A few years ago, I watched the video for Swan Song. Never in my life had I been so impacted by music. Since then, I’ve attended their concerts in Japan twice. They are truly incredible. Fans often say, 'They’re a once-in-a-lifetime talent,' and I couldn’t agree more. I really hope you get the chance to see their concert and experience their otherworldly musical performance for yourself.
Saw them twice in London this year. Can't wait till they come to Europe again. Not that much of a traveller but will be going to Tokyo in March, know it will be amazing
They are all extraordinary musicians. IMO they are the best band to come along in decades. They play flawlessly while making it look effortless. Miyako (Dark haired guitarist/pianist) is a rare music talent that we are fortunate to see in this lifetime. Keep the Japanese metal/rock deep dive going. So much talent there, especially the all-female bands.
Lovebites = Masters of Technical Metal. They are a breathe of fresh air in an otherwise cookie cutter genre. This band has enough musicianship for 5 bands yet its all in one Beautifully Divine Group of Japanese Women.

Take for instance Yuja Wang: she's a TOP musician on the classical grand piano, earning her sufficient living by playing top notch piano concerts in the music halls all over the world. But always centered at this kind of Instrument. Miyako Watanabe would be able to reach 25% of Yuja Wang, but 200% of their common ability, because of the guitar as second instrument.
Welcome to Lovebites and the Wolfpack! You fell as hard for them on first listen as I did (and all of us, to be quite honest)! They're in my opinion the greatest metal band in the world right now, and my favorite band of all time. You're right about Asami. I met her and talked to her in person 3 times. She's incredibly magnetic, charming, heartfelt and engaging in person and on stage. The band is super talented. It's great that you ended up with two greatly different songs to react to as a first reaction, the first being thrash and the second more power metal, but also showcasing Miyako's brilliance on piano. Just wait until you go further down this rabbit hole. I love them so much. They're amazing. Truly. By the way, the organ you heard was a backing track, and played by Miyako, who was playing guitar in this one. As with Swan Song, she will sometimes play both within a song, but sometimes you'll hear a track too. I subscribed so I don't miss any reactions. They don't have a bad song. You'll enjoy checking out more of them. Holy War is a good choice - its their most famous song.

Some fun facts: Asami, the singer, has no background in rock/metal. She studied jazz & ballet, plays also piano and used to perform many years as a background singer for various J-pop artists. There are some videos with her, performing Alicia Keys & various other R'n'B/ Soul songs. She also performs every year a X-Mas concert, whith trad. & more modern pop X-Mas songs. You would never guessed that, watching her go full-on metal queen on stage. Miyako, the dark haired guitarist, is what you call a musical prodigy. She's a classically trained concert pianist, who performs piano recitals often, multi instrumentalist & main composer of the band. You can check out her RUclips channel, where she has some videos, showing how she writes songs & produces the demos. Midori, the blonde guitar player, is also a trained pianist. She studied music at the Tokyo Musician's Institute and the guitar players of Babymetal Kami band where among her teachers. Midori is also a big fitness buff, she competes in bodybuilding competitions and has a dedicated Instagram account for fitness/ working out. Asami & Miyako are also married and moms, according to an interview, their husbands are super supportive and proud of their "metal wives" .

One of my favorite things that Asami does is grab the upper lace layers of her dress and flip them in the air at just the perfect moment, like the intro and especially when she does it and is then overlaid on top of the band. She is so elegant. She is formally trained in ballet which explains her beautiful swan like arm movements.

