Thank u Marques. U just made my Xmas for my son even better with this video. My son is 10, he do has a hisense tablet, but all he do is play games and listen to music. So this tablet will be great for him. Thanks.
+nick sorrow but its a gaming tablet lol no worries rule of thumb, if something can game well then it pretty much can do most things really well or at least has the capacity to do so
Light Bulb It may have the capacity to do so, but that doesn't mean the ui is friendly, its a smooth machine, or anything that has to do with just daily use. Hence the reason I made the comment about a month ago.

Finally someone who i can relate to regarding the whole gaming on my phone/tablet deal. Love the review might get this for my daughter. Keep up the good work.
Marques, Thanks a ton for the great review! The tablet looks great. I'd like to thank you for delegating the reviewing of the gaming aspect of the tablet to someone who is more knowledgable than yourself. That's extremely respectable. Again, great vid!
Great video, Marques! I also do not game, but was still very intrigued by this tablet as just a "Nexus"-ish option. Yours is the only review I've found that looked at the Shield for its regular day use, so thanks!
I'm kind of surprised that you didn't do a review or anything over the tegra note 7 but I'm really glad you talked about this tablet! The shield tablet is without a doubt best bang for your buck.
My k1 runs no where near that fast its so slow loading the smallest of things it freezes and start up is such a pain . What iam i doing wrong? Iam suppose to firmware upgrade this thing or what? Battery life is horred so idk whats wrong with it.
Mostly the android 7 ruins it. But also that it only has 2gb of ram. With the newest apps , it's struggles. Basically nowadays it's good for emulation and movies. Don't try playing android games, it will lag bad. It's not necessarily the hardware. It's the software. Heard some people do custom roms to fix this lag issue.
In general, it's a billion times better. iPads are weak, low resolution and flimsy tablets that are, well, Apple. This tablet is cheaper, has better hardware, is more durable, the Stylus, and the fact it's a smooth Android experience.
I love this video!! Sooooo many complain about game stream not working or the controller/ case being so out of stock... OK mostly just one. But people just don't get just how much tablet they really get for so little doh! Props to you bro, love all your reviews
I never thought I'd see the day when people call 1080p displays "midrange, and not super high resolution". 4k displays aren't standard enough to be calling 1080p displays average.

"poor battery life and how apps crash a lot" Welcome to Android and the Tegra chip. Tegra chips have great graphics performance, but their drawbacks are their battery life is not as good as other ARM chipsets, they don't have integrated LTE, and they run a bit hotter.
Tech MG Ok... And since when does a Nexus 7 2013 have a Tegra chip? It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4Pro.. It will obviously consume less power than a Tegra K1 chip with its 192 kepler cores... I still prefer my Shield Tablet to my friend's Nexus 7 though... The screen size makes the diference and also the speakers and of course the performance when it comes to gaming.... Also, you can always use a more energy-saving profile when you don't need all the Chip's power...
VideoUploaderHD your completely correct, but im just stating my that mine doesnt crash and you have a different one which is fine, i never said it was bad (its actually really cool i want one)
Thanks for being the only one, as far as I have seen, to review more on this tablet than gaming. I think a lo of people are going to sleep on this tablet and miss out. I think they improved on the Nexus 7 a little. Front facing speakers, smooth usability, practically stock android... I am really looking forward to getting this tablet.
I've had mine since it came out. Battery life lasts me a few days with light-medium, or 1-1.5 with medium to heavy usage. Not the best battery life because of the battery sucking K1, but still lasts a while.
Thanks, this was a really helpful review. I'm glad you looked at the non-gaming part of the Shield because I want a tablet that can do more then just that, but most other reviews have focused most on the gaming part.
Guys, guys...guys......guys... Guys...hey guys... Cmon, guys. _Psst, guys I'm pretty sure he's trashing the macbook's hardware by comparing it to the tablet, guys._ ._.
