    Thanks for great reviews, I would call light wind 10-13 knots for light wind and ride 16-18m kites and 145 crazy fly cruiser and switch boards if it picks up past 20 knots. I'm 98kg . My 18m flysurfer sonic foil kite are best but the bridle only last me 3 years before they can not be tuned. There’s the wind you wanna ride and the wind that is actually there. Even my wife ask if I brought Big Kite's, what we call vacation savers. Worldwide best wave sessions always happen on them nobody out ,clean waves, slow and deep in pocket

      I guess I meant light wind in the context of 'big air' & 'big air progression'... I'm trying to get my hands on a 15m juice dlab and a 15m sonic to try to compare those in even lighter stuff though so stay tuned!

    Hi Jason, congratulations as usual for your videos!!! I recently replaced the lines on my 2023 trust bar with a set of North but I can tell you that I feel the difference in terms of responsiveness and drag: duotone performance are unbeatable but everyone knows about issues with durability. So I'm thinking of switching to those of lines smith but it seems that their lines have the same thickness as North : I don't understand what the difference could be. furthermore you don't even understand the difference between the "standard" SK99 and the SK99+; what do you think?

    • @alexcelli2545
      @alexcelli2545 6 месяцев назад +2

      Furthermore, a video comparing different lines lengths, thicknesses and quality of the lines could be interesting... I think it's an underestimated topic compared to how much real difference it makes

    Hey Jason, loved the video! If you do still release the WOO vs Surfr review, which you definitely should, could you maybe include Hoolan on the Apple Watch as well? I’ve used it quite a bit and it‘s very usable. If it is somewhat consistent with WOO and Surfr, I would definitely pick it as it is completely free. Doesn’t have to be in-depth, maybe just a session or two. That would be amazing though. Thank you!

      @@ScaryStoriessYT I downloaded the hoolan ap just now an opened it up, but there are no features at all so I think the app has a long way to go before it is worth comparing it to Woo or Surfr. If it is only Wrist watch based like surfr, I'd say the readings will be the same

      @@jasonofmontreal yes i agree it is a bit of a blank slate, but on the other hand i don’t reaally miss any features from the surfr app. which ones stand out the most for you? I’ve found the PRO jump data on the watch to be pretty irrelevant as it doesn’t pick up anything very well, it might be different on the board. How was your experience with this? for example, i can’t imagine the edging info to be very accurate, the speed always seems to be wayy off and i’ve never had a single rotation get picked up. I agree that the community features are way ahead on surfr but don’t really use those too much. What are your thoughts on that?

    I'm about to start throwing kiteloops over 5m with my set of orbits 8-10-12.
    Considering im around 79kg and 178m tall, what size do you recommend learning kiteloops?
    I did follow your suggestions and i learned the tricks in the order you posted in a past video (how to progress in kiteloop).
    The only thing im missing is what do you recommend and in which condition?

      Definitely the 8m, and ideally in around 22-26 knots I’d say. You just want to be powered enough to jump 7-10m fairly easily. Warm up with a half dozen baby loops then start going bigger when you’re feeling confident

      Probably around 14/15 knots and up. 12/9 is a great combo, depends on your level and the usual conditions.

    • @FinnLiii
      @FinnLiii Месяц назад +1

      From my experience, looking at my 80kg friends I’d say just cruising on a flat water spot with a normal 138-140 tt probably 12-13 kts on a 12m aluula, if you are skilled enough In light wind conditions. If you consider a 13m you can still go with a 9 as your smaller size, aluula kites are pretty good in the high end. I’ve been riding a 14-9 Kombo with vantage vultures for 3 months and it hasn’t been a problem. But it all depends on your likings and what wind range you want to cover with a 2 kite range and what kind of spot you’re typically riding in (flat water or waves, strong current or no current). With a two kite quiver you have to go for some compromise
