    Wow, this has been so helpful for helping me learn how to handle my fatigue after having covid 3 months ago. Since the pandemic started I was terrified of getting long covid, and when I did after a very mild infection, I've been baffled about why, and what to do about it. (My MD had nothing to offer.) This discussion has given me a lot to work with to find my way out of this fatigue, which I now believe is simply brain-generated.

    Please do a video on unlearning anxiety/depression and another one unlearning insomnia. I have applied all this teaching and it set me free of chronic pain, God set me free of the depression and anxiety, sleep disturbances is last to go, but better.

    • @ThisMightHurt
      @ThisMightHurt  10 месяцев назад

      Noted! We will try to create some resources on these things. It will take some time. In the meantime, if you discover any please send them our way. tmhfilm@gmail.com
      The basic idea is that you can regard insomnia and anxiety as equivalents to chronic pain (manifestations of anxiety and resistance to feeling emotions), so you can treat them much the same way you would treat pain-emotional processing, cognitive reframing, behavior shifts to reduce fear of the symptoms, etc. Good luck!

    During my CFS diagnosis they found out my back was torn up from the butt up. My rheumatologist was shocked that I have very little back pain. Said my back looked like I'd been in a bad car accident. They also diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome during an EMG. That was a total scock since I have no pain in that area at all. Of course no one could find the source of my cfs/fibro pain. Go figure.

    • @ThisMightHurt
      @ThisMightHurt  Год назад +3

      Hi, depersonalization and derealization, if the symptom is caused by trauma, can in theory be addressed by using this trauma-informed treatment of reducing fear, reducing resistance to the symptoms, using mindfulness to cultivate awareness of body sensations and mental states, and working to process traumatic memories in a safe way. We have not had many people report using this specific treatment for DP/DR, so it is hard to comment beyond that. Wishing you luck.

      @@ThisMightHurt thank you for the in depth explanation! I post COVID and experiencing I guess what that is and just looking for a way for it to dissipate. Mine occurred after my body was having anxiety and first panic attack while I was recovered. I then began with a racing heart and insomnia and after the lack of sleep I began into a fog and then lo and behold the disconnect. Wasn’t sure if my brain was throwing me into protective mode. Praying all is resolved soon. Thank you again❤️
