These late night Busby Berkeley musicals got me through my teen years insomnia. It’s so fun and uplifting 😍
Few of the movies in this montage helped me through the COVID shutdown in 2020. Loved them ever since. Takes me back to the time my grandparents were kids.
The first time I saw a Busby Berkeley it was the late late show and I was riding a wave already and it put me into nirvana.
Amazing that he managed to do all this, and create things that make everyone who watches them so happy, while spending much of his studio time sweating out a hangover. He really was, but he still demanded as much time on set as needed till he got things exactly right.
I honestly HATE musicals, but I absolutely *LOVE* the Pre-Code Warner Brothers musicals that Busby Berkeley choreographed! *The man was a GENIUS!*
I used to really like animated musicals but most live action ones used to bore me to death until I started watching these old ones and now i'm just totally in love with it. Also rock musicals from the 70s are masterpieces too
It's a very early CGI but instead of digital software it's human beings. Love it.

Would be about 50 times better without the text slugs. Wouldve been a lot better to use slates at the beginning or end, nonetheless a nice piece

Do people have to be on something to create such amazing things. Personally, I just think he had a good imagination and when you have that, you don't need anything else.
