How did I miss this video of yours, Shell?!
YES! I so agree! Nothing compares with the handmade tarot decks, they have the most magical, personal, authentic feel and the energy that goes into making them makes them even more special!
Carol's colouring of Jean Noblet is very beautiful!
Thank you SO much for sharing!

That really is a lovely deck. The colors are lovely. I like the sound the cards make. What a lovely gift.

Hi Shell! It is Carol here. Thank you so much for all the beautiful compliments. I am happy that you liked my deck. And so grateful that you gift me your lines to color. I have a totally different Palette for the Dodal now. Down sized, and more true reds and yellow. You are so easy to please. I will want you to have a full deck of the Dodal on the paper used for the Noblet. I hope to find some soon. And you are too kind. I have loved every deck I have seen you working on. I could never hold a candle to your Mitelli. You are a true artist, and I have loved all of your own coloring of your decks I have seen. That Mitelli is amazing. Your lines are always spot on. And you capture the expressions on the faces that match the originals exactly. I feel like I am coloring the original lines. And I love that you don't make changes to the original details on the cards.

I coat my hand painted decks with Dorland's wax, used in rendering a waterproof finish on watercolors.

Although I don't even own one handmade deck, I also love traditional things.. classical ways.. so I can imagine how you would feel less for mass production decks ☺️ (You're spoiled😼 Joking😹)
Getting to know amazingly caring people in the field is the best part of pursuing your interests 💖 Love brings in love (friendships), and keeps expanding✨💝✨
Thank you always for sharing (all these Jean's 😁)✨😻✨

Thank you. It’s fairly easy to make a handmade deck. Start with a facsimile that you really love, print it on some card stock (it doesn’t have to be expensive art paper), cut them as good as you can. If you want to level up, apply some decoupage to them before you cut them. It will be a beautiful deck made with your love and care.

@@shelldavid-easttarot4585 Thank you for replying 💖 I've been actually wanting to draw my own version of the Dodal deck and make my own cards.. I'll have to figure out how to prepare the paper (card stock)! Thought about gluing together layers of regular paper, but it'd be hard to get it even.. Will look for some readymade material😺

@@edeletwin I should make a video on a simple method to make a deck. Simplicity is good for starters. You really should make one!
