How do you connect the audio output from microfreak to that rhytmizer thing I thought it worked only for midi but also audio? Do you connect the microfreak as midi or audio output?
What about chaining and mixing / re-mixing long sequencers together to form long songs ? What is the best sequencer ? Would the Arturia keystep pro be ok, or would a DAW be more suitable?
Great video! all those arrangements sounded amazing for psytrance (even more along with that gluey kick n subbass). Question, how did you do that random arp, was it on ableton via MIDI? why wasn't with the built-in arp? (Is it to limited for this matter?)
Thanks! The random arp is a midi trigger VST that can randomise the midi notes, velocity, lenght, pitch and more. It's called Rhythmizer 2.0 and can be bought from Futurephonic's website. Indeed the built in arp is limited for this.
You go into your daw - add a midi track - add Rhythmizer to the midi track - But first you need to setup your Microfreak to to your daw (external instrument)
Played this on show at a friendly leeds music shop .I'm a korg guy but found the filter a prob (wasn't looking properly )but the sounded fx and Arp are cool
So them 1st waves arnt originally from the micro freak ?but from serum ,I can do that with my electribe 2 so do I need this synth for Psych trance I've heard its good for certain sounds the robotic sounds are cool
Farty FM bleeps and bloops have ruined psytrance, imo. Needless fingerpainting knob distractions to hide the fact that virtually all music producers have zero melodic music talent. Pleiadians, regroup and save us?
@@Rivessound If you listen to and compare against the greats in Psytrance, you can hear a change in sound around 2000-2002. Prior to that, you would never hear GMS/IM/Koxbox/X-Dream/Eat Static/1200 Mics/SUN Project/Logic Bomb/etc drowning songs in FM bloops and whizzes. Nowadays it seems as all the melodies and progressions are gone, and it's just FX and unimaginative arpreggios. Just ranting.
@@sabamacx Yea I know, I came from oldschool as well.. Trends in music, technology is changing all the time. New inspiration, new things you know.. That's why I produce melodic techno, future garage, chillout and other genres. And I would say regarding the drowning in FM sounds, it all depends on how we arrange our stuff. Because it can become to much, if an artist are not arranging and mixing in properly.
That's pretty impressive to get such a phat sounding track out of that little beasty. Long live Psychedelic dance music.
Ty
Very good totorial. thanks. Looks like its great as dedicated fm/sfx synth for psytrance.

I would say daw for arranging stuff for sure.

@@gregorio_luque Glad you liked it!
@@Rivessound gonna watch this vid later but is the bass lines power ful enough for psych trance ?
Ahh 👍
can anybody send me the suiting wavetables?
DISCOSHAMAN sent me!
Nice bro! 😀
Nice! Do you know any Hardware-option for the rhythmizer.... Like some eurorack module? Thanks a lot!
Yea sure. You have Yarns by Mutable that can handle MIDI-to-CV conversion, MIDI-to-trigger conversion, and MIDI note sequencing..
Thx a lot!

About the wavetables how can I get those. Thanks in advance.
Deception
super cool! you did alle the sounds with the synth also the baseline? and how long does ist take to create your first own Psytrance track?
Thanks. The bassline is made in Serum. It can take one day. It can also take a year if you are lazy or simply donøt have the time or motivation. 🙂

You didn't say HOW you got this sample from THIS Arturia MicroFreak device!
You're a liar!?

That's your opinion. With that comment you don't have a clue :)

@sabamacx Zenon & Kinematic Records are flying the quality psytrance to this day.
Could you recommend some older mixes here on YT?
