Great video! I have the Spanish deck which was my introduction to the Marseilles tradition, & just love the rich coloration & expressions of the Majors & court cards. The Ancient Italian deck is one that I have also had my eye on for quite some time. It does seem strange that while Tarot may be enjoying a resurgence, the overwhelming majority of decks & literature are still based on the RWS system. I think that any of these decks would be a fine introduction to the TdM system, & hopefully more people will discover the fascination & meaning in this tradition.
Hello :) Yes, at least in the US, coming across non WCS readers is rare. These decks are terrific for introduction to pip styled decks and they are so different from each other! Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. ~ Marilyn
Marseilles are my 1st love, and as of today, and yes, because of your video....I've ordered the Fournier. Ha! I couldn't help it. There's room in the collection, it will be a welcome addition.
I apologize for only now seeing your comment. Sometimes I don't see all comments as they come in, but I do make an effort to see and respond to all comments. Thank you for watching and commenting. I agree the Fournier is a a great publisher! ~ Marilyn
Ooh! I want these! My current gotos are the Tarot des Centuries, the Fournier TdM, Thomson-Leng (mix of RWS and Eudes Picard pops), and the Noblet. I also really love the Ignaz Krebs/Piatnik TdM. The Hermit is *fuzzy*. I think he's wearing a hair shirt but he looks like a friendly Yeti. However, that deck is just too large for my small hands. That's one reason why I read with the Noblet, the Fournier, and the Thomson-Leng due to their small size. I'm sorry that I have written you a book but it is so rare to find a TDM/non scenic pip deck RUclips. I shall have to try these especially the Italian. It is gorgeous.
I'm so happy you've found my channel! My primary focus are historic Italian, TdM, Besançon, and pip style decks in general, but every now and then I'll share other style decks. I've got over 400 videos, so please dig in! And welcome to my channel! ~ Marilyn
Dear Marylin I would like to thank you very much for this movie💞- for the first time you introduced me to the Ancient Italian Tarot which later brought me to the Sopraffino one! I am just in love with it😍!!! It "talks" like crazy and I adore it's card stock, coloration as well as it's 3dimention feeling! Unexpectedly it became my favourite TdM😘!!! So thank you once more🥰!!!
Hello :) Yes, the Ancient Italian Tarot deck is very reminiscent of the Soprafino. They are both very beautiful decks. The Ancient Italian by Lo Scarabeo is an affordable version which is why it's one of my workhorses. I never worry about losing it or accidentally damaging a card. It's easily replaceable. Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Yes, I understand you perfectly well- this is why I bought the Ancient Tarot version too😁! The Pips in it are so lovely!!! However I was able to buy Tarocco Sopraffino limited edition by Lo Scarabeo for~29$ and the card stock feels so nice! Plus cards are a little bit smoller than in Ancient one (which I personaly prefare) so Sopraffino finally "won"😉. I must say I am so obsessed with it right now that I intend to buy Il Meneghello one too - just for myself🤪... I know it is crazy but... And it all thanks to you 😅!!! I really very appreciate your movies, the calm and soothing way you broadcast your knowledge to us - so thank you❣ Blessings!!!
You have a beautiful peaceful voice
Thank you Matt. That's very nice of you to say. Thank you also for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn
