Good boot liner (sorry trunk liner 😁) for your car is a cut off of some carpet. If it's rubber backed you can flip it over and the rubber will stop things getting wet too.
Amazon has a bunch of really good plastic/rubber all weather trunk liners and floor mats for pretty cheap. They’re similar to Weather-Tec but less expensive. They’re vehicle specific which is nice cause they fit perfectly. Love your content man. Keep up the good work.
Concrete is gonna crack you won’t ever stop concrete from cracking. That’s what control joints are for. They’re there to help give the concrete a place to crack. As for feathering out the bottom, it’ll also never not crack and chip off. If it’s a spot that you really wanna make perfect or keep going in the future with less maintenance, only way around it is to saw into the ground and pour a good 3-4 inches of mud with some reinforcement ofcourse.
Hey Zack, I love your videos!! Watching you ghost ride that concrete down your newest spot was hilarious 🤣 but would like to send you some money to get a wagon! I also have some tools that would be helpful I can send you if you would like. (Milwaukee hack saw, drill, work light batteries, charger. Let me know where I can send the stuff if you would like! Definitely want to encourage you to make more skate spots!
So happy to see you continuing and starting a new spot. I can see an instant issue from here haha, getting supplies down that hill is gonna be a real bitchh, maybe you could look into something to help get the materials down there like a small cart/wagon with some brakes. Either way I love your videos and it's great to see you back at it.
Hi ya Zack, really enjoy your chill channel you're a good man getting about and sorting out spots. Just a quick tip from well I did concreting is when your laying new wet concrete on older dry concrete just spray the dry with water and you'll get better adhesion to each other...all the best fella keep up the good work.
Killing it Zack, finding skate spots like these in the wild is an incredible feeling. Thanks for all the hard work you have been putting into adding to the never-ending arsenal of DIY skate obstacles 🤙👊🔥
Love the spot looks like it’s in the shade!!! Nice seeing you motivated always love your Skating ability and videos!!! Nice not having to waste all your energy getting the material to the spot!!!! Thanks for the video 🤙🏻 NJ’s out Skate On!!!!
when u are doing a huge concrete "radius" or connecting something, try to splash it with water when its too hot or something, to prevent it from cracking, just a little tip
I just stumbled across this spot driving home. Just move into that area. I had to take double look. The skater i am pulled a around parked and had a lil sesh. Saw you work its coming along good. Was hopinng you might show up to give a hand. Keep up the sweet diy,s.
Love the old school chisel method for removing mortar. Was gonna say if you had access to a grinder they have a special cupped grinding wheel that would make easy work of that mortar.
Dude, wish we had spots in the UK where I could do this. Just don’t have the space or drainage systems like this where I am. Love it mate. Keep it going my friend. It’s awesome and hopefully start seeing this stuff in some vids
Weather tech floor mats are legit. I routinely drive around in fishing boots and they keep all the mud, silt, and river water contained so I can dump it outside of my truck. They are a little on the pricey side though
I really dig your vids man they just bring some kind of calm and peace...also its an art what your doing. At about 31 minutes you mention using a razor blade to remove the tip on your adhesive tube, usually there is a cutter on the actual cock gun that'll do the job ;) keep it up dude!
Would it make sense to put tape down and mix on top of the tape instead of on top of that pool coping? You were saying that it doesn't stick as much to the tape, so I feel like that might be a better way to mix? (I've never done this work, just trying to help in any way haha.) Awesome video as always Zack! Love it.
Im not 100% sure about this, but I think if you use thinset (tile mortar) for the pool coping then you wouldnt need the bonding adhesive and it should hold better. Also, the bags are smaller, easier to carry, and you can mix it in a bucket with a trowel.
That’s kinda wack. Think you coulda done something better with that pool coping. Just my opinion which means nothing. Maybe when I see you sk8 it I’ll understand.
Yeah it is sorta wack The curved out coping there doesn’t really fit There is a spot out there that would have matched the radius but I’m stoked your having fun

This is Zack not giving up!
Gotta keep the fire lit!
@@ZackDowdy You're gonna end up building another Burnside one day soon 😁
Got me excited for a sec when you said “let me hit these 3 joints” 😂
Glad to see you out in the streets so soon! Watching this on my lunch break but I'm gonna have to finish it after work. Lol.
Nice! I wear a high visibility vest and hardhat when I reclaim fallen road signs.
I wear all black and a ski mask when I commit crimes.

I appreciate that brotha!! What's a good email Il'l send you a message.
Losing a mask thats on your head is a classic DIY move
I do that with sunglasses sometimes 😁
I say it every time, keeping San Diego classy one diy at a time . We need more of this positivity

A dolly would work or a wheelbarrow.
@@JT-un7dc I was thinking that but like the skateboard I reckon it'd be a pain to stop it from rolling down
So stoked to see you taking on a different project. This is what its all about.

