Rob my friend, you are a blessed man.
Thank God for youtube so I can live vicariously through you!
By the way guys if I don't reply to you, it's probably because RUclips won't let me due to Google accounts etc ;-)
How much would you want for your les Paul? Cheers
YJM Furys in the drawer? 😮
+Rob Chapman open your Mr black pedals for a treat
+Rob Chapman review the fluff ryan bruce pickups!
+Rob Chapman Chapers, can you give this a go, I've backed it! Just thought it would be worth a review, even if doesn't meet expectations

Rob you really are living the dream of a lot of us guitar players, thanks for sharing this video showing us round your new studio.
"It's important too have toys in every toilet" - Rob Chapman 2015
^^ Waiting for this ( :
+James Nixon I have an acoustic guitar in mine ^^.
+James Nixon TOYlet ;)
+James Nixon It's important to have good grammar TOO!
+SuperHell666666 welcome to the Internet, where people don't give a single fuck about grammar
Can you get Dave or someone equally qualified to do some bass demos for Andertons? Dont get me wrong; I really like your reviews with Lee but im a bass player and theres just not enough reviews of the same quality you guys deliver. No one reviews a full series of new basses from lets say Fender or Squier or Schecter or Ibanez or any other brand for that matter...
Theres two extremes with bass reviews:
- Really crappy ones that are not recorded properly
- Really over the top ones where theres a completely unaffordable bass being demoed by 15 minutes of slapping triplets.
My suggestions would be:
Get someone who actually plays something that the average bass playing Joe would play in a band context
Do short in-mix bits and some downtunings so we can hear if that bass would work in drop-d or drop-c/c#
Approach it in the same way you would approach a guitar demo. for example show the new line of squier classic vibes or the new line of ibanez soundgears etc.
+bremsnix Couldn't agree more. It's sad to see all the awesome andertons guitar demos and then have to watch a crappy, short bass review from somewhere.
I know right. There are so many cool effect pedal reviews, but I don't buy them because I'm afraid they wouldn't sound good on bass. I love the guitar reviews, but some bass stuff would be great as well.
And Dave would be perfect for that. He knows how to slap, but he can play simple melodic stuff as well :)
+bremsnix Not a bass player but I'll upvote for visibility
+Brad Muse thx mate!
+bremsnix I couldn't agree more. It would be great to have a channel which makes videos with high quality and low bias.
Bass review as it is now are basically either recorded with a low-quality, hand-held device; in German or Spanish; by some over-enthusiastic salesperson or even, God forbid, by Andy Irvine..
Can you please do a video on Jim Root's line of Fenders or any of the guitars in the line? I've been trying to find a solid comparison review for ages.
+BananaPie yeah rob, review the jim root jazzmaster
+BananaPie look at the video of his sig amp they did, pretty sure they were using root strats and teles
It's going to sound like all of his other guitars. When you install EMGS in anything they sound the same.
+Brandon Scales They only used tele's I think
peavey 6505 mini head! i would love a chappers review! sweet pad bro. keep on shredding!
agreed
+john bacino fender are very strange when it comes to letting people demo their stuff by sending it and returning... maybe tho!
+Brandon Scales no not the evh lbx, that's the one made by fender. I mean the Peavy 6505 mini, made in the far East by Peavey
john bacino
I think I've gone mad, I mistook the two :P My mistake, fluff did a good video on the Peavey
+john bacino I agree. I'd love to see Rob due a review. I already own one but still want to see his thoughts on it.
you tube is such an amazing place, it's so satisfying seeing people who you have followed evolve, and I'm sure far more satisfying for you Mr Chapman, good luck my friend.
Just stopped Katherine from going to sleep to get her to watch this. You bring great joy :D
Just gotta say.. THAT FLOOR! lol wood floor is just the best.
im so glad you finally did a full gear tour :) i have been studying all of your videos trying to find more about some of your gear and this video pretty much answered everything so thanks, keep up the great work!
Hey Rob, you should do a LTD vs ESP vs E-II video that compares different models (Horizon, Eclipse, Viper etc.)
I know how much you enjoy ESP/LTD guitars so I think it would be interesting to hear your perspective and opinion.
Keep doing what you do, man.
Having just visited London and seeing the prices for housing there, that studio is HUGE! Must have cost more than a few shillings! Congratulations on the space! Wished I could have visited!
Anxious to hear your thoughts on the viscous vibe and helix. Hope the new place treats you well.
To Ameer Mahdi - I haven't actually been told who won yet, Faith picked the winner... as soon as I know I'll let you guys know.
