Based on Asami's background, you would have never guessed she would become the lead singer of a Heavy Metal band. She started very early with Ballet, She liked stuff like Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin. She went to a university in the USA to study Jazz & Hip Hop dance, She sang the USA National anthem at a baseball game which made her realize she wanted to be a signer, returned to Japan and was a back-up singer for artists such as VAMPS and UVERworld. The first 4 members of Lovebites picked her based on a demo tape she made to tryout for the band. She never sang Metal before and her voice is just her singing to match the style that fits the music, Making her a truly authentic and unique singer while not trying to be someone else. Her classical style and incredible versatility, allows Lovebites to recreate and appreciate some of the very incredible Metal styles from the late 70s through the early 90s. Classic Heavy Metal to Speed, Thrash, Power Metal Genres.

asami spent 2 years in the states after high school studying dance and learning english well. that's how she can write most of their lyrics in their songs. all in english. and she gets to show her ballerina moves here.
The song was composed by vocalist Asami with the support of LOVEBITES' only outside collaborator Mao (Mao Yamamoto) and arranged by all members. Composed by Asami, a former R&B/jazz singer, with a sensibility not bound by metal, it has a novel melody line and seems to have the potential to become a masterpiece. The other song, “Epilogue,” is another great metal ballad she wrote.

Great reaction. That's exactly what i felt when i saw the video .I was in Tokyo last September for their concert and they played it again, it was magnificent.

When you see them in concert, they 've perform as if it's the last show ever they've played. You have for your money to buy a Lovebites ticket concert, i was in Paris 2024. I just want to go again in LOVEBITES concert. The only thing was they didn't tour with keys. So no songs like frozen serenade, but insane concert.
Yup, Im 73 and have listened to the best for many years. These ladies are up there with the best. Everyone in the band is an absolute Maestro. Haruna the Energiser Bunny on Drums, Miho and now Fami( who took over )on Bass after Miho left, Midori the amazing Warrior Queen and Miyako the Elegant Ice Queen. All backing up my favourite Fairy Ballerina vocalist who incidentally wrote the lyrics to this and in my mind one of the best Front woman I have seen. Love these amazing women. ❤❤❤❤❤

Yeah, the ''twin guitar'' harmonies really sets Lovebites apart, specially considering that they have not just 1 but 2 world class guitarists in the band with Midori & Miyako and that they pull this off live, flawlessly. In the studio it's a piece of cake, you just record the 2 guitars separately and then "layer'' them in the mix. Performing this live, that's a whole other thing. According to an interview, it took them a lot of practise until they got it right. Even more impressive is that both started playing guitar relatively late when they were 18-19, in contrast to most pro guitarists who start out in their early teens.
The audience wasn't allowed to give 12 times the amount of applause, only some decent clapping was allowed. No shouting or screaming. It was also only 1/3 full due to covid restrictions (social distancing) in 2021! Still a stellar performance, probably my favorite song before "Soldier Stands Solitarily". BTW: Miyako was 4 to 5 months into pregnancy here...

Lovebites has a Great Command of creating interesting songs with seamless Virtuoso play from each member. Everything about this song is Epic. May not be their heaviest or most classic but its a Sultry Groove around a Wonderfully played Ballad. This is what a Real Supergroup looks and sounds like. Every member is Top,Top, Top Shelf in Every Regard.

Here is an insane example of the insane talent in this band. Asami was a ballet student for years and her graceful reactions prove it but she also writes most of the lyrics for the band's songs. While she is a Napoleon stage general controlling the venue, the crowd and the band nonetheless the 4' 10" petite goddess is total class and dedicated siren for the band.
Amazing though this performance is - earlier this year they did another awesome performance of it. I hope it will make it onto DVD in a few months time. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Honestly this is my favorite video of all of theirs. It has everything - beauty, grace, pianos guitar, the pounding rhythms .. and the imagery is stunning. Beautiful song, talented ladies.

The part where Midori solo starts at the 7.40 mark always gives me instant goosebumbs. Awesome song certainly one of their best. If you like the slower songs check out edge of the world.

These bands more than deserve to receive worldwide recognition. Some of these bands have already been to international events, but they are still missing their big breakthrough. Especially in Europe, there is still a lot of ignorance among metal fans. To be recognized, the musicians must be tattooed from head to toe and wear leather clothing, otherwise they will not be taken seriously. The audience wasn't allowed to give 12 times the amount of applause, only some decent clapping was allowed. No shouting or screaming. It was also only 1/3 full due to covid restrictions (social distancing) in 2021! Still a stellar performance, probably my favorite song before "Soldier Stands Solitarily". BTW: Miyako was 4 to 5 months into pregnancy here...

Lovebites has a Great Command of creating interesting songs with seamless Virtuoso play from each member. Everything about this song is Epic. May not be their heaviest or most classic but its a Sultry Groove around a Wonderfully played Ballad. This is what a Real Supergroup looks and sounds like. Every member is Top,Top, Top Shelf in Every Regard.

It is one of the 3 great "E" songs (Empty Daydream and Edge of the World)!!!!!!! Here is an insane example of the insane talent in this band. Asami was a ballet student for years and her graceful reactions prove it but she also writes most of the lyrics for the band's songs. While she is a Napoleon stage general controlling the venue, the crowd and the band nonetheless the 4' 10" petite goddess is total class and dedicated siren for the band.
I felt she might have been a ballerina!
Amazing though this performance is - earlier this year they did another awesome performance of it. I hope it will make it onto DVD in a few months time. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

You can see why this is so requested Abigirl. A masterpiece song. You picked up on Asami's graceful dance moves. She performed classical ballet for about 16 year from a very young age.
