My brother with all due respect, it’s important for instrumentalists to learn lyrics and understand what they are accompanying. Maybe outside kingdom music it doesn’t matter but Gospel it does. Hope you take this well. God bless you
I agree 100%. Unfortunately, we don’t always have the luxury of learning the lyrics to every song that is sung in church. Many times songs are spontaneous and there is literally no time to practice the song, this is why most gospel musicians must know how to play by ear and must understand patterns. I’ve played many songs on the spot that I’ve never heard in my life. Did I like it? No. Did I get the job done? Yes. Was it my choice? No. Learning the lyrics is important, I teach that, but concepts are important too. I hope that helps.
I cant seem to find the Type A video. can you share the link? Thanks for all you've imparted so far and thanks in advance for the link to type A pattern.
Hey Kurt, it was a little mix up. Here’s the link below. Thanks for watching! Unlock Timeless Congregational Songs: Part 3 - Master Traditional Congregational Music on Piano ruclips.net/video/xURdftEFjUI/видео.html
Good question. It’s just a representation of the patterns that are normally used. It’s almost like a protocol or like calling a particular play in sports. It’s just a set pattern.
Ty! My Brother, it really doesn't matter if you sing or know the words!
Big blessing man, much needed and appreciated🙏🏾💪🏾
You’re welcome!

@@Treycross3_ yes both are important but you can’t over rule the other as if it’s less important. It’s very crucial
Both are definitely important. It’s just a matter of helping musicians be prepared for spontaneous situations.
This is where I belong, part 2 continuing to part 20 are welcome
Thanks for watching!

What do you mean when you use terms like "type B" and "type A"? Haven't heard this terminology before and wanna make sure I understand it

Where to find type A
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted these videos. I apologize for the mix up.
