I have like 10+ different marseille decks and I think pound for pound, top to bottom, the Flornoy Noblet is the most rewarding. There is something deeply captivating and engaging about that deck that I find lacking in others. I’ve never been able to quite figure out entirely why that is. Having said that, I know one reason for me is the facial expressions. The Flornoy Noblet images just seem alive, present, relevant. It’s the only way I can describe it.

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for. Now on to the hard part of deciding which to get first.

Thanks for the video, good stuff. I like the cleaned up flornoy version, cleaner vibrant designs. If i needed another deck I woukd get that one.

Thank you so much for the kind comment! I think I prefer the the thickness of the Peterson deck however I do like the clear lines of the Flornoy version. I'm working on a restoration of this deck now. I like cleaned up lines and vintage look.

As it turns out I just ordered the Peterson version. I am intrigued by the thought that they are identical to what someone would have seen in 1659?

What amazes me is that these decks were hand printed in the thousands every year. Some card makers (Burdel, Conver) printed these same decks for over 100 years and several generations.

The Flornoy is better: A GREAT GREAT Job. The other one is only a copy....
