And Human II Nature is probably even harder to sing but Tuomas felt comfortable with Floor's ability to sing and convey the lyrics. Such a pity that they and Floor are not appreciated by the many of the early fans.
People typically have a difficult time adjusting to Changes in Band Member changes , especially if it's an Emotional "break-up" of sorts. Fans choose sides. For me, I liked Nightwish when they first began And I became a Hardcore Fan when Floor joined. Floor's Voice & Style is so capable--I'm hooked.
Yes. Floor is an absolute beast. I loved this performance. Great reaction. And Tuomas is a master of making use of her talent.
"Endless Forms Most Beautiful" (title track of the eighth studio album of Nightwish 2015) is based on a lyrical concept or a theme.
It's all about the beauty of life, the beauty of existence, nature, science… A comparison would be that if the previous album, (2011's) "Imaginaerum", was a tribute to the power of imagination, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" would be an equal tribute to science and the power of reason.

"Floor is built for this kind of work", sure, but also Tuomas builds it knowing what Floor can do, and they both like it when he pushes her beyond her comfort zone! This is kind of a mid-tier song for this album IMO; it's saved from being lower by the chorus and the breaks. Runner-up _Alpenglow_ is one of my absolute favourite short NW songs, but I have a feeling that won't be the same for you...

Floor and Tuomas are a great team.
She has said she loves being challenged; Tuomas gives her the melody & lyrics, and she takes them home and plays with it, then they brainstorm tough spots. It's genius collaborations with all the band members for all parts that make their music so great.
Songs are crafted, not banged out in haste to fill up a quota & industry recipe.
with this song being the title track this album is chock full of bangers such cool variety
Endless Forms, Most Beautiful is mentioned in the final paragraph of the book Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. Richard Dawkins quotes that paragraph at the end of The Greatest Show on Earth from the same album.
