      I like the design, but for the price I don't think your getting enough/ I also already have allot of other devices/multitools, that can do what this tool does, but also allot more, I just feel like its somewhat limited, especially for the price. Also this is coming from someone who has expensive/high quality steel knives, I also have allot of tools on my keychain/ with my key chain, I've probably spent $300 on it, I have screw drivers, big and small, can openers,fingernail clipers multi tool, plier multi tool, blades, stand alone scisors, stand alone tweezers, tape measure, seat belt cutter and glass breaker, keychain lighter, ferrel rods, for starting fires, I'm sure I have some other tools on my key chain too, that I'm forgeting, my point here is, I don't mind investing in something, I just don't see enough value in these tools.

      Too little tools in a too bulky package. Non the less, the magnetic system is pretty awesome. I would like to see how the magnets hold up in long term use. With that metal file you will also get metal dust being drawn into the tool (by the magnets). I still prefer my old Leatherman Wave above the free series. I have a Victorinox Swiss Army knife (champion plus) which roughly takes up the same amount of pocket space as the T4 and has a lot more tools. The only real advantages you have with the T4 is the 25 year warranty and the lock blade. Now you might argue that Victorinox has a lifetime warranty, but believe me when I tell you it's not as versatile as Leatherman's.

    When I first saw these on the website I thought they'd be cool. But now I've seen them being handled I'm kind of thinking they look fairly chunky, especially the T4. For me I'd prefer to go for a smaller SAK or step up to the full-blown Leatherman. Great review 👍

    • @cchan5652

      Then why bother with a tool where half the space is unused? Victorinox kicks leathermans ass, when it comes to non plier based tools. The cramp in twice the tools in the same space, with most tool seven being of superior design and quality.

    • @liamyedmun825
      @liamyedmun825 5 лет назад +4

      @@trulsdirio I'm a big fan of both brands.
      I used to carry SAK Cadet and Tinker.
      No complaint about quality and tools.
      But the fact that I need the tools that able to operate one hand will make my life much more easily.
      So T2 become my first choice rather than both model from SAK.
      Only the Hunter that I have seen that able to perform one hand operation but it only the blade, not all the tools.
      The reason I think the Leatherman has to double the size is due to one hand operating to require a grippy handle.
      Sorry if my grammar and spelling are not correct.

    I just received mine. It does have a hole for a lanyard. It is at the bottom left when reading the "leatherman" logo on the side. It is incredible how bad these tools are. Most implements seem rushed and not well thought through, the overall dimensions are comically large, compared to the space used up by the actual tools. Kinda the same vibes as the Ranger Grip models with pliers, better don't do it, if you have no clue how to do it right. Plier based multitools by leatherman are great, but this really seems like a desperat try.
