Rob Chapman signature guitar from Chapman Guitars who make Chapman Guitars, in particular the Rob Chapman signature guitar from Chapman Guitars.
Yeah.
Lol, I got that too! Also check how many times when the cameras not got him in shot, he ducks into shot. I respect the fact he promoting his livelihood but, but unlike papastache, Marty, and Justin, he gives NOTHING away until recently, where he's put up some pretty dull lessons. All about self promotion with this guy, and of course the signature "greetings" which h e nicked from a tv show!
Robs Rebecca dirks coming at the end was hilarious
I like how pavlo was wearing a Kermit the frog shirt that's that's exactly who his voice sounds like
It's so awesome being able to watch this and say that I played Rob's guitars :D
Chappers thumbs up dude! Its nice to see a guitarist showing us, the faithfull youtube fans, theyre own rig and not theyre guitar tech or anybody else, the heady heighst of fame havent hit yet, keep it grounded man. KEEP RIFFING!!!!!
Rob! I love your approach to tone. I get frustrated when too many people end up turning up the lows to get a "thick" sound when really they're crossing the fine line between "thick" and "muddy" and they lose clarity. I love the sound of mids and the bite I get from treble and I also dime the treble on my overdrive to cut. Same with using thinner strings, I dig 10's...thanks for being so cool
The intro is the most epic thing ever.
Cheer from Mexico Mr. Chappers!! I'm a huge fan!!! Amazing gear by the way!!
4:46 I laughed so hard because of the Steve Vai 360 unintended joke.
This was uploaded on my birthday! keep up the good work man!
my life needs the the Dorje Ep on itunes. Helps get through uni work
Thanks for showing us your rig!..Nice simple set up.
Yep, I went to the ICMP back in 1995 when it was still called the Guitar Institute... I was taught by Shaun Baxter, David Kilminster, Iain Scott and Justin Sandercoe ;-)
Dude! That opening video is AMAZING!!!
"it's even better in the front than in the back"nice!
Cheers Chappers! I'm a fan of yours and your band and I hope that one day my band gets so badass that we'll have the honor of touring with your band.
That says a lot about Chappers when he shows his amp settings. A lot of guys get really secretive about their tone.
I want an ML-3!!! Looks killer. Love my tele but would love if it had a baby with a PRS...that appears to be the ML-3. Schweet!!!
hey rob what software did you use for editing the video? your videos are always great man
Thanks buddy, much appreciated
WIN RIG! Better than Premier Guitar's videos, man! LOVE IT!
That intro is sweet!
I really enjoyed this!
Great upload, I'd like to see PGS or Tone Report upload this to their channel too
I love the Rebecca Dirks shout out.
Haha, I got to be a product tester for those balanced tension strings... Rob, I found them to be an odd feeling thing. How do you care for them? I will be sticking to "normal" sets I think.
Rob really enjoyed the Liverpool gig! just a noob question perhaps? why do you place the mxr boost in the loop rather than at the front end of the amp?
I must have gotten one of the earlier ML3 RC Sigs, 'cause mine is really heavy...and I love it!
I am surprised.. I expected you to use the 'big'brand names like Marschall and effects like the big pro's do. The other day I watched you assemble a pedalboard... Do you use it for the band too or just only for presentations..? What about anno 2015 .. any changes or wishes for the touring gear
Finally Pablo gets the attention he well deserved :D
Love the idea of putting a grid over the amp controls, is it a Pablo-made or it came with the MonsterMamaGloriousHeasFromHell ?
Gotta love the Dirks.
@Gonboo Yes victory amplification is a new company about to launch :-)
I think it's all down to personal preference and comfort at the end of the day. Some people like really heavy guitars, some like light ones and some like a little in between. Hope this helped.
Badass intro Chaps!
Thanks mate ;)
If shipping/insurance didnt cost so much I would do more overseas stuff.
Svee Wheeler does phenomenal work. wish i was in the uk. I have a soloist he could go nuts with!!!
chappers! i have a question! could you, by any chance, do a demo of some seymour duncan pickups? i love seymour duncan pickups but i'm having a hard time deciding which pickups i should put into my guitar. also, i'm genuinely inquiring about why you use seymour duncan. have a victorious day. thanks
and hes at it again
ROB, I LOVE LAMP!!!!
I just need an hour long of Rob doing a Paul Glover impression
who needs Rebecca Dirks when you have Pablo as your tech!
I also use Duncan lil 59 in the bridge of my Tele. Sounds awesome. Gonna try tapping it after watching this
Caught you guys in Newcastle, awesome gig!
