I love the 2.0. Because all of us Stan's love watching you come back and realize exactly how hard these are since they're hard to catch 1st time. Keep it up brother
Every em album is fire in its own way. His older stuff is so fire but his new stuff is just above and beyond, like the bars his writing I mean no one else can do what this man can do, everyone can name Kendrick or drake or whatever there good, but ems on another level. And if they don’t think so it’s cause they don’t get the wordplay. The bars. The connections this man can make bar to bar is one of a kind.
Look at everything em has murdered every feature. Song after song verse after verse album after verse no ghost writer in sight! Not many people can strait up say that also. Royce is fire black thought is fire there a few close. But no one is on ems level. And if u think so you just don’t get the bars I promise ya!
Everyone says em should have stopped after the Eminem show! I mean come on?!?!?! Just haters. Jealous. Or don’t like his controversy or believe in his beliefs. But to say he fell off there’s no fucking way they really believe that
I'll go w MMLP2.Yeah ,his first 3 albums are a whole different vibe, full of adolescent memories,i heard glimpses of it on his last 3.But no matter which Em you like most,he had to evolve, wether you like it or not😊
I'm so glad that you finally FULLY see why you are the GOAT in this reaction shit, Stevie! I'm proud that YOU'RE proud of you! It is really satisfying to see someone who has the talent, drive, and work ethic that you have always shown finally achieve their dreams. Thank you for sharing this with us!
In regards to the chorus, I feel there's an element of contrast that actually makes the chorus fit with the rest of the song. If the whole song is aggressive the whole way through, you have nothing to reference in regards to what that aggression is. The aggression of ems verses are compounded by the contrast to the softly sung chorus in my opinion.
Eminem is a very rare breed of rapper, whose lyrics are never fixed. It's like the Bible in a way (if you've read the Bible, you know), depending on what time in your life you listen to his music, they mean different things. I hope I'm making sense... You can listen to one song 10 different times and find new things every time, it's timeless! Very few can do that. The GOAT 🐐
Mmlp gets as much props as it does definitely bc of the era it came out and nostalgic feeling people still see it as. As for me, since I didn’t grow up on Em I don’t have the nostalgic factor so MMLP2 is definitely better to me
This reaction was already fire haha. This is probably my new favorite 2.0. Couldn’t stop smiling. And you lookin at yourself like a proud dad when reacting and dissecting at times.😂💯🔥
When he says - I stab myself in gut while I'm wiping my ass - take a look at "encore" album cover - he bends over to bow out with one hand on his gut and one behind his back!
I'm 45 and have been bumping Em since day 1. The best part of most of these albums is replay value. I was unimpressed with MMLP2 at first and it took a few years and then a relisten while I was painting a porch to really like this album. It's now one if my favorites. It's just so much to chew at first because of the vast amount of words he uses. He spit 5 albums worth of words on this one.
10 years ago I never thought I would be watching reaction videos on repeat and then reaction of those reaction videos 😂 man this is wild shiiit Stevie you the guy bruh
There is literally no debate between MMLP 1 and 2 1) MMLP is literally an all time HipHop Album that could not have had more relevance at the time. He perfectly satirized USA culture. 2) MMLP 2 is a very solid later career effort with some great highs but as a project it's just not near MMLP you could take 10 random songs from MMLP and it would be better than MMLP 2 and that's not a knock on MMLP 2 it's just a testament to how good MMLP was.
I listen to all types of music and MMLP always felt very punk rock to me. For one Ems not much of a singer but he never gave a shit. I actually prefer when he sings the hooks. Also the lyrics are so defiant. I bet Johnny Rotten wishes he could’ve wrote lyrics like that.
there is a debate...my favourite album is MMLP but i can understand that in MMLP2 he was more advanced technically, much more complex rhyme scenes and the flow...like wtf is this flow man...
When you get “close to” something you are allergic to (proximity) you sneeze. That whole unique flow of “through-the-roof/suc-ceed”/ “bul-let-proof/“touch-me” goes straight to the end, “go atch-u, then achieve”
When I see questions like "what's your favorite Em album" or "what's your top 5 Em songs" I can't answer. Each project has their own unique GOAT status. They are incomparable to me. If you take out 1 album, his discography after whichever you take changes because each is a piece of his life. Even Encore and Relapse. They may have been the more playful, serial killer heavy type but his mind was in such a fucked up state during that time, it was still emotion and I guarantee all those drugs made him think that fucked up shit. So with that, I can't pick 1 from another. He's just the Greatest Artist of all time to me because of every aspect of his greatness and what he has achieved and HE STILL ISNT DONE BRO... fucking legend.
I feel like a lot of people don’t like the singy hooks because their not hard or aggressive enough and I never really understood it because I’ve always looked at it as an ebb and flow type of thing, it’s like a boxer taking a break between rounds, it’s a time for the listener to catch their breath after he just beat you over the head with lyrics and cadence and get ready for the next beating.👌🏾
Both are great albums. He got more complicated in mmlp2. Mmlp was great rapping but was more simpler to understand. But mmlp went double diamond. I love them both. Did a great job Stevie
If the bonus tracks like Groundhog Day, Beautiful PaIn and Don’t Front were in the main album instead of asshole, survival and the monster it would’ve turned a modern classic album
Re listened to this track the other day. It’s fire and definitely matches the rage in my opinion of MMLP only with modern em vocals. Have you seen what it looks like for em to hit the pad? It’s fascinating. I’ve uploaded some shorts. Check them out. Peace.
Old Em could be very technical when he wanted to be and his flow was smoother with it, I think he’s def improved with his technical side recently but he didn’t always use it well like he did back then. The worst thing about Revival may not be the lyrics but it wasn’t close to his best. I’d argue slim shady Ep era em would stunt on revival era em in many ways
MMLP 2 is so great because it was 13 years later and I was there for that growing up so seeing his growth from the first on cassette at 8 to the second when I was 21 made this album even better to me I went from knowing only the chorus of singles to knowing nearly every line from every album So by the time MMLP 2 came out I was fluent in Eminem. It was like graduation day lol
This song is from the soundtrack of Call of Duty Ghosts. Which is why there was a contrast of his balls deep aggression and the soft chorus. Because in war there is a moment of the subtle, soft, poetry of sneaking around and then the aggressive violence one needs to win. Plus the whole concept of the game Ghost's was "survival of the fittest". Coming back from chaos and almost an apocalypse, surviving and coming back... (At least that's MY opinion on it)
I feel like you reacted to this song because I suggested it. If you did thanks. Their was two songs I requested and you did them both back to back. It was Hopsin crown me and Eminem survival
Randomly, alligators are silent ambushers. Never really see it coming because you forgot it was there. Also when in a tight spot alligators basically turn or spin to get out of it. Sometimes they spin to rip something they hunted open.
MMLP2 his technical skills are superior, but the record itself I'd say has more skips than MMLP. Idk how we are forgetting Stan but mentioning Criminal.
Yeah I've always thought who's hooks on a lot of songs could be better but then again that's why I tell people don't listen to his so called radio songs or commercial songs and this was one of those songs. This was the song for the Is movie South Paw
