Really the review I was looking for, Although I would love to see more examples of a serious painting on ArtFlow vs Autodesk Sketchbook, I was a bit dissapointed to have such an amazing piece of hardware, and so poor options to draw unlike the ipad. But .... I found some videos of another artist, Trent Kaniuga using Autodesk sketchbook Pro, and tho he uses it on desktop, in theory the work style can be translated to the mobile experience. 0:15 "No compromises"? I know people nowadays don't care much, but as a sound designer, the fact that they got rid of the Headphone jack and expandable storage on the Original Samsung S10 Note makes the device very compromised for me.
Well, this is about the Note10+. The headphone jack is the only compromise here. Still, you can buy a relatively affordable portable USB DAC/amp and get a better sound that what the on board can do.
@@anotherkys It's the portable part that makes it interesting and useful. It used to be also about the amount of storage but probably not so much anymore. It's not unlike the advantage of an external hard drive on PC with tons of internal storage.
Someone that ranks airflow at 1?! I've been using airflow for years and not much people recommend it... I don't see why. I love it. It's got everything.. the drawing is smooth. It's got a good UI. Good brushes.. though, I wish I could edit them more. Its NOT free. But for the price, I feel it's worth it. Second I'd recommend is Medibang. Medibangs UI is very weird for me. But I love the options to make folders, it goes more in depth than Artflow. For the price of free too.
I've seen a lot of reviews about Note10 and it was all the same. That's when I started to think when will you make one, and apparently here it is. The first time I see your thumbnail on my recommendation I immediately tap on it and no regret at all. Keep it up man! Also can't wait for new upcoming Samsung tablets review as well.
To enhance the audio from the Budds you have to enable dynamic mode in the wearable app. On the phone turn on adapt sound and configure the equalizer. At last you can turn on Dolby Atmos.
I think UI wasn't his problem but the bloatware and how crowded it is. But the good thing is they no longer slows phones down like they used to but mostly just an eyesore now.
Brad, Can you please try out the Note 10 Plus’ “Dex Mode”? It’s a mode that comes up when you plug the phone into a monitor and turns it into a Desktop PC, and see how the art apps work there? See if any art tablets, or screen tablets (Wacom/Cintiq style tablets) work with that? No one has put out anything regarding this functionality and I’m hoping you can solve this! Thanks in advance ^^.
To answer you on this, it's like using a wacom drawing pad. Its straightforward when you're using it. With DeX and the updated version, you can actually convert your phone into a pad and on your pc, you can open your phone apps and use it for drawing. I can't get it to work on other stuff like paint.net or other apps that uses drawing features. Hopefully there's an update to use your phone as a drawing pad for computers. That would be sick.
Leon Camero I get that the phone itself can be used as a Wacom tablet, but I’ve heard that when in Dex mode, you can actually connect Wacom style tablets and Cintiq style tablets to the phone and use them with art apps. There’s a small amount of info out on it right now and I can’t seem to get a firm video or consensus on that functionality.
I just want you to know I really appreciate your channel and all the thought and hard work you put into all your videos!! hello from the philippines and have a great day to anyone reading this!!

You just got a new subscriber. ;) I am an architect and an interior designer. I use the Note 8. (don't have money to get the 10.) I need the S pen and use it all the time. Cannot imagine my work without it. It is so easy for on site work... For example if I wanna explain some wardrobe design to the carpenter, I just click the picture of the space and draw the wardrobe there and send them the pics. I can also write measurements on them if needed to. I can also design on it. And what not. There are several scenarios where I use the S pen, but don't wanna write an essay here. Lol. Anyway, love what samsung has done with the phone. Except the headphone jack.
