Great demo! Really shows how great the tones on the headrush are. I own a pod hd500x and really know how it works and can get great tones out of it. Thinking of upgrading but not really liking the Helix that much. I find the high eng fizz on the high gain amps a real problem and if the headrush handels it better that would be my go to unit.
Nice demo. Had my HR for a week, running it into a Mesa 50/50 and 2x12 mesa cab (V30/G75) and when I first tested I thought I made a mistake buying it. Then the next day I started tweaking and now I'm extremely happy with the tones, so with work this thing can sound amazing and versatile. I'm running a stereo 2x12 in wet/dry and it's so good and am currently using the Soldano SLO crunch as my amp and it's fat, tight and defined, when I dig in I get great response and attack and when I back off it cleans up with lighter attack. Bottom line is the Headrush is better than I expected and it's a keeper and sounds great through a tube power section and traditional cab, excellent product A+. The only thing I'm looking forward to is some more variety in the Dist/Od pedals etc but am happy with quality more than quality ;)
I agree. I love the HR. I did incorporate the HX Effects for the added bonuses of effects and overdrives. Which are great too. My Helix is good but the HR kills with the amps.
Do you know if there are any plans to add any extra distortion effects into the headrush now that software 2.0 is here I'm still craving a blues driver block. Also would be incredible if they had either a BE-OD style pedal or a BE 100 amp. What do you guys think?
GC usually have both. The Helix is fantastic with all the offerings but tend to still have a tone that is more digital on the amps. In a mix, not so noticeable. The new Placater is the best one yet though. The HR sounds more, feels more realistic as amps alone and in the mix sounds great. Yet they don't offer as much as the Helix but with what amps they have, the realistic feel and sound makes up for it. Acts and sounds like real amps. I have and use both but my HR is my main one I use. I have incorporated the HX Effects with it because I love the added effects, overdrives. I know, that's pricey but it's what I am really enjoying. Remember, the HR presets are not the best and need some tweaking. My advice, if you try the HR, just go with a new amp rig, set everything neutral, then season to taste from there like a real amp. Remember, with higher gain, drop the bass a little like a real amp. Enjoy.
@@ChopTonesOfficial thanks! What kind of headphones are you using? I have the headrush and used your free patch pack. I'm using akg 240s, but the tone doesn't sound nearly as good as when I listen to your youtube vids with headphones
Why does Slash or Angus Young sound the same on anything they play on? It’s because it’s the same person playing. The Impulse Responses and his fingers make up his tone.
They wanted to get the Gigboard to market early, without compromising on the deadlines for firmware v2 for the pedalboard. So they went ahead and released the Gigboard without the new firmware - both problems solved. Now that firmware 2 and gigboard are both out, all they have to do is port the new firmware for the new gigboard. They should be working on it as we speak :)

Awesome! Love the distortion saturation.

You have any patch demos for lower timings like 7 or 8 string or baritone?
This is same slowgear?
The recording is direct from the Headrush ??
Yes!
Probably have answered this before but: Headrush or Helix in your opinion? I'm absolutely stumped on which one to get.

I have the Head Rush Gigboard, I love it.
Wich IR did you use?
Choptones IR
@@ChopTonesOfficial yeah, but which one in particular?
Mesa Boogie 4x12, Marshall 425 4x12, Fender The Edge 1x12.

Patches are exactly the same you could hear in the demo, we don't apply any postprocessing. We test our tones on several headphones and speakers.
Why All Your Demos Sound Very Similar No Matter Which Pedalboard are you Showed.

Are AutoSwell & Shimmer new effects available in 2.0 ? I have a Gigboard and I don't have them :-(
Yes, they're on 2.0. But stay tuned.... ;)
It's coming. Calm down I know ; )
