I was 323lbs when I got back into skating. Am 265lbs still. At 47 years old I still skate at a pretty high level. So I don’t think weight is that big of an obstacle. Carbon fiber decks are an absolute must for me. Regular wooden decks cannot survive flip tricks or high ollies under me. Powell Flight decks and Santa Cruz VX decks are both truly unbreakable. Well worth the money for any plus size skaters. Keep at it.
I have switched to 8 ply impacts. Because they have a more natural feel. They are significantly stronger, but I do break them on occasion. Where the Flight and VX have never broken

I can't go more than 1-2hrs cause of my spinal injury but I truly want to keep trying after seeing this, my weight makes me feel down and like I can't do nothing but seeing you shred like that makes me feel better

Have you got any experience with longboarding? I'm a bigger person and ik I'll probably be fine, especially since the nature of how you use a longboard is way less stressful on the deck, but I'd still like to know bc there aren't a lot of big people on boards in general online
350+lb skater here and VENTURES bro…. I’m riding an 8.38 with Venture 5.6 hi’s. Also have another 8.38 setup with Indy 149’s and I can say without a doubt my ventures never fail me. I’ve had my ventures for 2 years and have barely blown out a bushing on my tail. Where my fuckin Indy’s are 3 weeks out the box and I’ve already blown out the stock orange, the black, and the yellow bushings. Indy just makes garbage bushings for big boys.
I'm also a skater on the bigger side of things (350ish) however I skate a smaller size board(8.25) . I want to learn to board slide but as a bigger man we know its a complete uphill battle. how do you go about doing it? I would appreciate your insight on it. love what your doing and continue to kill it man
You’re definitely NOT 440 lbs brother, a guy at my church was 425 and he was twice the size of you, including being 6 feet tall. You’re a good skater though, I love all your videos. God Bless.