Hey Brad, PLEASE take note of this: get the Otterbox Defender case. I promise you won't regret it. It's a big case, which may not appeal to you, but hold your horses and hear me out, because therein lies its utility. Without the case my handwriting becomes illegible after I'm only about halfway across the screen, unless I have the phone on a flat surface rather than being held. The raised/extended sides of the case solve this problem by affording your hand/fingers additional resting space, keeping you steady as you approach the screen's edge. Ergonomically, from the point of view of someone who uses the S Pen a lot for design (albeit relatively amateur) and note taking, it makes an unbelievable difference. It's something I could no longer go without. One minor caveat: cut off the little rubber port covers at the bottom before even putting the case on, with very little use they begin to warp the outer-rubber casing of which they're a part. It's easy enough to do this with a decent pair of scissors, gives a nice clean cut, you wouldn't know they'd even been there. I learnt this the hard way with my Note 8, even after cutting them off the damage had been done and gradually it worsened. With my current Note 9 however I snipped them off immediately and all is well. And again, if it seems like too big a case, trust me, you quickly grow accustomed. Once you have it'll actually make the phone itself feel almost undersized if taken out to clean or for whatever purpose. Oh and the false touch issue? Not a problem with this case. Plus it's a bloody good case all-round. In fact, if you buy one and don't find it as incredibly useful as I do, I promise to personally reimburse the cost via whatever means of payment you prefer. Being 100% serious, that's how confident I am in it.

I have this phone and love it too. Like you Brad, I did customize it to work better. That you can make a note with the phone off is great for a reminder note! Also, it has an amazing panoramic mode that you can move around while taking the photo...which I used to illustrate how animals see...like a near 360 shot...Took a lot of memory, but that is easy to fix for print up etc. It turned out fantastic for our Nature display! Anyway, I do love the phone, the screen is amazing...and it lasts all day long..! LOVE IT. Looked a long time for a phone I might want ...and spend all that money on...so, I had better LOVE it! Not really worried about bezels and notches, a child of the 70/80's I appreciate how far we have come, so beautification of something as functional as a smartphone does not pop up on my radar. In fact, having the notch or bezel allows for extra added features and I am all for that. Whereas Samsung is killing useful stuff left, right and centre, Google with the Pixel 4 will have 3D Face-ID, Soli, depth sensors, wide-angle, front speaker, etc. Give me that rather than a selfie camera hole that I never use, and would rather them just go notchless, than disturb my zen. Ive had the Note 4 since 2014 and have had no interest in upgrading (removable battery, headphone jack, no bixby) The pen is too small and it's more like a digital notepad for quick sketches on the go, and even then id rather break out the ipad. I use it to take pictures of my fish these days :P
This stylus is not compatible with any other android phone, Only note series or any other series that have this pens called "S-pens" what makes this pens work is partly because of the pen technology and partly because of a special aluminum panel that is integrated on the screen detecting where the pen is being tapped on , on the screen, and software of course
Samsungs UI2 is getting better all the time with GoodLuck app its amazing how far you can go customzing everything on your mobile, I use to hate Samsung's UI especially models before the S8 but now it's grown on me and I love it way over simple plain Adroid UI
To be fair, Samsung Pay has a nice feature that neither Apple Pay nor Google Pay have: it can work with any traditional terminal by simulating the swipe of a card via MST.
Dude... Turn on line smoothing! Lol I think every one of those drawing apps you named has that feature. I'm pretty sure iPad/Procreate has line smoothing enabled by default which is why people swear by it.
even tho you're reviewing it for art you're still a great reviewer. no garbage or trying to sell it just helpful comments for actual people considering it! also i bought the normal note cause the note+ IS SO FREAKING HUGE and now i regret it cause there's no space to draw on :( but at least i can use this as an actual phone cause it's smaller
I had to put a cover on the earlier versions. Do NOT like the edges. There's no way to prevent accidental launching of programs. You end up being to finger tips only holding the phone which results in more dropping.

What makes a great artist is the will power to adapt to any canvas or instrument, if you can't master the note then you must learn to do so to be a great artist.
I highly recommend the Note's for digital artists, I've been using a note 5 for 4 years and it still gets the job done, wacom's touch on the pen is amazing~ 👌 I definetely might get better on new phones tho (?
Great review! Thanks! I’ll be picking mine up tomorrow 😁 Have you thought about using the Selfie cam screen recording feature to make a video while you are drawing on it? Would love to see a video or a livestream!
This video was fun to watch - and a whole new take on a phone that's been reviewed to death in the past couple of weeks. I'm glad to be a new subscriber. P.S: Is it just me, or is RUclips getting better at recommending new stuff?😊
hey Brad!! thanks for the video, I really wanna know, is it worthy upgrade, if you have a note 9 to the note 10? noticed any big difference in drawing or photo? and you have a iPad to draw, you pick your note 10 to draw sometimes? or mehh, if you have a iPad and Apple Pencil, you don't need the Galaxy notes?
