I have a 1997 just like your truck (5-speed manual too) but it just has a 12' steel flat bed. I always thought it was a bit odd how Ford never made the F-Superduty in a 4X4. Marmon and Herrington +Quigley sold 4X4 conversion kits to truck up-fitters like Fontaine but those trucks are getting to be very hard to find like a mythical unicorn. I am wanting to convert mine to a 4X4. I think that the hardest part will be finding a DANA 60 or 70 front diff, some 10 lug wheel adapters and a transfer case adapter for the parking brake (It already has a 4X4 transmission.)
My 1990 Ford truck has a bend in the hood like that from when the hinge failed and the hood got kinked. Your stuff rusts from the bottom up and ours rusts from the top down. This would be a great truck to pull the skid steer around too.
I have the same truck (1997). Where did you find the new pump motor? Mine lifts but its on its last leg. I called the outfitter here in Mississippi and they said a modern replacement would be $768.

I also thought about converting mine to 4x4, but it's probably easier to sell it and buy a slightly newer 4x4 dump

It pulls the trailer with the skid steer without breaking a sweat. I might have to buy some new fenders, a cab corner, maybe even a hood.

eBay, it is a very common motor and I only paid about $110 for it. I believe it is a Monarch pump motor
Looks and sounds like some injectors are sticking you can here them in the video. I would pour a bottle of stiction eliminator in 5he oil
I did put that in with the last oil change and I replaced the four passenger side injectors. Once the truck warms up it runs great
Reminds me of the 97 f450 bin truck on my channel
I'll have to check that out
Question, where are you in NY? This looks like an old HW Streeter truck based on the color scheme.