Rob
+Rob Chapman what about the proto naked series? it's been forever and i can't find anything announcing a winner
Hey Rob chapman just wanted to know about the pedals that you where making are they still in the works just wanting to know oh and I noticed in one of your oldest videos u had a green ghost fret do u still have that one
+Rob Chapman great video wondering could you review
some joyo pedals
ehx dr q nano filter
ehx chillswitch
boss super octave 3
and the new prd 2016 range?
I really want to know more about the MLB-1, I know Dave did a kickass video on it already. However, the sound of the video itself was way too low even with headphones on. I am seriously dying to get one and would love to see and hear much more of it! That being said I can't wait for the Awesome stream of videos to come out of the new place Rob, Keep up the Stellar work!! Much love man.
Glad you're happy with it dude! Sending you happy musicy type vibes!!!
Studio looks awesome man! I'm always so envious of the amount of gear you have, I'm just sat here with my 1 Marshall combo (All valve of course) and 1 Gibson Les Paul. But I love them both of course! Looking forward to seeing some videos from the studio.
'There's my shitter!' :-) I nearly spat out my coffee!
I'd love to hear what you might do with some of the earthquaker pedals! I really enjoy the videos. Thanks and congratulations on the wedding.
I've followed you for years and I saw your band live. I too am a singer guitar freak, but sadly I have to work in a call centre cos apparently being a musician is a "hobby" great to see you living your dreams. :)
Rob do a shootout of all your pedals! And you should do like a deciding video on what pedals you want to take on tour :) would really love to see that!! Love you as always rob! Seeya in Bristol in December, can't wait!!
Watching this gave me a full on geargasm!
We have the same shower! I am in Australia, but we are connected by the matching showers, through the drainpipes, and across the oceans. Epic. Haha
You should do a video on fuzz pedals going all the way up the price range and how to get good fuzz tones
I've been struggling with fuzz for awhile now I'd love to see a video going into great detail
Go on ebay and find a fuzz face clone (handmade by small companies not dunlop) you can have the same tone for half the price!
Just get a THUNDERCLAAAAAAW !
Rob reviewed it with Lee Andertons, go check it out, I personally think it's the best fuzz I've heard in a long time.
+Fancy FA I'm very aware of the thunderclaw I do enjoy it's tone but it's a little out of my price range currently
+jake winchester Ive got a germanium 'fuzz fing' from ebay. NOS Germanium transistors (best smoothtone) everything else is standard fuzz face circuitry and it ws 50£! Its a little brighter than a normal fuzz face and cleans up better too. Or theres always the big muff for a REALLY wooly sound thats quite affordable.
+jake winchester Two words: Big Muff. Only fuzz you'll ever need. Well, maybe not. But seriously, Big Muff.
Presonus studio one is my favourite DAW these days. It's so quick/user friendly and just generally makes tasks easier to do that might take ages on other programs
Damn, i just love the look of the Silverback Prototype 2. So cool!
I was beginning to think I had too much gear. After watching this, I feel much better.
THAT DRAWER!!! OMG!!! cries... i cant even affrord to buy guitar strings now hahahah
That corner of destruction with you sitting in the chair with the ghost fret should be the album cover for a future solo album of yours.
Chappers you was so positive when you got your Les Paul with Lee and that you had to sell your last one due to funds 5 years ago may be 6 now (yes you are stoked ) LOL
Best of luck with your new baby V, Lee has posted the 2016 lineup if you don't already know, best of luck with your new adventures hope you have understanding neighbours :-)
Begin that you're pretty much the best gear reviewer on RUclips. There's an amp out from Peavey that's a new edition to the 6505 Series. You probably know of it already its the 20 watt mini they just put out. I haven't found a review on it and I'm looking to buy it soon so If you can get one or find one at Andertons to review I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks Rob.
If you're able to, I'd like to see you review some Dialtone pickups. It would be cool to see what you could do with them because of all the possibilities to adjust them on the fly.
The couch is fundamental for the new studio! :D
Hi Rob,
I live down in Hobart, Australia and for a while now I've been lusting over BAD CAT amps. I've seen a heap of my favourite artists using them over the years but can't find much online about what they can and can't do etc (at least, not in an honest 'muso to muso' way like your videos are).
No shops down here stock them and will only order one in if I definitely take it which, knowing little about them, I'm not sure about you know? I don't suppose you could get your hands on a HOT CAT 50 or maybe a BLACK CAT 40 and do one of your fabulous videos? Cheers buddy, keep the brilliant content coming!
Nice! Is this in brighton or in malta?
Loved the Dub-reggae backing..great video Rob..Love from Greece
I think an interesting review would be a side by side review of the progression of all your signature amps, from proto 1 of the Silverback all the way through to the RD-1. I would love to hear the tonal progression. Keep up the good work!