I will leave it to others to suggest some more LOVEBITES songs as you already did one I suggested (thanks!) There are a LOT of LOVEBITES live performances out there and they are essentially all pretty amazing. What I will do though is suggest another Japanese all women band that I expect has already come up in comments. Looking over your channel history I feel like there is a good chance you will find them interesting, and possibly like them as well. It might be worth doing 2 of their songs like you did here, seems a good format and gives a bit of a better rounded idea of a group for the first contact reaction video. IIRC, Miyako started learning piano at the age of 4, then added guitar when she was a teenager. Such amazing talent and grace. In recent years, they got a new bass player, Fami. Very young, but very talented.
Miyako not only plays guitar and piano, but also composes music. She also plays bass and drums in songwriting. She also sings. If you want to hear her voice, go to Empty Daydream Live In Tokyo 2019; there are two kinds, but the one with AsamiMC has the vocalist greeting the audience at the beginning.
Asami also plays piano on a couple of their songs plus she learnt ballet for many years which accounts for her wonderful flowing movements on stage. 👏👏
In fact the real second piano player is Midori. But she is not interested in playing other instrument than guitar ( actually). She almost have the same musical background than Miyako. She started piano at 3 and moved to guitar at 18 or 20.

Not wanting to distract you away from Japanese rock/metal too much but you might also want to consider some Symphonic metal from bands like Epica, Nightwish and Within temptation. Astonishingly good bands all with world class female vocalists and huge fan bases that will flood into your channel (trust me, I’m sure you will love it and the fans will love you)

You open mouth said it all. Yeah, the Queens of Metal who wear their femininity proudly and perform in gowns and heels turn into Goddesses once they hit the stage. Petite (Asami is 4' 10", Haruna/Drums is 4' 9") they dominate their instruments while Asami is a Napoleon stage general who commands the venue, the crowd and the band. Off stage they are classy, sweet and dedicated to each other and their fans (Wolfpack). There are many great female and mixed bands in Japan (It is where Rock, Metal and Jazz have all gone to flourish) and you just experienced the vanguard of that immense talent pool. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames) Asami on vocals (the one and only voice): She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch): She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd Midori on guitars (crazy shredder): Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete Haruna on drums (little big engine): Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers): Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger): We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

I learned about LOVEBITES in 2023. Thanks to a Metal reaction channel here. During the first of their songs that I watched, my face melted, and I stared at the screen (jaw dropped) in disbelief. 😂 Metal as it was always meant to be! The Metal of my dreams. My heart burned. After their third song, I was sold. 😂 I bought all of their albums (MP3s) and meanwhile know all details of all of them. 😂 I never knew that I like Speed Metal until LOVEBITES performed it. I never knew that I love Classical piano music until Miyako performed it. I never knew how well Classical music and Metal can get along with each other until LOVEBITES (Miyako!) paired them. I still listen to other Metal bands, too, but LOVEBITES (i.m.h.o.) are music history in the making. They are phenomenal, they are unique, their existence is absolutely _improbable_ , and they already took their place in music history.

There is so much fantastic music and so many great bands out there to be discovered. So many great artists.. A number of them come from Japan, but, in my opinion.. You have just been introduced to the best band ever to exist. Seriously. In Swansong, former ballerina Asami always performs the dying swan from Swan Lake just as the music switches entirely to Miyako’s piano outro. But hardly anyone notices because they are transfixed on Miyako. A nicer, more fan friendly band you will search in vain to find.

As you can see from her movements Asami the singer also is a trained ballerina. And she writes most of the lyrics for Lovebites (Miyako composes most of their music).

A few years ago, I watched the video for Swan Song. Never in my life had I been so impacted by music. Since then, I’ve attended their concerts in Japan twice. They are truly incredible. Fans often say, 'They’re a once-in-a-lifetime talent,' and I couldn’t agree more. I really hope you get the chance to see their concert and experience their otherworldly musical performance for yourself.
Saw them twice in London this year. Can't wait till they come to Europe again. Not that much of a traveller but will be going to Tokyo in March, know it will be amazing

They are all extraordinary musicians. IMO they are the best band to come along in decades. They play flawlessly while making it look effortless. Miyako (Dark haired guitarist/pianist) is a rare music talent that we are fortunate to see in this lifetime. Keep the Japanese metal/rock deep dive going. So much talent there, especially the all-female bands.
Lovebites = Masters of Technical Metal. They are a breathe of fresh air in an otherwise cookie cutter genre. This band has enough musicianship for 5 bands yet its all in one Beautifully Divine Group of Japanese Women.