Died laughing when you launched the crete down the hill 🤣🤣

Glad you enjoy!
Awesome to constantly contribute to the skate community both in the streets with these spots and on RUclips giving game for free.
Maybe the broken cinder block wasn't someone breaking builds but someone thinking materials are good at bombing hills...

Glad your still making diy content these are my favorite series on RUclips ever
Glad the diy king is still going, love your videos. Makes me wanna find a spot to diy myself. Thanks for sharing dude 🤘🏼
Super glad you starred a new spot, keeping the series alive 🤘🏼
Also, you probably already know this, but, using a spray bottle with water to keep your concrete moist and curing longer will keep it from cracking.
Fscinating DIY build, Zack Dowdy! Thanks for the vlog! Super Rad. sk8!tin' the ramps at the end. Have a good one, man🙂!
when u are doing a huge concrete "radius" or connecting something, try to splash it with water when its too hot or something, to prevent it from cracking, just a little tip
So much inspiration and motivation in your videos! Thanks for spreading the love for DIY skate parks!
You need a wagon! Save some time and trips hauling all the shit to these spots
Bruv you’re actually sick! Just out there making spots for the vibes I reckon you and nomad need a video fo sho 😎

I didn't know what to expect but its refreshing seeing another spot being worked on, Good to see things rolling on!

Another good one for the books!!
Please keep it up your content is so good to where I finish the whole video!😅

YESSSS LOVE YOU MAN THANKS FOR EVERYTHING AND THE LOVE ✌🏻✌🏻

Cool new spot going to be a great place for some fast down hill features
love these vids bro

I'm digging it bro! I love your backyard ramp too. Slayer!
I love your content keep up the awesome work

Thanks!
I’m bout to be all over SD this weekend, I’m gonna be looking in the ditches for DIy’s
There's plenty!
Hell yeah Zack!!! 🎉
Love the new spot man.🤟
Hahaha 😂 the mask!!
Concrete hill bomb clip is epic
next time you have a couple of curvies, stack em on one end so you can really launch off, maybe even lift the end a little lol for extra fling
also tie a string to the board/trucks so you can slowly lower supplies in

Apply mortar to the back of coping (back butter)
Covering it with plastic while it cures makes it stronger. It slows down the drying process.
Side walk spot are the best
i miss my hometown in oceanside CA because out here in wisconsin we have so many parks but little to 0 diy locations
Start it up!

Much love
i thought you were going to make easier obstacles.... ?!?! that looks dam hard ..... ether way great vid as always bro

I used that on my last spot worked so good. Just more pricey
What kind of car/year we may have a rear floor mat we could send ya! ❤ thanks for building spots to keep peeps rolling.
Thanks for watching! Kia '24 Sportster
@ kia sportage you mean?
Back 2 Building ! 🤘🤪🤘❗️
Needs a mesh backing for longevity.
That didn't take long. Sick
Looks like a slick spot hopefully the trash says out
"I'm gonna use my skateboard" 😂
That was some kinda $h!t i would do. Classic
this is a public good if anyone argues otherwise you can say it's keeping skaters away damaging other city property lol
Put the concrete adhesive in a spray bottle so you don’t waste so much
I like the DIY vids The Lizard spot is what I'm hoping to add Donations towards in the Future.
Need a wagon to pull supplies down and a rope to pull it back uphill
Put the bag in the mix tray and it would sled down
Feels like a cooking show of skateboarding. Fuck yeah. Lmao
Isn't the bonding addheasive meant to dry cured before adding the cement? 🤷🏻♂️
Typically you mix it into the concrete
Weather tech for car mats
Chip it with your hammer if there’s a gap next time. Chip the back of the coping so you can close the. Gap.
Good idea
@ I did pool tile and coping. We usually used a diamond blade saw or grinder to cut coping. But in a pinch a claw hammer will work.🤙🏽
Add the likes watchers 4k watched only 350 likes. Make youtube what it should be for the work he does 🎉
🔥
fuck yeah dowdy
Being Lefty I ride Goofy I always think how I would skate a spot when it's different to other people's approach
A dolly cart might work better Zack
I need one!
LMAO the mask task
98.934% sure that subaru would make it back up that hill. If not would probably make a good video 🤷
old school runescape music??
Is this in the middle of a neighborhood ?
First! with love!
You win!
Damn that looks like you could (in theory) drive down through the ditch, no? Must be a reason you are not
🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥☠️☠️
Next time sit on the concrete bags on the skateboard and ride down with your feet as brakes.
