Feb 1996 এ আমি ক্লাস 7 . একটা অদ্ভুত খারাপ লাগা চেপে ধরে এই সময়ের কলকাতার ভিডিও দেখলে। মনে হয় তখনও জীবনটাকে টেনে তোলার অসংখ্য সুযোগ ছিল। সুদিনের আলোতে আর কটা দিন গা সেকে নেওয়ার সময় ছিল। আজ সব কালো।

@@ABO-Destiny তখন পৃথিবীটা অনেক অনেক অন্যরকম ছিল। হয়ত চোখে রঙিন চশমা থাকত সারাক্ষণ তাই পৃথিবীটাকে এত ভালো লাগত। ১৩-১৪ বছর তখন বয়স আমার, ফলে as part of adoloscence বোঝার এবং জানার কোন শেষ ছিল না। কিন্তু আমার অনেক সমসাময়িকরা তখন থেকেই চোখ থেকে রঙিন চশমা ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিয়ে জীবনটাকে গোছানোর কাজে লেগে পড়েছিল। সেটা আজ বুঝতে পারি সেদিন বুঝিনি। সেদিন তাদের বোকা মনে হয়েছিল আর নিজেকে চালাক। যাদের জন্য সেদিন চালাক সেজে ঘুরে বেড়াতাম আজ তাদের মুখগুলো ও স্পষ্ট করে মনে পড়ে না। শুধু স্মৃতির খাঁচায় তারা বন্দী। এই ধরনের video দেখলে সেই খাঁচা থেকে স্মৃতি গুলো মনের মধ্যে এসে সব গোলমাল পাকিয়ে দেয়। তখন বুঝতে পারিনা আজকের দিনটা সত্যি না সেইদিনগুলো সত্যি ছিল।

Old calcutta looks pretty much the same even in 2023
It has changed a lot promoters are now breaking old houses to build new flats and old yellow taxis are slowly decreasing now
I remember back when I was in 4th and 5th standard we frequently used trams as our mode of communication, even I used them while goin to school which ws just just in front of a tram route, it was in 2010s but after 2015s trams significantly declined, now there just handful of them , it's been 4 years since our school tram route was closed.
But it will always be in my memory!
I still remember that day when I ride first time in the tram 🚃 , during Durga Puja in the year 2008 🤩

90s commute through calcutta was horrible. With the metro railway being constructed, main thoroughways dug up for that the city roads were a mess.
Such an irony that we are watching these videos as a little escape from the overwhelming digital world of today only to use RUclips platform to watch it 😅

These trams are worn out and totally fatigued. Calcutta is so crowded and not so fancy maybe because this is the old city area
