I am always on the lookout for budget-friendly products for my gear and travel. I believe I found my new rig set up for the DJI Pocket 3.
The TILTA cage keeps the Pocket 3 slim while still providing good protection and im excited I found this cage from TITLA. Took long but. It was worth the wait.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people go out of their way to leave a negative comment. This is an awesome setup and provides a viable option to have and at the end of the day it is still the small device you started with initially. Due to hearing about it being fragile my Pocket 3 is sitting on the shelf unopened and collecting dust but you've inspired me to open it and give it a try. Thanks!!

Nothing wrong with adding options. We do it to all our cameras. You make it your own. Its not meant for everyone or every occasion. Its about the possibilities. But the beauty of the simplicity is that in the end you always have that small pocket camera. Hope you have a great day.

I also bought from SunnyLife a magnetic slash stand holder and I noticed that the power button is recessed with this cover and will prevent from accidentally powering on the pocket 3 by the way excellent product and the magnetic application opens up so many more options
I really like this. I can do without the add on accessories but i love how protected it is just the cage itself. I wish had some go pro mounting options
nice idea and pretty cool setup.... but if I was going to use a cage, I'd use a camera with a larger sensor since I'm adding to the size already with the handle. What makes the Pocket 3 worth using the smaller sensor is its pocket-portability. Just my thoughts....

The Osmo 3 is to tiny and frail on its own - this is an epic solution!
Really liking this set up for the Pocket 3
I like pretty much if either Tilta or Smallriig makes one with Arca Swiss plate so it can fit standing in all my different tripods (Universal fit)

This is my favorite cage so far, but I wish it had a good way to protect the gimbal I don't want to have to disassemble it to put the pocket 3 into a case each time.
Just what i had been looking for, Puerto Rico, I love the handle with the NATO slide the accommodates the size to the cage, if you do any other work on this I would like for you to try the Ulanzi BG-2 which I also have attache some how to the cage or any other new power back the would be easy to attache to the cage and provide more power to the OP3. THANK YOU for posting, I have ordered all of the items in your video. The DJI OP3 is an amazing addition to travel videos.

The cellphone mount might come on handy if you want to use the Mimo app to control your camera. I also never thought of the portrait mode so you can keep the 4K resolution in tact…cool gadgets!

Hi, great video. Can the clips be reached on the pocket 3 to remove the camera without having to unscrew the bottom screw? Very nice setup should help to keep everything nice and smooth

Hi I also bought the SunnyLife gimbal and screen protector I like how it fits but I saw another RUclipsr’s video saying when using this protector if you had the unit accidentally power in could damage the unit but doesn’t know if the pocket 3 has a protection mode to not turn on does anyone out there have the answer to this
As much as i like the sunnylife gimbal protection it also happened to me several times where by accident the power button is pressed. Fortunately the gimbal goes into a protective mode. Not sure if eventually it would damage the gimbal. Im in search for one that covers the power button. Hopefully SunnyLife updates it for those who prefer to have an extended cover for the joystick and power button.
Wow ! Really cool. Thanks for making this video. I have the OSMO Pocket 3 and was looking for a metal type cage for a possible rigging out setup of my OSMO Pocket 3. I also like to protect my gear, but this setup will not do that. I think you must realize that the most precariously mounted and fragile part of this gimbal camera is on the top and not on the bottom ? Clearly, the OSMO Pocket Gimbal Assembly itself is the most at risk part of the instrument for total damage should it be accidentally dropped. I would like to see an extension of the metal cage concept to somehow partially encompass the camera gimbal assembly with enough peripheral clearance to allow unobstructed gimbal movement without the cage getting in the shots. Perhaps a screw down optically clear high impact plastic bubble, which could be screwed down tight once the camera is mounted inside the cage base assembly ? I think I will definitely get one of these cages along with the handle and try it out. P.S. The silicone skin you have on the camera will do nothing in an impact to protect the device, but will surely protect the plastic surface from excess finger prints and oil from handling. The plastic gimbal protector looks suspect to me, since it is made out of rather thin and fexible material.

Thank you for watching. The one I displayed in the video and used is part of a Hohem smartphone holder accessory for their gopro gimbal. Interesting, but for me the TILTA cage falls down on not providing a 1/4-20 thread at the bottom where you would want a tripod mounting, though I guess you could swap in a longer bolt to hold both an Arca plate and the cage...
The Tilta has (2) 1/4 20 thread on the bottom perhaps not dead center because the Pocket 3 has to be tighten to attach and secure it to the cage. Hope you have a great day.

I did a video on how the landscape has changed and guys like us are looking to modify our phones and smaller camera equipment in order to make full use of the capabilities and also replace the conventional camera load out . This is just another segment of proof that just shows that there is a New and preferred way of adding equipment

The light: Ulanzi VL28 led vlog light (not sure of they still sell this version) and the tripod: Oben TT-50 tripod. Hope you have a great day.

The only Thing that I say missing from that cage is an attachable GoPro mount to mount the camera to a vehicle mount! That would be ultimate and complete for that cage!

The main selling point of the pocket 3 is the small form factor so why bulk it up with a cage?
Thanks for the question. Like i mentioned in the video I know this cage is not for everyone nor for every occasion. Its simply just an option to keep in mind and its expanding potential as every other camera. The cage itself self keeps the Pocket 3 slim with some added protection. Again thanks for the comment. The bulk serves 2 purposes, a bit of ballast and better control over movement which both help to improve results.

Kinda defeats the purpose of buying a simple, lightweight, hand held gimbal camera. But for gear collectors I'm sure these are must haves.
Buy a pocket camera and transform into a non pocket camera... very wise. It's my personal opnion but I do not see any benefits to rig a Osmo Pocket 3. The camera was perfect made for you to carry eveytime into you pocket and you will have accesbility to a great small camera to record your videos everytime and wherever you want and make a almost full size mirroles camera, thats makes you lazy to record your videos.

I think it's useless. Advantage of Pocket is pocket size. Use this cage we lost this pros.

By having a secondary grip, you'll get smoother, more precise shots. You can also now safely mount the Osmo on an articulating arm, or car mount. Vloggers, press, event videographers will use the hell out of this.
@@MrIanWebbits a gimble, adding a second handle is not going to make it any smoother than it already is, all youve done is make the camera even more bulky and useless, and you domt need a picatinny rail to mount it to a vehicle, it comes with a standard tripod thread mount and theres way more stuff that uses that mount standard than a rail.
@@linksgard2 The further your hands get from the motors and the camera sensor, the smoother your shots and gimbal moves are.
That was why I sold the original osmo, as you had to connect your phone and all the other stuff, the pocket 3 is ideal

Do you really walk around with all that unneccessary stuff? Why do you just don´t use a proper camcorder instead? Just use an expandable pole with a phone mount on the grip handle. Keep it simple.