Nice room! Got to do the distant room mic in the bathroom thing - should sound immense when mixed in with close-micing.
More Marshall and Jackson!! Loved the new space and look forward to the music!
A sad day. One of my fave videos is the one where you picked out the Les Paul. A magical feeling. Please put up a vid of you buying the new V.
Can you make a guide on making the ideal home music room? Stuff like how to know where to place sound dampening panels and all that? Just a thought.
Definitely a job for Dave! :-)
Awesome looking space, can't wait for the new videos. As for reviews, it would be a bit of a departure from the usual stuff, but I'd love to see a demo of a crossover nylon string guitar (the ones with the narrower necks, like the Yamaha NTX series) either solo or with the Captain. Mostly because I've never seen you guys play a nylon and I'm curious what you would do with one.
Rotosounds are awesome, bending is noticably easier, they last longer than most uncoated strings and they're best with single coil guitars :)
Love the new place. Are you going to add some soundproofing panels to the walls and ceiling?
Also, I would love to see a review of the Music Man Majesty JP signature, if possible. I'm definitely a JP fan and I would love to hear your honest opinion on that guitar.
Regarding pedals, I was wondering if you have ever tried the Mercury Box by Brunetti. It's an overdrive/distortion pedal that I absolutely love and use everyday.
Cheers, man! Looking forward to the videos from the new studio.
i saw someone unbox one of your guitars and i noticed the got a cookie...if that's a actual thing you do just gives me more of a reason to get one of your guitars
+leotrevino00 the cookie is a Riff City Guitar thing
+Colin Hansen thanks for the info
Love the FocusRite audio interface, I now have the Scarlett 18i8 in my studio. Now I just need that Chapman Tele as I'm recording a blues CD. I'll pay the shipping Rob and use it during the making of video. The studio looks great, nothing like having an idea then quickly recording it so the idea isn't lost. I'm currently using Reaper 5.0 as my DAW. What are you using, ProTools?
Hey Rob, I would really enjoy seeing some classic gear reviews, old standards that may have fallen by the wayside. Boss Metal Zone comes to mind, Fuzz Face, and so on.
thank you rob for all your time you spend reviewing products .really great to see you still have time for it I hope you still do bids with captain Lee love to watch them.but I saw at andertons they have new fender fsr telex a 66 and a 62 not sure if they are japan or what but they look cool could you review these.?thank you wish you the best in the future. pat from usa
oops dam auto spell vids not bids and teles not telex lol
Very smart! Make sure your alarmed and contents insured! Loads of expensive win there sir! :-D
Rob, if you've never used Rotosound strings i think you'll be pleasently suprised. I moved over to them about 15 years ago and use them pretty much all the time. I do occasionally use D'addario too (depending which i can get the best deal on at the time) but the Roto's are great and i like to support British companies when they make quality products. Check em out man.
Rob u should totally tru out the Universal Audio Appolo solo that interface is amazing!
Can't wait to see you in Leeds Rob !
When will you review the new Gibson range? :D Really exited for the red, zebra humbucker, binded V :D Although I bought a Studio 2015 this year :/
Rob - perhaps a review of the new Jet City Custom 22 would be in order, given that (as far as I know) it's been designed by a good mate of yours?
VOX ICE 9 overdrive 1:49 !!!!
What's your opinion about this pedal ?
Why is it discountinued ? Joe doesn't like it anymore ?
I'm looking for something close, I've heard reviews and think it's special ...
Thanks for your videos
Since you have a little budget recording rig how about a little rundown on how you use it and what all you need to get good results.
Cheers mate! I really love your cave. Nice!
Chappers hey love the channel!! Since you are such a big Satch fan have you ever considered demoing the Peavey JSX head on your channel? There really are not many great reviews of it on RUclips and I think it's an absolute killer sounding head! Thanks man for all the cool content and hopefully you can find one!
Hey it's my Mythos Pedals Mjolnir I gave you in Nashville Rob! Super pumped to see it in a video!
I would love if you got a chance to review the SansAmp GT2, I bought it through my music store because I played it previously and digged the tones. I'm going to use it as an actual pedal instead of an amp box so I was curious how you thought it might sound.
Always a pleasure to see your videos, Chappers!
excellent tour.. uba jealous. . Looks fab! ! take it this isn't in the UK as you've relocated to foreign Shores? would love to hear the viscous vibe "chappers demo" connected to the RD1.. keep on keeping on \~~/😊
Hey, Chappers!
I'd love to see a combination review of a bunch of the new TC Electronics stuff that's been released recently. I have only heard fantastic things about them and you seem to have a couple there.
A few of them strapped in together and toyed with would be really cool.