I'm glad to hear MKBHD isn't really much of a gamer. I game heavily, and am subscribed to many game channels, but I get worn out by all the talk about FPS, resolutions, publishers, developers, consoles VS PC, and other industry drama. All the gaming personalities I've seen don't feel like they get enough sun, and don't have too many other interest. It's refreshing to see someone who is about the latest tech, and has other interest besides gaming.
Quick typo at 1:11 wrote CPU instead of GPU Otherwise awesome vlog you got going really has me hooked. How are you able to acquire all this tech? I.e. RUclips pays well? Freebies? A part time job?
Got mine from Dabs in the UK, packaging is dented and there are cracks on the corners of the tablet. Also, the screen has weak spots that ripple like a puddle and there is backlight bleed. Returning it in hope for a good one.
True. In App Purchases are a large reason why apps are so cruddy today. Plus people found out it's easier and faster to make money by copying an app than actually making a new one.
9 years later, someone just gave me this tablet when I asked for old abandon tech. It does not turn on, so I'll YT my way to see how I can revive this gem of a tablet.
What is this is your comment is ignorant. Google Shield GRID games. Those are the same as PS3 & XBOX360 games, streamed on the Shield for free by NVIDIA. All you need is a fast internet connection. You can also stream your Steam & PC games on the Shield, which based on your comment, you are oblivious of.
Moon Man thanks captain obvious, i'm also aware that if u're not living somewhere where there's LTE everywhere u go (including the subway/plane(?)/ship/countryside), u're limited to the terribad android games as they're the only games it can actually run without streaming. bad troll 2/10
Gaming is gaming, no matter what. Who the F are you insulting? You mean if you were born in the 70's or 80's you won't consider Pong & Atari games gaming? What kind of idiot are you?
Moon Man pong was the shit back then.... *NEWSFLASH!!!* it's not 70's anymore and games like flappy bird and temple run where u can't even control your character properly along with "swipes" and touch terribad controls are 1000000 steps back and an insult to gaming and u're an insult to gamers.
DO NOT BUY. gaming is great everything else sucks. When new it runs great just like every other new item but after a month mine crashed while watching netflix and only netflix. also lately my headphone jack gave out so I only have left side audio and I have never dropped or been rough to the tablet so dont buy it unless all you do is game. (p.s still crashes while gaming)
dude . i have had mine for a year now! and it have crashed once. ONCE RECOMENDED TO BUY! its one of the best tablets out there! it is good for gaming, drawing and taking pictures. the videoes run smoothly af and im using my tablet to write this comment!
+Asa Herrin ok i use it for gaming like it is supposed to be used and I use file managers and edit apk's and I watch vids on it and text and stuff all about dat android life.Happy now??
i've got a shield portable, and the gaming on that is really good. not sure if that's anything to go by on the tablet, but it's something you can keep in mind
Are you not a gamer just on tablets and phones...or do you not game in general? I am always a little suspicious of guys who don't game yet are "techie"...to me gaming is not only the most demanding application a chip can run but it tells me a lot about the techie behind the screen. Lol...i know a bit strange but im suspicious of fellow "techie's" that do not game...
Epyx911 Yeah, the Nvidia Shield tablet is the worst tablet I've used for all things beside gaming and even when gaming it's not that good. It gets uglier with time also, the speakers are covered in rubber and threads and the glue loosens easily and after a while it's threads everywhere and loose rubber. I don't own this version with the pen holder but another that is basically the same or even an "upgrade" lol.
***** Android L is already announced to be pushed to the shield and its OG Version... You should have also mentioned, that the K1 is the First Mobile SoC which is fully capable with all Desktop API's. So they said you can easily port any Desktop Programm/ Game within a week! Either way very gold Video !
Can You Explain Some Thing Please So If I Have Vindictus On My Computer Can I Play Vindictus On My Tablet Or Day Z And Can I Play These Games Say Far Away Like At School etc?
dastorm15 Yes you can play these Games via Gamestream in your local network without any latency. You can also play them outside but then you need a good upload speed. Theres also Nvidia Grid which can stream Games directly to your Shield from Nvidia Servers, but the amount of Games is very limited at the moment and you can't connect to you Steam Account there.
