I have tried the sony, sennheisers, the q45's and the q35's, none of them has as good a sound and volume as the technics, the difference is massive. The only fault with them is the wearing sensor that randomly switches them off, you can turn off the sensor to fix this.
Hi, I’m having the same issue with the wearing sensor, playback randomly pauses and have to hit play again. But apart from that I love these headphones, the sound and volume is incredible, and the ANC more than capable.
These headphones are now ridiculously good value now and make them a much easier choice when they are being compared to much more expensive headphones. I bought mine for just £160 Almost half the price of a year ago. They are so good for their reduced price.
I bought them in December 2022. And after 8 months, I am delighted with them. In the salon, I compared it with the Sony Wh1000xm5. Sony have a slightly more transparent and clean top, but the general perception after listening is as if they switched from LDAC to SBC. Volume and powerful delivery. After A800, everything seems flat.
Little tips LDAC on default is set on 660kbps (optimised setting for connection/quality) in developper options and need to be set on 990kbps (optimised for quality). You can just use the sony music center app because open the app automaticaly set on 990 that is way faster than going to developper options. In my case i saw that 990kbps lost packets and lag on A800 maube due to the metal next to the bluetooth receiver on the headphone, and my XM3 and XM4 do not have this packet loss on 990kbps setting. Moreover LDAC default to 32bit 96khz which is really high and use a lot of kbps to pass which maybe reducing music quality (i do not found a difference) these settings can be easily changed via the application "bluetooth scanner" with an eye and the word "discover" in his logo.
Other tips: Android uses by default an API called Android Audio Stack or audio Track don't remember which is upsampling or downsampling all media to 48khz 16bit but this API is low quality compared to the internal hardware DAC from the processor like aqstic on snapdragon CPU. To force this high quality DAC you need to use Poweramp and go to audio settings>output>and set the high resolution audio on. But Poweramp only can read downloaded media on your device. Another application called "UAPP" can do the same and read Tidal/Qobuz streaming music, and MQA decoding. But these two applications are not free.
Sony app is setting LDAC automatically to 990 ? really ? Until now I was using app and then going to dev options to switch manually to 990 because there was still best efforts.
@@DamianNocun Not the "headphone" app, it's the "music center" app from sony (maybe you need to go in the parameter of the app one time to set quality optimised) but after when you open the app it switch automaticaly to 990kbps 😁