Welcome to Lovebites and the Wolfpack! You fell as hard for them on first listen as I did (and all of us, to be quite honest)! They're in my opinion the greatest metal band in the world right now, and my favorite band of all time. You're right about Asami. I met her and talked to her in person 3 times. She's incredibly magnetic, charming, heartfelt and engaging in person and on stage. The band is super talented. It's great that you ended up with two greatly different songs to react to as a first reaction, the first being thrash and the second more power metal, but also showcasing Miyako's brilliance on piano. Just wait until you go further down this rabbit hole. I love them so much. They're amazing. Truly. By the way, the organ you heard was a backing track, and played by Miyako, who was playing guitar in this one. As with Swan Song, she will sometimes play both within a song, but sometimes you'll hear a track too. I subscribed so I don't miss any reactions. They don't have a bad song. Some fun facts: Asami, the singer, has no background in rock/metal.
She studied jazz & ballet, plays also piano and used to perform many years as a background singer for various J-pop artists. There are some videos with her, performing Alicia Keys & various other R'n'B/ Soul songs. She also performs every year a X-Mas concert, whith trad. & more modern pop X-Mas songs. You would never guessed that, watching her go full-on metal queen on stage.
Miyako, the dark haired guitarist, is what you call a musical prodigy. She's a classically trained concert pianist, who performs piano recitals often, multi instrumentalist & main composer of the band. You can check out her RUclips channel, where she has some videos, showing how she writes songs & produces the demos.
Midori, the blonde guitar player, is also a trained pianist. She studied music at the Tokyo Musician's Institute and the guitar players of Babymetal Kami band where among her teachers. Midori is also a big fitness buff, she competes in bodybuilding competitions and has a dedicated Instagram account for fitness/ working out.
Asami & Miyako are also married and moms, according to an interview, their husbands are super supportive and proud of their "metal wives" .

BTW - Miyako ( the pianist ) is a concert level trained classical pianist who taught HERSELF to play guitar at the age of 19 ! She also is responsible for composing and arranging the vast majority of their music - and if that isn't enough she has released an EP of piano pieces which she has adapted for piano from the original Metal songs ( eg " Eagle Fly Free " by Helloween ) . She also plays a slew of other instruments and occasionally sings ( and on " Burden of Time " even plays guitar and keys at the same time ) #Genius 🤷♂

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.

On 11 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.

On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.

One of my favorite things that Asami does is grab the upper lace layers of her dress and flip them in the air at just the perfect moment, like the intro and especially when she does it and is then overlaid on top of the band. She is so elegant. She is formally trained in ballet which explains her beautiful swan like arm movements.
Glad they hit for you, and also cool that you did 2 quite different styles of song from them in your first contact reaction.
I will leave it to others to suggest some more LOVEBITES songs as you already did one I suggested (thanks!) There are a LOT of LOVEBITES live performances out there and they are essentially all pretty amazing.
What I will do though is suggest another Japanese all women band that I expect has already come up in comments. Looking over your channel history I feel like there is a good chance you will find them interesting, and possibly like them as well.
It might be worth doing 2 of their songs like you did here, seems a good format and gives a bit of a better rounded idea of a group for the first contact reaction video. So I will suggest the standard 1st time Hanabie reaction song, and maybe someone else wants to jump in and suggest a 2nd, or you could pick the 2nd at random yourself (just don't pick the "Metamorphose!" mv as it's a great song but the band is not in the video so it's not that good for an intro)

IIRC, Miyako started learning piano at the age of 4, then added guitar when she was a teenager. Such amazing talent and grace.