BTW. I've cracked up laughing when you said "two zgigazzbyteszz of RAM" You we're probably thinking in that moment "BRAIN STAHP, PLEASE, NO MORE DO-OVERS!" :D
Charles Cooper That was not my point, but I just knew that somebody would grab on that right away :) "at least" was aimed to the fact that MOBA types of games are rather casual / easy to play / get involved with.
TekTick First time I've seen anyone claim MOBA was a simple genre to get into. If it were something like Awesomenauts, maybe, but I imagine DOTA would immediately turn off someone who didn't play video games.
Charles Cooper I didn't say it was easy to get into per se, I just said it rather non-obligatory (by that I mean especially hardware wise as you can run it from almost anything), but yeah, what you said - that's true. But than again learning curve is another topic, and in the end, when you look at it, every game has it if you want to be good at it. :)
Thanks for the great usability review. Is the screen very reflective or aren't bright lights as much of a problem as they are with Nexus 7 and iPad Air?
Worst thing I ever bought. I bought quite a few time ago and it's already the 3rd one I have. All were defective and now the third is going back to factory because of those battery fire hazard risk that nvidia found out. 1 tablet = battery problems; 2 tablet = battery problems, wireless problem (didn't want to turn on), 1 dead pixel, and died after updating; 3 tablet = battery fire hazard risk replacement program by nvidia. - The tablet has awesome sound quality, however produces scratches on some frequencies (all my 3 shields had this problem); - The tablet is powerful however it has major lag on random things, even the store is lagged while moving. On my crappy quad core 1.2ghz cheap phone I never seen lag on anywhere; - Tablet battery goes from 100% to 85% in about 10 - 15 min just on the android OS without any app open, even before installing any app (factory reset) and with screen at low backlight.
Can you do a video of what's in your travel bag????? Like portable everyday cameras, any devices, chargers, laptop, etc. I know I'm not alone with wanting to see this....
Seems like an awesome tablet but don't you think it should have a QHD display and 3GB of RAM? I think that would make sense since it has a Tegra K1 and big screen, maybe they just wanted to make it a little more affordable.
Hey, whats'up, Marques, I've got a question for you... Do you buy all of the gizmos you review with your own money, or do you lend them, review them and then give them back ? Thanks :)
Very informative sir! Thanks for a straight forward review. Definitely helps me in my decision making regarding this particular tablet. Thanks again man!
should i get this tablet or the nexus 7 (2013) I like the size on the shield, but I'm not really that much into gaming and probably won't use any of the gaming features. the tegra k1 seems more "future proof" than the nexus 7's snapdragon s4. I just want the tablet that is quicker and will receive future updates such as android 5.0 and maybe even 6.0
Get the shield, even if you don't use any of the gaming features, it'll fly through media consumption, it's like a heavy weight lifter lifting tiny weights, it wont have a problem
I am in the exact same position at this point my only doubts is the screen brightness and battery life other wise im leaning to the shield more ... Max what do you think about the screen brightness and battery life
TheSnobar Hey, I've had my Shield Tab for a couple months now (and it just got Lollipop this morning!). The screen brightness is still very, very good, even if it isn't quite as bright as the peak Nexus 7 brightness. Keep in mind that when the N7 operates with that brightness, it'll burn through battery very quickly. The battery life on my Shield Tab started out just average, but has since really evened out and worked very well. I can watch 8 or so hours of video with ease.
That stylus can make or break the deal on buying this thing. For a lot of people out there having a stylus on a tablet is incredibly handy, and for the youth; a really great way to get your parents to buy this thing for school use.
Thanks for your review of this tablet, it was from my perspective exactly, since I am not a gamer either. I'm looking for a new tablet and am now leaning towards this one, since it sounds pretty solid. What is the "Google experience" that you said you loaded? Thanks again for another great review.

Bro, which camera you use? Your videos look awesome. Thanks.