Cheers!
I'd love to see a complete rundown of all Chapman guitars, using the same equipment otherwise (effects, cables, etc). Go through the pickups, etc.
I can understand the enjoyment of natural reverb of a room. However, it seems a bit limiting for recording situations. Are you going to put up a few acoustic panels to flatten the room? Or, is this more a rehearsal/review filming studio?
Totally rad, Rob!! Hope all is well!!
looking forward to seeing the gibson 2016 line up demo
I want all of this in my life, I need most of it in my life
Hey Rob nice studio..I would love to see a review of the Peavey 6505 mini..thinking of getting one would love to hear ur thoughts..keep doing what ur doing ur an inspiration Brother..ROCK ON
Very Nice to see both the cornstar and crossover on the same board! I really enjoy Them both too on My board, i hope Will are going to see Them in future videos (with your new AMP) i actually use My pedals with the atomic amplifire
A super in depth review of that presonus would be sick, maybe a comparison between that and the scarlet???
Would really like to see some more acoustic guitar reviews, the ones you have done in the past have been really good!
Quality new pad Rob! I thought you were moving to Malta!
Dude! amazing gear!, i wish i have half of the things you have, specially the toys on the bathroom, that's a most! By the way, good, area to do your thing, Bless chap! keep it up!
WOW,,,,what happened to your foot ?? glad to see your success and progress
(subscriber since 2010)
You should consider doing a tour all over europe. I live in Greece and Im planning to come to one of your concerts but due to lessons I cant at the moment. Someday i will see you live i promise!!!
I'd like to see you review the new EVH 5150 25watt Lunchbox amp! Your review of the 50watt and 100watt versions was great and what convinced me to buy one!
I know Bea has a video on it, but I'd like to see more of the Two Notes Torpedo Live, if possible.
Rob, I really think you should demo the Orange Micro Terror!
Cheers
My dream living room- I swear, I'd never leave...
I really dig the FPS on the video. Very smooth.
Rob, I'd be interested in seeing more about load boxes, volume attenuators and IRs. Thank you.
Oh hey, I'm from Portland Oregon! Didn't know we made pedals!
I am actually suprised to see some tone city pedals there lol ....i didnt try those because of my bad experiences with other cheap pedals but maybe ill get one just to see how they are^^
have you guys thought about doing Hagstrom Guitars? their really good I've been gigging on one for years!
I just hope that the door and the windows are'nt the only security measures in place to guard these heaps of wonderful gear.
Rotosound strings are fantastic I use them all the time
You and the captain MUST do a V shootout!!! :)
I can't tell you how many times I've told him that!!! Maybe if you shout loud enough he'll here you :-)
haha i guess i will keep shouting and only hope in honour of everyone else! :)
You should really review Reverend Guitars!
From what I've had the chance to hear, they sound great. I'm about to get one shipped from Scotland, I hope I've made the right choice!
I'd love to see you review Joyo pedals! I've seen them all over and would love your opinion and demos, maybe get Rabea and Lee to weigh in as well (if he sells them and no conflict of interest of course).
Dr Scientist - The Elements . You get one of those dude you wont regret it, totally obsessed with this brand ( see your other video on chorus) :-)
Hey Rob, have you heard about the Revv Generator 120? Its supposed to be an incredibly good amp
here's a video that would interest me. i'd love to see you and Bea talk about how you guys approach blending scales and modes. both you approach them differently in a very music and modern way. i know my modes. i like to blend them together. it just doesn't sound like what you do. just like to see you guys share your approach.
Hey Rob, I'd like a review / comparison of scale lengths much like when you compared string gauges ! Thanks
Hey Monkeylord, how do you feel about stoner rock? I would be interested in some rd1 stoner/fuzz vids, maybe even unusual one. Like bass pedals on guitar, or something like that.
Nice studio, turn it to 11!
One of my goals is to get an ml-3, meet Rob, and get it signed. Oh and my Andertons shirt needs signing lol
Every time you review pedal that's on the fuzz end of the spectrum you start playing smashing pumpkins riffs, and because of that I'd love to see you do a video on big muffs. They are THE Siamese dream sound, and from what I can tell you haven't done a video on then yet.
why have you never reviewed any Hughes and Kettner equipment, like the H&k Triamp Mk3? any particular reason or just never wanted too?
Andertons don't stock H&K. Rob could do one without Lee, if he's got the contacts, and wants too.
Rabea has done a review of an H&K. :)
since you showed the Focusrite and the 2i2 and the Presonus, maybe a comparison between the two? and maybe other products within that category, maybe the m-audio m-track or something along those lines.
sweet pad, Rob!
That's a lot of gear.. Nice Henge Rob!
