I liked it , Sounds great Live.👍The live version of In and Out of Love is 👌👌
Also worthwhile to check out Sharon's performance on the Belgium show "Liefde Voor Muziek" ,similar to " Beste Zangers "
That would be nice to have both of them (Nightwish and Within Temptation). Maybe include Epica too :-)
Two great songs. In And Out Of Love is an all time classic. There's a stunning live performance of it on YT.
Edge of the World (live from Hydra) is worth watching!
I confirm, both Nightwish and Within Temptation are worth watching live. I had the chance of seeing NW 3 times in 2022, breathtaking all the way. For WT, I saw them this year in Hellfest, Sharon sings so well Live (but I still prefer NW as the quality of songs is top notch all the way, while WT have excellent but also more boring songs)
I would love to see more Within Temptation reactions. And Sharon’s solo album My Indigo is really good as well, especially the song also namned My Indigo.
Can't do her solo album because I heard it already, but will definitely do more WT. They just released a new song so probably won't be able to resist starting with that first ✊🤘
To anyone who likes Sypmphonic Metal and Sharon's voice, I would like to recommend the debut album "Mana" (2004) by the Dutch band Nemesea. The voice of vocalist Manda Ophuis sounds quite similar to Sharon's and she can sing about as high as her. What I like about "Mana" is that the overall atmosphere/mood of the songs is darker (most likely also due to the subject of the lyrics of this concept album) and several guitar parts sound somewhat grittier/more aggressive than on other albums of this genre. The songs offer a lot of variety and don't stick to the usual formula as regards their structure (e.g. the middle-part of the album titled "Mortalitas" consists of four parts). I also appreciate that several songs feature a small choir of 6 vocalists and that they included some real strings. For me, the entire album is flawless, and after recently rediscovering it, the more I listen to it, the more I feel inclined to say that I like it as much as my favourite Symphonic Metal album, Nightwish's "Oceanborn". One song showcasing several aspects of what I described and one of my faves is "Empress": ruclips.net/video/VHZIWgCDBGg/видео.html (@WolfKain: I know I recommended them before in my reply to your comment to your Delain-reaction, but this might be an even better opportunity)
On the subject of electronic music, it's usually not exactly my cup of tea, but there are two exceptions, namely Qntal and Helium Vola. Two German bands, both of which combine (sometimes harsh) electronic music with classically trained female vocals, in the case of Helium Vola, you may add some additional classically trained male vocals. For those who might care, I recommend to check out Qntal's "Frühling" (in spite of the German title, the lyrics are in Latin) from their second album "II": ruclips.net/video/x1tTzO3ZWuI/видео.html and Helium Vola's "Omnis mundi creatura" (one of my favourite songs from their eponymous debut): ruclips.net/video/rOOOMBvkpFE/видео.html
Heb het er pas naar geluisterd. Het beviell wel. Dank je wel voor je goede tips
Armin van Buuren is one of the most famous electronic music dj's from the Netherlands. I did not see a solo album from Sharon den Adel but I noticed some single like My Indigo. In 1998 Sharon worked with Ayreon on studio album Into the Electronic Castle, and in 2002 and 2016 she contributed to Avantasia/Tobias Sammett projects.
Yes, My Indigo was what I was trying to remember! Thanks for that. It was her solo project and she made a full album www.youtube.com/@myindigo6783/videos ✊🤘
“In and Out” was huuuuuge in Europe, I remember it being played on every radio station. Her voice really suits it.
And WT are amazing live! Saw them for the first time last year and I regret not seeing them earlier. So worth it, they’re an amazing band live
Oh, have you checkered out Sharon and Tarja’s duet song “Paradise”? Recommend watching their live version, they have so much fun
YES TO YOUR DEEP DIVE for WT rabbit hole...
For HYDRA album... for vocal greatness, besides PARADISE, I recommend TELL ME WHY, and SILVER MOONLIGHT, and STAIRWAY TO THE SKIES... but also do DANGEROUS for something different. And AND WE RUN.
Yes please! You have to get through what they released lately ❤. Don't Pray For Me and Bleed Out especially
The website on the top screen is too distracting 🙈
Lol I'll make sure it's a static image next time when doing the actual reaction 🤗
I don't like anything they did after The Unforgiving except for one song 🤷♀ You can check out some and see if you're interested.
I like electronic music when it's weird 😛 like Venetian Snares and Autechre
Did you at least like my dance moves? ...wait, don't answer that! 🤣🤣🤣
Yesss, please do more W.T❤🤘🏼
Thank you so much for reviewing this and apologies for the late response! If you have a chance to catch up on WT and review them I would love that! BTW I love trance and armin and love your song you showed. ;)
🤗✊🤘
I've loved Armin for so long, as soon as I found this I listened to it so much. It's so soothing and a bop.
Also I'd very much like the electronica mix :D
EDM at its best with Armin Van Buuren. This song always will be one of favorites. I lived on Trance and EDM.
From this incredible concert i would go for the first two songs Iron and In the middle of the night. For In and out of love you should really watch the live version from 2017 with better sound quality, which is a tribute to Queen Sharon by Armin ruclips.net/video/qIk0CjxMn9s/видео.html
BTW: you've just missed their US-tour last year also with Iron Maiden
This woman can do no wrong. Her solo album was great.
Hell yeah!!!! Random sounds pretty good but so does one for one. Now I’m sitting on the fence but the fall would be good in either direction, with a slight leaning toward random. ❤️🤘🎸🎻🦘