Love the tablet! My gripe is also the buttons on the side. Sometimes I can't even tell if I'm pressing them. Also, I found it kind of hard to place the micro SD inside the slot. Besides that, I love gaming with it :)
I have a nexus 10 and I love it with the exception of 2 things. No expandable memory and the fact that it looses a charge while it's plugged in with even the lightest use while also taking forever to charge. Will this tablet still charge with heavy use? I was also wondering how long the battery lasted and how long it took to charge? Thanks to anyone who can help me out with these questions!
That awkward moment when this tablet is better than my PC...
It's certainly better than the ps3/xbox but your pc is probably better. Unless it's a cheap netbook.
Nah :P I paid it like $500 but 5 years ago :)
GreenActionFootage We're not there yet I think, but soon :P
Haha. Awesome comment.
I'm just telling the truth :D Haha, thanks.
I really love how you genuinely enjoy yourself when filming and making these videos. Your videos have changed so much in such a great way.
Thank u Marques. U just made my Xmas for my son even better with this video. My son is 10, he do has a hisense tablet, but all he do is play games and listen to music. So this tablet will be great for him.
Thanks.
Been looking for a video that doesn't just talk about the gaming and you hit it right on the head with this one. Thanks!
Hence the reason I made the comment about a month ago.
it's just htc speaker, nexus 7 design, and NVIDIA graphics
and 1/2 apple product price
And it's a perfect combination!
***** yes it is :DD
but the display is too reflective :c
***** Well HTC offers one of the best quality phone speakers out there.
MsMonster128 Get a matte screen protector. Btw it is just as reflective as any other glass display.
Aaron Joshua Turrioni I was just about to say that. Add a Samsung screen and it is truly perfect. Maybe with apple's build quality too if we are really going to push it.
You forgot to mention how this tablet scores twice as high in benchmarks then any other tablet including the iPad Air
Because of the k1's almost netbook like specs
***** the iPad Air is pretty fast, actually.
First of all, if you test the ipad air with benchmarking apps it scores better than most android devices with twice the ram (2gb).
Second, the ipad has a 2048x1536 screen which is much higher than 1080p.
ivanzegt But in reality what would you prefer: a higher quality screen or a tablet that has twice the speed and is $200 less.
Justin Brennan The ipad is faster than almost any android device though...
I thought the screen resolution was 1920x1200?? Not 1080 but I may be mistaken...
It is 1920 x 1200.
I just read that on their website :)
Nowadays when people talk about "720p" or "1080p", they're talking about 16:9 resolution. So, the largest 16:9 resolution you can pack into a 1920x1200 display would be 1080p. It's really "a bit higher than 1080p," but close enough, I guess.
asdfrozen It's a 1200P screen.
Eevee A_ It depends on your definition. Denoting a resolution with "1080p" or "720p" usually assumes a 16:9 aspect ratio, so 1200p would be something like 2133x1200, not 1920x1200.
I like that smh bit when you mentioned the quality of the cameras. Nice vid...
Good Review. Btw: Your room looks freaking cool!
FACTS
Great review! Watched on my shield tablet (my first tablet ever), and couldn't agree more about it being a solid tablet for everyday use!
Marques you said its resolution is 1080p but my info is its 1920x1200 !!
Finally someone who i can relate to regarding the whole gaming on my phone/tablet deal. Love the review might get this for my daughter. Keep up the good work.
Looking for a Christmas gift for my gamer son. Thanks for the thorough review.
Your son will be happy with it *:)*
he'll prefer if you ask what he wants; tablets, while nice devices, are pretty unnecessary and expensive.
Your gonna have one happy son
Check out the NVIDIA Shield Portable.
Please Adopt me :( :( Patricia McGowan
Marques,
Thanks a ton for the great review! The tablet looks great. I'd like to thank you for delegating the reviewing of the gaming aspect of the tablet to someone who is more knowledgable than yourself. That's extremely respectable. Again, great vid!
Brandon it’s been 7 years are you still alive?
Lol Screw up at 1:10. It's GPU not CPU lol (For anyone watching on a mobile Device)
***** Maybe he's watching on mobile.
***** where did he whinge about it? show me.
***** ***** I am on Mobile. When I went on PC, I saw the annot,
No.... Yes it is a cpu.
