Go see his channel, his reviews are excellent, you'll like them, he is actually very fair, clear and clean in his reviews, doesn't seem to 'work' for no tech brand, he has sponsors but that doesn't seem to give him a double agenda, he's making a lot reviews, and sometimes when he covered everything 'new' in the tech-world he does a 'segment' like this. The first time he did it, it went viral and everybody made home video's about there set-up at home.

***** It's not quite as black and white as that. Although I agree the whole thing could have been handled better, this wasn't all that bad. For one, they did say no nudity, and this shows that they didn't just want to gain traffic via tits. This ended up sending the wrong message, and at the end of the day there really is no particularly easy way to do this. I also notice how most of the invites going to girls are not for those with the highest ratings. They never specifically said guys should rate them, though we all know that would happen. As far as being sexist goes, not everything restricted to one gender is sexist. It's a great idea to help bring more females into the world of tech, this just wasn't a great execution- their hearts were in the right place I feel. When they saw it wasn't going well, they apologized and took it down. I don't think this was anything all that bad... at all. It was taken badly despite it clearly not being intentional, and the next thing was they took it down and said sorry.
I highly recommend "the better snap tool" in the app store for your macbook pro. Open windows on your mac desktop clip into even displays, side by side (similar to windows). Great for easily getting 2 screens at the same time (eg. E-books + notes) instead of manually resizing each panel to fit.
I'm running Yosemite and it is pretty stable. But I don't do high-end video editing so you've probably made the right choice for you. Mostly I downloaded it to see if I could squeeze another year out of my machine. Apparently so. Good luck this year.

Hey *****, I will have a similar configuration soon. I just ordered the OnePlus One and I am using a Mac aswell as an iPad. Since I am switching from an iPhone I would like to know if there will be anything I will miss and how I can eventually replace it with Android apps or workarounds, for example iCloud contact sync between iPhone and OSX, the iPhoto sync and iTunes (which I am using frequently). Since I am still on an iPhone contract from T-Mobile I can chose to keep the OnePlus One or get the iPhone 6 when it comes out. I want to make the Android experience as good as possible and, as an iPhone veteran, less subjectively.
I agree about the BB Passport. Would be awesome to have BB back in the game. They have obviously showed in the past to be pretty resourceful and at one time world leading in the sector.
Love the set up. I too use an ipad mini retina (16gb wifi) as my only tablet (although it's criminally under utilised), which is complemented with a 2014 macbook air as my only pc. Lastly, I have a Sony Xperia Z2 as my daily driver. Oh, and thanks for being the second person to remind me to check out Gimp!
Interesting that you have two different note-taking services: Keep (Android and Mac) and Simplenote (iPad and Mac). How do you separate your notes between the two, or have you found a way to synchronize notes across these two services?

thanks, great review about your selection of apps. although you didnt mention some crucial areas and only scratched the surface: 1. You didnt mention how you stream your music to your speakers from your phone and tablet? I like the one with Xposed and Bubbleupnp on a rooted phone, streaming to XBMC/Rygel/shairport server or the alike. whats your favorite method? spotimote is sufficient some of the way but ain't generic like airplay. 2. your best navigation app for gpx tracks with voice navigation. I like that one with Osmand for outdoor sports. also your favorite offline navigation app for driving? lots of money spent here! 3. recognition apps like vivino, google glass and shazam? well there are many more points but I was surprised you didnt go into a little more detail and only mentioned standard apps.
The only thing I find surprisingly missing here is are the office apps (word,excel etc.). Call me old fashioned but I find word still the best to make documents. Also the spelling and grammar checker is the best. Maybe not such a big problem when English is your native language but as a Dutchman word still does it for me.
If anyone is revising for exams and needs a good revision app I highly recommend study blue, you can sync all of your devices and flash card files so you can make and revise them where ever, I use them on android and apple.
Thanks for sharing, love your setup big fan of your monitors but it be worth something if you'd split one of your monitor by four with a Quad Screen Splitter of some sort.
Marques dont you miss your Bookmarks when you use Safari on the iPad instead of Chrome? This is like the most crucial point for me for switching to WP oder iOS. I have a lot of Bookmarks on my Desktop Chrome Version and like to use it on my Tablet and Nexus 4 as well.
Marques, when you don't have what to present, try a look at Samsung Gear S (curved display), based on Tizen OS, which is a much secure and responsive OS than Android. You would love to have Tizen OS on your phone but don't just believe me, do some research (a pro one).
What do you use to post your Instagram photos instead then? The ios app on your ipad mini? Does it make that much difference? I've always heard the ios Instagram app does a better job, do you have a quick way of sharing photos from your Android device to the ipad? I might start doing the same between my nexus 5 and ipad mini.
I'm actually really surprised by the lack of use of Android features. Just one widget, no Tasker, and mostly cross platform apps. Seems like you could use the larger iPhone and be satisfied. It's been awhile, I would be interested to hear why you use Android phones over the iPhone.

Thats mainly the reason i bought a mac. I can run windows when i want to game or just stick to osx for everything else.

