're describing is a girl boss. Freedom to be with your family especially when it counts.

First - so glad you’re ok, I was worried something terrible had happened but it’s the opposite, something wonderful! I think you have found your “enough”! As women we are always told now that we should want it all, can have it all, etc. but we don’t need to do it ALL. I’m so glad to hear you’ve found a balance that is just enough to make you happy and suit your life!
So proud of you for realizing that your “ideal business” looked different now and for being brave enough to execute changes. Success really isn’t in the numbers but in how well it works for our wants and needs. I love the new setup!

Congratulations on your next phase! This popped up in my feed at exactly the right time. After 20 years of a volatile career and being treated like there was always a fire and emergency to solve only to be let go after getting companies to stable / successful waters, I'm taking a time out and full time reselling to take back control over my life and time. It's time to have fun and be creative again! What you and other resellers have been able to accomplish from an earnings point of view has been so inspiring over the past few years, that it's been fuel for helping me see that I can do it too. Good For You! You can't get back these precious years with your children. Money, Goals, and Dreams are temporary but what we instill in our children is forever. I have 6 children aged 15-33 and I have been a sit-at-home homeschool mom and I will never regret that. Now with tons of grandchildren I get to see what type of parent I was making out of my own children. It's amazing! I have a Police Officer, Teacher, Therapist, and two sit at home moms, and one student left. God is good and He will guide you with that inner voice that I am glad you listened to! I have enjoyed your videos and look forward to your next chapter.
I’m so happy for you! There is NOTHING as good as being a mother, for most of us. You are doing GREAT. Success isn’t what the world says it is. It’s one part of a pie that makes up life. The mom life is long days with short years! You will never regret the time you spend with your Dad and daughters, but you would regret the times you spent weren’t there. GOD BLESS YOU, sweet lady……

It's just way less stressful.

I haven’t watched you in a while for the exact reason you stated in that (I dont know you from a can of beans, plus I am watching from 🇬🇧😊) I could almost feel you were not entirely happy. When you had your little one I thought “this will change her whole life and reason, she will make changes 👍🏾). Having a child can really make life make sense (if you get my meaning). So sorry about your Dad, I’m a parental carer myself. Your life is coming into balance now and I’m so glad you understand this 🙏🏾. I’m so sorry I’m seeing my life in you. So inspiring!! My Aunt my icon my second Mom was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in September 2022. It looking back was more like 2018 undiagnosed. She was with us until a few weeks ago. I am so happy that you’re having another baby 🥰 I promise you it will lift the heaviness of your Dads diagnosis bringing new life and love into the world it’s the only thing that got me through such a hard time was knowing another little Angel would be coming into my and my family’s life. My daughter is due the beginning of December. I'm trying to sell also for two years now. It's not good. I get a sale here and there and it isn't like my prices are crazy. I am on permanent disability because of my cancer battle so I figured I'd try especially because I love shopping. I am so glad that you found the balance that works for your life! That is why I started reselling so I could cater the hours I am working to my current life situation! If the kids are sick I can work less, if I decide to volunteer I can. Flexibility is the greatest thing about reselling especially when you have a family!

This video couldn’t have come at a better time for me to see right now, it’s hard to explain but I’m in a similar place in my life, I have 2 girls, a 3.5 and a 1.5 year old, since having my second girl and as she’s been growing it has become increasingly harder to balance reselling and being a stay-at-home Mom. Lately I’ve been toying with the idea of letting reselling go in a big way so I can be a more present Mom, and I feel this video gave me some clarity on what to do. You’re who I binge watched when I first started reselling so it’s nice to be able to still relate to you!