Openworldgamer47 LoL
Your first video that i watch! And i'm already love your channel since then : ) Keep the good work!!!
You don't need to become a gamer just to install a game and test how its play.
Great video, Marques! I also do not game, but was still very intrigued by this tablet as just a "Nexus"-ish option. Yours is the only review I've found that looked at the Shield for its regular day use, so thanks!
Better than nexus 9, the 4:3 on the 9 is ugly. This almost has the same similar specs and is 100$ cheaper.
agreed
only 100? i heard the 32gb LTE version is 599 dollars whereas the shield is 399.. i maybe wrong
Nikhil Pindis 16 gb wifi is 299, i would just add a quality 64 gig memory card
crankyboiy Yeah only Shield have expandable memory
Nikhil Pindis the thing I hear is that this tablet has horrible battery life
Clever use of gray card for color balance on the desk in the background. Proper color balance is key!
I liked and subbed
because he didn't tell me to do at the end of the video.
Tattle-Tale Strangler IKR I H8 IT WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT
Op could've taken advantage of ellipsis and not used the verb 'do'
these videos are so calming and interesting
A 192 Core CPU? Damn that´s crazy :D
Now Xeon looks like shit ;)
hcolman Indeed. But i guess the battery life isn´t that good.
The text in the video is wrong, it's the GPU that has the 192 cores, the CPU is just your regular quadcore powerhouse.
Gpu not cpu. Those core are Kepler core or Maxwell can't remember.
Basically they converted an Nvdia Gpu to a mobile one.
***** I was just kidding ^^ I know that it has 192 GPU cores and not 192 CPU cores.
XDerKleineX Like i sad to ***** it was just a joke^^
I'm kind of surprised that you didn't do a review or anything over the tegra note 7 but I'm really glad you talked about this tablet! The shield tablet is without a doubt best bang for your buck.

MKBHD is actually my favorite youtuber... kudos to you sir for making AWESOME and quality videos
Hi
What are the games you generally play although you are not a big gamer.
Aashay Dhruv Follow him on Google+ and you will be able to see all the apps and games he uses in the play store.
Yeah I did that any ways thnx
is it better than the ipad mini retina and ipad air
Yes if you game
the best tablet in the world...some people choose os over anything... looooooolllllllll
In general, it's a billion times better. iPads are weak, low resolution and flimsy tablets that are, well, Apple. This tablet is cheaper, has better hardware, is more durable, the Stylus, and the fact it's a smooth Android experience.
I am an idiot with a really long username i pads have a higher rez but they have a 4:3 aspect ratio
Millad Bahrami iPads have roughly 750p versus the NVIDIA Shield tablet full 1080p display.
Fuck your comment still to this day stands, 4k is still not standard on tablets.
Oh yeah..... And almost 1.6million subs!! Congrats bro.
3:42
*"It's a ten-eighty 8-inch display"*
Dude, it's 1920x1200.
That's the same for a tablet
Preston blake No, it's not. Ten-eighty means 1920x1080.
It's actually better
I was waiting for you "my favorite reviewer" to review this tablet yay!!
Those bezels are HUUUGE.
***** Awesome!
You say they're huge like it's a bad thing. Where else do you put your hands without touching UI elements ~.~
Bigger than my finger... or thumb.

Hi Marques. Just want to say great review as usual. I have subscribed. keep up the good work man!
How many people thought of this when they saw the Nintendo Switch?
The Switch is based on this. That's no secret.
COMENTARIOS
Always a trustworthy source. Bought the Shield off the back of this review and one other. Cheers old chap. Great videos :-)
Hopefully Nintendo Switch is much more powerful and efficient than Nvidia Shield Tablet
Man Man no
Man Man this is last gen hardware, so the Switch shouldn't have a problem unless Nintendo intentionally wanted to fuck up
Man Man If it has what they've been putting in their stuff for years it's gonna be so underpowered.
its the next generation tegra literally the next iteration of this. the switch is the next shield
Man Man lol no
Nice review! As an owner of an OG n7 and a 2013 n7, I can relate to your review 100%.
