Actually that bridge was closed around 1985 I believe. I drove my old 1979 Lincoln across it right before they closed the bridge one Friday afternoon. They told everyone in the paper when it was going to close and everyone should drive across it one last time and I did.

We used to keep our boat at the Marina there back in the late 70s. The place was actually booming for a while then. A couple of floods put an end to that. I would really love to see old pictures of the area then but can never find any. Miss being able to boat up and down the river, when the locks were functional.

I couldn’t quite understand: you expect that the state will do what I’m the near future?