You open mouth said it all. Yeah, the Queens of Metal who wear their femininity proudly and perform in gowns and heels turn into Goddesses once they hit the stage. Petite (Asami is 4' 10", Haruna/Drums is 4' 9") they dominate their instruments while Asami is a Napoleon stage general who commands the venue, the crowd and the band. Off stage they are classy, sweet and dedicated to each other and their fans (Wolfpack). There are many great female and mixed bands in Japan (It is where Rock, Metal and Jazz have all gone to flourish) and you just experienced the vanguard of that immense talent pool. Here some information about my favorite band:
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd

Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3
really like how you listen song and never stop it in between, then give points after the song ends.
Organ is probably pre-recorded and put on top of a click-track, which has become very common nowadays. It makes it much easier for the band to follow the rythm/beat.
Miyako has a rig on the stage floor with plenty of pedals and stuff.
Keyboards, organs and orchestral is all played by Miyako on the backing track! Miyako used a Hammond B3 organ!

I learned about LOVEBITES in 2023. Thanks to a Metal reaction channel here. During the first of their songs that I watched, my face melted, and I stared at the screen (jaw dropped) in disbelief. 😂 Metal as it was always meant to be! The Metal of my dreams. My heart burned. After their third song, I was sold. 😂 I bought all of their albums (MP3s) and meanwhile know all details of all of them. 😂 I never knew that I like Speed Metal until LOVEBITES performed it. I never knew that I love Classical piano music until Miyako performed it. I never knew how well Classical music and Metal can get along with each other until LOVEBITES (Miyako!) paired them. I still listen to other Metal bands, too, but LOVEBITES (i.m.h.o.) are music history in the making. They are phenomenal, they are unique, their existence is absolutely _improbable_ , and they already took their place in music history.
The vertical lyric "Die by my side" is the title of a song of a famous British Punk Band (2014): The explosion! Thank you to begin this Lovebites's journey with this two songs!

You have just been introduced to the best band ever to exist. Seriously. In Swansong, former ballerina Asami always performs the dying swan from Swan Lake just as the music switches entirely to Miyako’s piano outro. But hardly anyone notices because they are transfixed on Miyako. A nicer, more fan friendly band you will search in vain to find.
Yeah - you need to watch them perform Frozen serenade.

They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.

Good reaction. It's difficult to choose a song, their repertoire is rich but if you like the classic rock mix i recommend it ( Frozen Serenade or Lost in the Garden ) . There is so much in this group.

As you can see from her movements Asami the singer also is a trained ballerina. And she writes most of the lyrics for Lovebites (Miyako composes most of their music).
Discovering first Babymetal, then Band-Maid and then Lovebites over the past 8 years is the reason why I have barely glanced West for my music for the 21st century. And if those three aren't keeping me musically content, then there's also the likes of Nemophila, Hanabie, Otoboke Beaver, Wagakki Band and many other high quality bands to enjoy.

LOVEBITES and BAND-MAID are friends, the ladies from LOVEBITES went to see BAND-MAID's performance from their 10th anniversary at Yokohama Arena. Akane (B-M drummer) and Haruna (LB drummer) have hung out together to eat ramen.
J'adore tes réactions! Miyako est non seulement une extraordinaire guitariste (autodidacte depuis l'âge de 18 ans) mais également une pianiste classique superbe entrainée depuis ses 4 ans et la compositrice de nombreuse chansons du groupe.
Asami, la chanteuse est phénoménale, formée au ballet et une ancienne chanteuse de R&B

Dont get me wrong Baby metal is good but the only thing they have in common with Lovebites (and the Maids) is there from Japan, Baby metal is an Idol group that sing and dance in front of a metal band, Lovebites (and the Maids) are true bands that write and play their own music, nice 2fer we love Lovebites (and the Maids) of course
Miyako and Midori are both melt your face talented guitarists, Haruna on drums is a beast, Miho {ex-member} on bass is very technical and Asami is a classically trained powerhouse, these ladies are amazing, you should also check Gacharic Spin and Doll$Boxx.