Although I agree the whole thing could have been handled better, this wasn't all that bad. For one, they did say no nudity, and this shows that they didn't just want to gain traffic via tits. This ended up sending the wrong message, and at the end of the day there really is no particularly easy way to do this.
I also notice how most of the invites going to girls are not for those with the highest ratings.
They never specifically said guys should rate them, though we all know that would happen.
As far as being sexist goes, not everything restricted to one gender is sexist. It's a great idea to help bring more females into the world of tech, this just wasn't a great execution- their hearts were in the right place I feel.
When they saw it wasn't going well, they apologized and took it down. I don't think this was anything all that bad... at all. It was taken badly despite it clearly not being intentional, and the next thing was they took it down and said sorry.

I highly recommend "the better snap tool" in the app store for your macbook pro. Open windows on your mac desktop clip into even displays, side by side (similar to windows). Great for easily getting 2 screens at the same time (eg. E-books + notes) instead of manually resizing each panel to fit.

I'm running Yosemite and it is pretty stable. But I don't do high-end video editing so you've probably made the right choice for you. Mostly I downloaded it to see if I could squeeze another year out of my machine. Apparently so. Good luck this year.

Hey *****, I will have a similar configuration soon. I just ordered the OnePlus One and I am using a Mac aswell as an iPad. Since I am switching from an iPhone I would like to know if there will be anything I will miss and how I can eventually replace it with Android apps or workarounds, for example iCloud contact sync between iPhone and OSX, the iPhoto sync and iTunes (which I am using frequently). Since I am still on an iPhone contract from T-Mobile I can chose to keep the OnePlus One or get the iPhone 6 when it comes out. I want to make the Android experience as good as possible and, as an iPhone veteran, less subjectively.
I agree about the BB Passport. Would be awesome to have BB back in the game. They have obviously showed in the past to be pretty resourceful and at one time world leading in the sector.
I've been using the Nokia Lumia 1020 for a while now, and after the 8.1 update it's perfect for my usage
Love the set up. I too use an ipad mini retina (16gb wifi) as my only tablet (although it's criminally under utilised), which is complemented with a 2014 macbook air as my only pc. Lastly, I have a Sony Xperia Z2 as my daily driver.

Interesting that you have two different note-taking services: Keep (Android and Mac) and Simplenote (iPad and Mac). How do you separate your notes between the two, or have you found a way to synchronize notes across these two services?

To be Honest, KBHD, I thought I would use a lot of my tech for school but it's been sitting dead for so long. College life+ Notebook basically makes any need for anything electronical minimal.
You haven't said anything on or about the blackberry passport! a lot of people value your opinion,would be interesting to see how it matches up against the Note or Sony s phablet

thanks, great review about your selection of apps. although you didnt mention some crucial areas and only scratched the surface:
1. You didnt mention how you stream your music to your speakers from your phone and tablet? I like the one with Xposed and Bubbleupnp on a rooted phone, streaming to XBMC/Rygel/shairport server or the alike. whats your favorite method? spotimote is sufficient some of the way but ain't generic like airplay.
2. your best navigation app for gpx tracks with voice navigation. I like that one with Osmand for outdoor sports. also your favorite offline navigation app for driving? lots of money spent here!
3. recognition apps like vivino, google glass and shazam?
well there are many more points but I was surprised you didnt go into a little more detail and only mentioned standard apps.

I wouls suggest slice for package tracking takes the info from emails and tracks them without any manual work.
The only thing I find surprisingly missing here is are the office apps (word,excel etc.). Call me old fashioned but I find word still the best to make documents. Also the spelling and grammar checker is the best. Maybe not such a big problem when English is your native language but as a Dutchman word still does it for me.
If anyone is revising for exams and needs a good revision app I highly recommend study blue, you can sync all of your devices and flash card files so you can make and revise them where ever, I use them on android and apple.
Thanks for sharing, love your setup big fan of your monitors but it be worth something if you'd split one of your monitor by four with a Quad Screen Splitter of some sort.
Marques dont you miss your Bookmarks when you use Safari on the iPad instead of Chrome? This is like the most crucial point for me for switching to WP oder iOS. I have a lot of Bookmarks on my Desktop Chrome Version and like to use it on my Tablet and Nexus 4 as well.
Marques, when you don't have what to present, try a look at Samsung Gear S (curved display), based on Tizen OS, which is a much secure and responsive OS than Android. You would love to have Tizen OS on your phone but don't just believe me, do some research (a pro one).

What do you use to post your Instagram photos instead then? The ios app on your ipad mini? Does it make that much difference?
I've always heard the ios Instagram app does a better job, do you have a quick way of sharing photos from your Android device to the ipad? I might start doing the same between my nexus 5 and ipad mini.

I'm actually really surprised by the lack of use of Android features. Just one widget, no Tasker, and mostly cross platform apps. Seems like you could use the larger iPhone and be satisfied. It's been awhile, I would be interested to hear why you use Android phones over the iPhone.

you should use evernote as your note app. You can sync it between all of your devices.