I like that Nvidia didn't make UI or changes to android.
My shield get's delivered today and I am anxiously waiting for the FedEx guy now! Obviously your video got me even more hyped.
I also wanted to say your desk set-up is amazing! Nice work!
I own this tablet. My biggest complaints are the poor battery life and how apps crash a lot. Otherwise a good tablet.
"poor battery life and how apps crash a lot"
Welcome to Android and the Tegra chip. Tegra chips have great graphics performance, but their drawbacks are their battery life is not as good as other ARM chipsets, they don't have integrated LTE, and they run a bit hotter.

Biggest mistake update to 6.0, that's why it drains
3:40 - It has a 1920x1200 display not 1080p!
Even in 2016 its still one of the fastest tablets out
What about 2021
Can i buy it in Romania
@@virt-manager don’t even think about getting this, much better stuff out.
Oh ;(
Do u still have it? It lags?

4:16 Omg it damn near zoomed right to my house, not even joking lol. If it zoomed to YOUR location, you must live very close by.
Its equivalent to the 6yr old MacBook..😂😂
like a macbook has any games for it though...
But its a tablet
For a tablet, its impressive.

anyone else think it looks like an htc one from the front?
I watched this on my M8

Anyone watching this on the nvidia shield tablet in 2018
Watching again In 2021, such a good tablet
Love to see new companies getting into tablet market
It is also capable of burning your house down and killing you and your loved ones.

Gaming tablet to play temple run 2 asphalt 8 and old GTA games :) sounds fun ...
Point is Mobile does not have great games
It has a feuture where you can play pc games
dude... you stream your steam games if you have a nvidia 600 series or higher to your tablet
True. In App Purchases are a large reason why apps are so cruddy today. Plus people found out it's easier and faster to make money by copying an app than actually making a new one.
RobloOliver Dumb comment. The Shield tablet can run steam games.

Nvidia should make phones with their processors.
+Alex K. I dont think phone have enough thermal control for them. There is a phone i think with a tegra 4. But would be amazing.
Your intro sounds so amazing on the shield tablet!!!!!!
Someone bought this to play clash of clans
i bought it for modern combat 5
yeah, i bought it for asphalt 8, modern combat 4, dead trigger 1&2 and into the dead. I think it'll be a great and solid tablet
I'd buy it for streaming from my PC (got a GTX 650 Whew), live-streaming, and/or Vainglory as well (Koshka and Taka main)
any comments about the tablet so far? i'm thinking about buying one
+Johan Seminario buy an oneplus or xiaomi, it has pretty good specs for gaming
glad I found this. I was going to buy the newest version but was worried it was just for gaming. I also needed it to do other things
Fuck it, I just bought it 😍 thanks amazon prime .
Jay Santillano is it good im planning on buying it
Jay Santillano Yeah how is it? I might buy it
Erlis Velasquez just ordered it
came today!! :D
Nice. How is it?
When you brought up the Tegra k1, you mentioned it had 192 GPU cores. In the video, the text is '192 CPU cores'.
It has 192 GPU(s). Wow.
Can't wait for Nintendo Switch
the sides kind of remind me of the surface pro... hmmm great review as always! haha love you shaking your head over the tablet
I love this tablet then more than my iPad air
Another terrific review, keep up the great job and peace!
gaming on a tablet? *BWAHAHAHAHA* what is this?!?! LOL
*cough* emulators *cough*
DO NOT BUY. gaming is great everything else sucks.
ONCE RECOMENDED TO BUY! its one of the best tablets out there! it is good for gaming, drawing and taking pictures. the videoes run smoothly af and im using my tablet to write this comment!
u obviously don't use or know how to use the tablet well
+D And R Gaming Asa Herin
+D And R Gaming I would love to hear how u use your nvidia tablet.
