- An incredibly unbalanced run. The plateau certainly isn't awful, but compared to my best plateau time it loses 15-16 seconds. On the flip side I only lost 6 seconds to my sum of best after plateau compared to the 27 I lost on plat. The attack up claymore in calamity was really lucky, although it probably saved like 3 seconds so I would've gotten a pb anyway. This might be my last pb before TotK (we'll see if I can squeeze out another in the next week) but there's still a ton of room for improvement.

This run is canon. It's the reason why Link starts with 3 hearts and no stamina upgrades in TOTK.

canonically link did all the shrines like the good boy he is. hell he used the glitch to get more hearts than possible

Honestly it's more cinematic than my playthrough where Link's looking dumb with the stupid ancient bucket head in the end game scenes.

as someone who doesn't really watch speedruns this is insanely fun to watch wtf is happening. the way he talks and reads chat at the same time is just insane to me
This is what I am always amazed from....that the talk and read...even just talking would distract me and mess me up, let alone reading!
I even have to pause the video to see the comments lol
They just do it again and again until it's become a habit, as part of the method is to just try a lot until you manage to luckily perform better than usual, so they don't need to focus too much on the easy parts of the speedrun. And since it's no big deal to mess up, they can be relaxed.
I like to imagine that the speedrun is canonically how Cutscene Link would act in the game. That little maniac wouldn't spend 20 hours cooking and racing sandseals, he would fly over and punch Ganon directly in the face

I've never watched a speed run of BotW before and this was just amazing. I've never seen the game played this way. Most impressive to me is your calm demeanor throughout. Outstanding showing!

I was watching botw speedruns back when shield clipping was just discovered. I had since lost interest for a few years now. With the sequel coming out I decided to watch one again.
I thought things were optimized then. Wtf happened??? This man literally set up a shield clip to avoid walking through the entrance of the church??? The next 20 minutes of this is going to be awesome.

i love how the run starts like a "normale run" with +6.6 and how you got the WR with 7secs, you juste saved 12~ secs on the castle & fights, that's incredible
I love how the bulk of the Speedrun is just getting through the intro. Then it's right to Hyrule Castle to kick Gannon's butt 😂
The boss fights legit looked right out of terminal montage. You're mashing like half a dozen end-game arrows into his eye as you're animation cancelling like a full dozen different attack animations.

Why/how was this calamity so much faster than normal? Insane how you were slightly behind the entire run and then that amazing split carries all of it. GG
I already knew I had like 5 seconds to save in calamity if everything went right because my previous run had messed the fight up a little. The unexpected part was the attack up modifier on the claymore which is extremely lucky and saves a couple of seconds because it deals damage faster during the stunlock (61 attack vs the normal 52).
Sometimes the claymore just spawns with attack up? Is that right?

Holy crap dude, i didnt know this game was down to 20 something minutes. Ive never seen a full run but i lile the glitches so ive seen tons of clips from runs but i never thought this would be a sub 30 min game. Good work.
