  • GE's GTD45EASJWS sports a decidedly basic look and few features, but it dries clothes like a champ

You forgot to mention that without the fancy frills of those more expensive dryers, you'll be calling the repair man less to replace the control board and display.

Bought one of these a few months ago. Great performer as stated and an easy analog learning curve. That means no learning curve!!

GE and Whirlpool make the best basic washers and dryers in the world and they never break and do a fine job. I have a Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) pair that I bought in 1992 and they look and run like new. They were also made in America.

He seemed rather disappointed that he couldn't connect this dryer to his phone.

Why do you keep smashing the control knob like that? What are you trying to prove?

$650 and you think that is cheap? WTF you guys at CNET must be getting paid a decent wage, that sounds like an expensive dryer to me. I'm in the UK and a decent Hotpoint, Bosch AEG, Beko etc.. dryer will cost around £200-£300.

Ya, every big box store has dryers in the $300 range, GE included. CNET has lost touch with reality.... 😄

Has anyone had to take the front off? Not the door, but the front? I’ve had mine only a year and noticed lint build up where it’s nearly impossible to reach. I can’t find a video of disassembling this model. Any help would be much appreciated.

this guy is a clown, the way he was turning the knob proves that.

why does everything I dry in this dryer come out wrinkled? I mean everything! I've tried all different settings and still wrinkle city. Does anyone know why? I appreciate any help...thanks

I here trying to get my dryer hotter. The new efficiency regulations means dryers don't get as hot, which mean no shirts shrunk back to their orig. size. All mine come out still stretched out. I'm going to look into getting a new (older) thermostat, 15 degress hotter I think, so it dries faster, more completely and will likely stop the wrinkles for you.