Hi Brad, New here, Im planning to buy a new phone (note mainly because of the pen). What do you think is better ipad mini (2019), ipad pro 11 or note for sketching? or should I get an ipad mini for sketching and a budget smart phone? Please let me know your thoughts.
I would definitely wanna see a review for the Tab A w/S Pen(2019) version as well. As an "Artist" I would LOVE to get this one if it wasn't EXPENSIVE AF for me since I only have a "Bare Minimum" salary grade. That's why I would PREFER the Tab A w/S Pen(2019)
Brad you're hilarious 😂. Btw. Can you do an artist take on the new samsung tab s6? 👍 *Edit: I read your comment below and you have already ordered one. Can't wait for the full review!
Hey, I really like your content! They're a ton of help. I can't wait for your review on Galaxy Tab S6. It's the only thing I'm waiting before I decide whether I'm gonna get one or not.
This video is the most hilarious preview for a smartphone ever.... You're pretty chill dood. 😂 Can I get some help though? I can't seem to find the full resolution of the wallpapers from yupnguyen. Is it on Twitter or does he have a website?
Good review. I'm also concerned about the bloatware in Samsung smartphones. Only app I prefer to Google alternatives is the Internet browser. It is solid, fast, can have as blockers installed
I have a question that I've been thinking about and wanted to get your perspective...do you feel iOS is slightly more professional looking? Like the menus, icons, control center, etc....There's no doubt, the screen is incredible, but there's something cartoonish about the whole Samsung phone compared to an iPhone. Thoughts?
I'm not a fan of Samsung's icons and overall design. But Google's bare bone android is really nice and I think stands toe to toe visually with what Apple is doing with their interface.
Brad Colbow I love the physical design and screen of the Samsung, but you’re right. I may wait until the Pixel 4 is released before I make my decision. Thanks.
Zach Jacks this is true, but I usually stay with stock to get the benefits from the company. But what launcher do you recommend that would give more of a professional feel?
Hi, can you help me? Think I will get the Samsung Tab S4 as my first thing to draw on, but then I installed Krita 4.2 on my PC and it need a drawing board to be useful, so my question is if it is posible to use the Tab S4 with the PC through the USB and with some sort of magical hack? Btw; do not say totally free when a app contains adverts to annoy users to pay to get rid of them.
One main reason there is a samsung version aswell as an Android version is because Samsung either does it before mainstream Android and they adopt it later but naturally gets more popular because of the other phones using android. N then few years down you suddenly have 2 apps that do the same thing.... Orrr.. because they do a more feature packed version than the Android one
My phone and iPad have both been smashed within the last week. I still have the apple pencil 1st generation. I'm on a relatively strict budget and I'm considering either getting an iPad cellular and using it as my only mobile device or buying the note 9 or note 10 plus using it as my mobile device and my only platform for digital art. Any suggestions or thoughts?
I hope you can make a review on the new XP-Pen Artist Pro's (12 and 13.3) before their anniversary sale ends. I'm wondering if I should get one as they look like very good options. I've yet to find a review from someone I trust, and your reviews would definitely fill that role.
I've tried both. Samsung apps have better features that are missing on Google's apps. In addition to that Samsung app designs fit the Galaxy phone hardware design better than Google's. In addition to that Google apps are not well optimized for dark mode. When you apply dark mode on Galaxies, all system Samsung apps change unlike Google's on a pixel.

I know ArtFlow has that feature.
nice pace, personal likes, real world examples and great scripting. I enjoyed your craft presentation, sir
Thanks!
By far the funniest tech review I've watched. Love it!!
To be fair, Samsung Pay has a nice feature that neither Apple Pay nor Google Pay have: it can work with any traditional terminal by simulating the swipe of a card via MST.
Bought a Note 9 6 months ago, not much to really compare between the two
Top review as always.
How has the battery hold up on your note 9? And lag on OneUI? Snapdragon or Exynos?
@@mdrahman6732 Battery life is fine. Normal use I get about 2 -3 days off one charge. Heavy gaming , (as in 4 hours constant) 1 days worth.
This was the Galaxy Note 10 review I was waiting for.
"The Plus' name is 'Kanye,' because it's always interrupting me."
😂😂😂😂
I had to put a cover on the earlier versions. Do NOT like the edges. There's no way to prevent accidental launching of programs. You end up being to finger tips only holding the phone which results in more dropping.