***** Those APIs will come officaly with Android L... And Unreal ENgine 4 is already fully working
***** Y U NO GAME?! At least MOBA... :D
BTW. I've cracked up laughing when you said "two zgigazzbyteszz of RAM"
You we're probably thinking in that moment "BRAIN STAHP, PLEASE, NO MORE DO-OVERS!" :D
"At least?" If he's not into gaming, MOBA is the last genre to sway him.
Charles Cooper
That was not my point, but I just knew that somebody would grab on that right away :)
"at least" was aimed to the fact that MOBA types of games are rather casual / easy to play / get involved with.
TekTick First time I've seen anyone claim MOBA was a simple genre to get into. If it were something like Awesomenauts, maybe, but I imagine DOTA would immediately turn off someone who didn't play video games.
Charles Cooper
I didn't say it was easy to get into per se, I just said it rather non-obligatory (by that I mean especially hardware wise as you can run it from almost anything), but yeah, what you said - that's true.
1 tablet = battery problems;
2 tablet = battery problems, wireless problem (didn't want to turn on), 1 dead pixel, and died after updating;
3 tablet = battery fire hazard risk replacement program by nvidia.
- The tablet has awesome sound quality, however produces scratches on some frequencies (all my 3 shields had this problem);
- The tablet is powerful however it has major lag on random things, even the store is lagged while moving. On my crappy quad core 1.2ghz cheap phone I never seen lag on anywhere;
- Tablet battery goes from 100% to 85% in about 10 - 15 min just on the android OS without any app open, even before installing any app (factory reset) and with screen at low backlight.
Can you do a video of what's in your travel bag????? Like portable everyday cameras, any devices, chargers, laptop, etc.
I know I'm not alone with wanting to see this....
Loved the video marques!:)
Hi Marques, sorry but I just noticed that you said 192 core GPU and there is written CPU in 1:09.
What about the battery. I think it was PC Mag that reported that even in Battery Saver mode, it only lasts like 3-4 hours.
Seems like an awesome tablet but don't you think it should have a QHD display and 3GB of RAM? I think that would make sense since it has a Tegra K1 and big screen, maybe they just wanted to make it a little more affordable.
Great review! I'm so tempted to get this tablet even though I do not game much on mobile devices
Hey, whats'up, Marques, I've got a question for you... Do you buy all of the gizmos you review with your own money, or do you lend them, review them and then give them back ? Thanks :)
I believe this is not a 1080p display (3:40) but rather 1920*1200.
Very informative sir! Thanks for a straight forward review. Definitely helps me in my decision making regarding this particular tablet. Thanks again man!
Goshhh, your videos are so well done!
Thanks Marques for another excellent review
should i get this tablet or the nexus 7 (2013) I like the size on the shield, but I'm not really that much into gaming and probably won't use any of the gaming features. the tegra k1 seems more "future proof" than the nexus 7's snapdragon s4. I just want the tablet that is quicker and will receive future updates such as android 5.0 and maybe even 6.0
Get the shield, even if you don't use any of the gaming features, it'll fly through media consumption, it's like a heavy weight lifter lifting tiny weights, it wont have a problem
And the shield will get 5.0 on the 18th
TheSnobar the screen doesn't get that bright but it's still very good and the battery life isn't a problem for me (I own one)
YES! I've really wanted to see a video of this!
Good job Mark
I really like your reviews😄
That stylus can make or break the deal on buying this thing. For a lot of people out there having a stylus on a tablet is incredibly handy, and for the youth; a really great way to get your parents to buy this thing for school use.
Love your videos dude keep it up!
Back - looks like iPad mini (especially camera)
front - HTC ONE?
Thanks for your review of this tablet, it was from my perspective exactly, since I am not a gamer either. I'm looking for a new tablet and am now leaning towards this one, since it sounds pretty solid. What is the "Google experience" that you said you loaded? Thanks again for another great review.
Bro, which camera you use? Your videos look awesome. Thanks.
Hey MB! the text @ 1:08 says 192 core CPU instead of GPU. otherwise thanks for another top notch review.