How much is that second guitar going to go for? That looks like an awesome bit of kit.
Have you toured before?
It is about personal taste, but it does affect sound. Compare a heavy Les Paul to the lighter Strat. Very different right? Food for thought my friend.
i enjoy seeing pablo and glover! more of 'em! :D
@Lee Wrathe he is a genius and one if the mist hard working guys I know... but Ms Dirks is special :-)
Love the intro song of your vids man, I want to buy that song!
I don't know why I've been subbed so long
love the intro video
Not rob but the order is largely preference.
If you have an effects loop put the gate in there. The TS9 should be first in the chain, the EQ and sonic stomp should go after the drive. Personally I would put the Sonic Stomp in the loop along with the gate and run the TS9 into the EQ in front of the amp.
well explained! thanks for the help
strings and beyond sells single strings, so you can make custom sets without using parts of different sets. Just a suggestion!
Wes is such lovely guy.
Met him at a local gig he was doing photo's at.
you know, after it's been hanging on your back for an hour or two, it's nice to have a lightweight guitar. I love my solid les paul, but sometimes i just have to put it down because it's like having your amp round your neck the heavy git. on a side note, be careful not to throw your strat/tele into orbit when you get caught out by the lightness.
Love the intro \m/
Nice T shirt Chappers!! Alter Bridge Rocks!!
Jesus! Fine! I'll listen to White Dove!
Obviously I'm not Rob, but more than likely so he can get crazy power tube distortion since the line driver is going right into his power amp at the end of the effects loop. Where if he put it before the preamp he would get more preamp distortion, which is good, but hes driving that enough with his gain knob. Power amp tubes just sound different when they distort. (better imo but to each is own)
I love heavy guitars, don't weigth relive your signature!
Rob why you make a gear tour of yourself
Cause Bea and Ben already made one. Now they just have to do Dave the bassist.
Hey chappo when the ML-7 is made do you see yourself writing a Dorje song with it at some point? Or keep the band strictly 6?
thanks man! :)
when does the telcaster style come out? it looks awesome
can someone tell me why people like having heavy guitars? its not like the sound changes or anything, wouldnt you just get a sore neck? anyway love the tour chappers!
Yes, I wanna know it, too!!!
@RobChappers so do you always have a tiny bit of reverb engaged?
What did you think of the tension balanced strings? :)
YOU BEAT ME TO IT
Is the Album going to be available in Canada?
Our wireless gear arrived the day of the tour...
Awesome vids
@JamesRRM Yeah, why not... I'm a nice guy, love my job and my crew... I have a great life and I like to share it with nice people.
The Rabea signerature will be available to the public right?
07:32 one of the greatest lines ever in comedy!
chappers, your are de coolest guy i know :)
3
He's wearing an Alter Bridge shirt!!!! Go Chappers!
So is Victory Amps a new company? Do they have website and other models to check out?
13mins of win!!! It won't be long and Rebecca Dirks WILL be doing your rig rundown Chappers :)
Nice vid, Rob...... Any chance of Bea doing something similar?
Liverpool was a good show, I just wish the audience was more into it...
what pedal would you prefer to go go first, second, third and fourth. i have a bbe sonic stomp, mxr 10 band eq, ibanezts9dx tubescreamer and an mxr smart gate. all these pedals are said to go last in the effects loop.
thanks
Ooh did dave and bea do these to or was it just you?
haha awesome thats me playing at 12:39 :L i had no idea this was gonna be on chappers channel. cheers man :L
Hey Rob you playing a Flying V in the intro. Not mentioned later.
Cheers,
Robin :o)
How many gigs do you play, before you change strings?
RobChappers-Having Guitar Techs all called Paul :D
have you since bought it, then?
Tc electronics ftw, i like how half of chappers board is similar to mine. Unfortunately I cant say the same for my chops.
@Robin Strower at the point of shooting this video I did not own the V :-)
sound does change, for example if I put a duncan distortion in a extremely light guitar the distortion and the light body both add treble response, making the guitar so treble heavy that it will sound shit, on the opposite end a dark, bass heavy pickup in an extremely heavy guitar sounds like your speaker is buried in a mud pit, Chapper's ML-2(heavy guitar) with the duncan distortion in the bridge balances the bridge to a mid range emphasis and the ability to go darker in the neck position.
♪ ♪Awesome channel ♪
Good question! She has quit premier guitar now.
What do you think of the Balanced tension sets?
What song was that at the end? Project at the institute?
Victory amplification? thought it was cornford that made it from what i saw at the gig
College atm is sick!
Yes dude, I know that ;-)
Chappers, does your sig have 24 frets?