Hi Brad, can you also make a review for note 10 lite?
Looking forward for your upcoming videos, really detailed and not boring to watch.
I had to come and drop a comment. You're hilarious. No one is doing tech videos like you. 😂😂
A new subscriber here.
I always watch at least 5 videos at first before I decide to subscribe.
Well I'm sold although I only watched 3 of them so far.
The hp zbook video is my all time favorite video of yours.
The video works are getting better and better btw.
Cheers brad.
What makes a great artist is the will power to adapt to any canvas or instrument, if you can't master the note then you must learn to do so to be a great artist.
I highly recommend the Note's for digital artists, I've been using a note 5 for 4 years and it still gets the job done, wacom's touch on the pen is amazing~ 👌
I definetely might get better on new phones tho (?
I was waiting for this!
Thanks and I LOVE the avatar :D
@@thebradcolbow haha! I like your drawings 😆
Great review! Thanks! I’ll be picking mine up tomorrow 😁
Have you thought about using the Selfie cam screen recording feature to make a video while you are drawing on it? Would love to see a video or a livestream!
This video was fun to watch - and a whole new take on a phone that's been reviewed to death in the past couple of weeks. I'm glad to be a new subscriber.
P.S: Is it just me, or is RUclips getting better at recommending new stuff?😊
Love a review from a real user for real users specs mean nothing the experience is everything
when comes to note series..all generic reviewer are total bullshit..
Yeah, i work in a printing department and when people tell me they've emailed it from Yahoo i'm always like "WAAAAAAAh"
hey Brad!! thanks for the video, I really wanna know, is it worthy upgrade, if you have a note 9 to the note 10? noticed any big difference in drawing or photo? and you have a iPad to draw, you pick your note 10 to draw sometimes? or mehh, if you have a iPad and Apple Pencil, you don't need the Galaxy notes?
Hi Brad, New here, Im planning to buy a new phone (note mainly because of the pen). What do you think is better ipad mini (2019), ipad pro 11 or note for sketching? or should I get an ipad mini for sketching and a budget smart phone? Please let me know your thoughts.
Omg! love loved your review!!! Totally different from all the others! Thank you!
Lately I've been doing a lot of pixel art so one of my favorite art apps is pixel studio
Brad you're hilarious 😂.
Btw. Can you do an artist take on the new samsung tab s6? 👍
*Edit: I read your comment below and you have already ordered one. Can't wait for the full review!
He already did.
nice review! your my go to tech guy for art / design / drawing tech stuff :D
Hey, I really like your content! They're a ton of help. I can't wait for your review on Galaxy Tab S6. It's the only thing I'm waiting before I decide whether I'm gonna get one or not.
So.. Is there a matte protector for this?
Also, Brad, would a tb s3/4 be good for the purpose of learning digital art? Not to work professionally.
It is solid, fast, can have as blockers installed
curious of how drawing on a galaxy tab s6 feels like
On my Note 8, in Autodesk Sketchbook there's a Pen Mode. it wont let you draw with you finger (or palm)
Thanks.
Brian you can just install a new launcher if you don’t like samsungs
Zach Jacks this is true, but I usually stay with stock to get the benefits from the company. But what launcher do you recommend that would give more of a professional feel?
I've watched this video 10 times already or even more. You rock, Brad 🔥
A fan from Nigeria
This is the Note 10 review I have been waiting for!!
HE EVEN CREDITS THE ARTIST OF THE WALLPAPER.... BEST MAN.
I’m getting this....don’t remember when was the last time using headphone jack....oh ya since discovered Bluetooth headphones
Great review Brad, always enjoy your stuff!
Thanks John!
This was an awesome review! Luv luv luv the animations, sequences, and the humor 😂
Your video is absolutely refreshing to watch. 💛
Subscribed.Good luck with your channel.
Thanks!
Excellent video thanks man. Also what are the names of your phones themes?👍🏻👏
Hi Brad, try out the Huawei Mate 20 X, a 7.2 inch phone which works with a wackom pencil.
Awesome phone, amazing speakers, camera, and good value.
Hey great video. Just curious what is your daily driver?
Yay, was just waiting for this and here it is :D
I seen so many reviews on the note 10 plus but this the best one
Pre-Ordered my Tab S6 today! looking forward to your review!
