Tesla - Pretend to Save the Environment While Looking Rich
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 фев 2020
- Owning a Tesla is the best way to pretend to save the environment while looking rich. Tesla owners are not only the biggest fans of Elon Musk, but they also know that owning a six figure electric car that's very taxing on the environment is the best way to care for the environment.

Owning a Tesla "Makes me feel like I Feed the hungry, without giving them any food." 😂😂😂
That’s the one that got me lol
Lol!

1:48 “You no longer have to do something admirable to be admired.” - Sums up modern life perfectly.
depends on what part of the country you're in. it's really simple actually- if they have "no child left behind" at your school? MOVE. because at that school? so that "no child gets left behind".. they just dumb down the curriculum so that NO ONE gets ahead. it's progressive. it's the CA way.
@trojan baseball take a breath 'moron'... complete sentences please. if you'd like- I could send you a copy of hooked on phonics.
sad truth
@@Darya777K if you work for chevron? yah. it's sad. I feel sorry for all those people who work for big oil... legacy auto sales people, ice vehicle mechanics, pipe fitters who work on refineries, thousands of jobs- GONE. but with that- lots & lots of new jobs too. the truly sad part?
legacy auto & big oil COULD HAVE kept it- KEPT IT ALL.. if they just hadn't over reached. you see- big oil & legacy auto? they don't just not want tesla to succeed.. they want to squash ANYONE who makes cars more efficient & longer lasting- THERE! right THERE! lies the ENTIRE RUB.
it's not about pollution, or mining or slavery or the power grid... all that kind of talk is just a magician's slide of hand- a distraction to turn your attention away from the REAL issue at hand.
4 GOOD EXAMPLES:
#1- ev's- 40 years ago a brilliant scientist named Stanford Ovshinsky invented the nickel metal hydride battery- for use in EV's. GM used it in the EV1, leased it- then: on big oil's command- they recalled all the leases- AND CRUSHED THEM. then texaco bought the battery patents- and shelved them.
#2- remember the 1970's so - called 'oil shortage'... a façade created to raise the price of gasoline- amc took the 'pacer' and installed a sterling steam engine in it- a sterling engine will run on ANYTHING that burns. at the same time, GM came out with the olds 98 diesel & many other diesel vehicles, mercedez benz started selling more diesels. the whole market was getting away from high gas prices and then? oh it's a miracle- no more gas shortage. and AMC crushed their plans for the sterling pacer- on you- know who's orders.
#3- RIGHT NOW! a company called achates power took an old opposed piston ww2 aircraft diesel engine- modernized it and installed one in a pickup truck for ford- an F-150. it pollutes less than our best current technology- both gas & diesel. it gets 30% better economy while also getting 30% better power to weight ratio.
and NONE OF THESE WILL EVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY.
WHY?
because you & I see 30% better fuel economy..
big oil just sees 30% loss in sales.
AND THAT is why BIG OIL, will soon be small oil.
#4- in 1963- chevrolet built sedans with 283 & 327 cubic inch v-8 motors that could get as high as 26mpg.. and would last beyond 700k even 1 million miles. you see... they KNOW how to build the most excellent cars-
BUT? they will not. AND THAT is why legacy auto HAS TO GO. so yes- millions of jobs gone. if you work for toyota or honda or any of the other legacy auto makers? my advise to you? find a job with an auto maker that is 100% all in on ev's. or ? just wait for the great lay-off.
in fact- if legacy auto spent HALF their advertising budget on new innovations instead of working with BIG OIL to STIFLE EVERY SINGLE new innovation? TESLA would have never even came into existence in the first place.
@@jaybee3165 Totally man, Can you believe that we have amazing technologies to avoid car accidents with special motion sensors installed, but it seems like an inconvenient activity, and although with great investments in advertising, the car producers don't give a rat ass about actual people safety. Frankly, it looks like they'd rather have people die. We live in a fake upside down world full of lies and paradoxes, and I'm glad that JP gives his take on it. It is funny and a bit sad.

Last year here in Australia, we had a convoy of environmentalists showing up for a rally in a rural town. A mine was to be opened about 50 miles away. The locals, many of who were looking at construction, logistics, and supply jobs at the mine, didn't appreciate wealthy folks in Teslas showing up in a rural community with high unemployment.
@@jonathantan2469 I don't care for the environmentalist's more radical element. I like solar, battery tech and ev's because it offers an alternative- a new option. as a believer in the bible & creationism... I know this planet is GOING TO BURN. so trying to 'save it'... well.. it's kind of a pointless venture. I get what you mean though. near the little town where I grew up, tree huggers were protesting a gravel mine (granite). of course, being in the south... they didn't get far. basicly, the governor gave them the finger and it ended there, as it should. if coal mines & oil wells can compete with solar & batteries? good for them. I say go for it. most musk fans don't like hearing that- and I don't care. the benefit of having Elan & Tesla is that it FINALLY forces the automotive industry & big oil (one in the same entity) to stop screwing with consumers. 'smog controls'.. are mandated at the behest of big oil to decrease the life span of cars and to increase the amount of fuel and parts they need. nothing more. the epa is just a stooge. having EV's means that consumers can now say: "fine- make ice cars anything you want them to be... but if you can't match the longevity, cheap operating cost & reliability of EV's? then you're out.
There's countless EV put downs on U-Tube, but this is the most effective and humorous one yet !
Good job JP, very precise observations, and a great video. I still see in 2022 Tesla owners driving their cars around wearing masks, and I think about what the great generation would think about their descendants' behaviors.
I've held TSLA stock for 4-1/2 yrs. Every single day I have been gathering info. I can tell you 95% of Tesla fans are not talking about saving the world. It's a fun, engaging company that has made me a millionaire. I'm sitting in my Ford F-150 right now. Love this truck.

I lost count on how many cows Ive slaughtered in the time I wasnt driving a Tesla.
Decay? Then it isn't radioactive. Actually, it depends where the material is on the radionuclide decay chain.
JP has TWO Teslas, so he's saving the environment twice as hard!

OMG! I tagged the bumper of one while parallel parking yesterday. You should’ve seen the reaction from the owner. He said I “crushed” his car. He acted holy’er than thou. There wasn’t even a scratch! I looked at him and I said “nothing but a bunch of bugs on that bumper”. Felt like pulling a Towanda on him with my truck. There you go now its crushed! Lol
The glass breaking sound at 1:29 made me rewatch that part to make sure nothing actually broke in my own kitchen. And there was no glass breaking sound. I accidentally turned on the wrong stove and an Ikea plate that was on it heated up and broke.

I'm still not 100% convinced that this wasn't a Tesla Advertisement!!
They're not using an iPhone to record, notice on tight shots you don't see the reflection of anyone in the car's windows - cuz they are shooting at least 10' away. Also, excluding interior shots, the lighting on all exterior car shots was pretty well balanced. With the editing as well, pretty much over produced like everything American.
Yea'... I want the white one. 😂
Yep! No skin off Elon's back to give the guy 2 Teslas for a million views!!!!
Does it matter?
@@yescarlett I suppose not, but I was just trying to emphasize that publicity is publicity regardless of sarcastic intonation. And your typical Tesla owner may full well enjoy that there is such a fuss being made about their car! Kinda builds on the whole egotistical enviroshame persona!
Look, no one was going to buy electric cars if they weren’t appealing. It’s a win-win for the person purchasing a Tesla for their car to both be super appealing while also keeping our air clean. Tesla did a great job letting their vehicles speak for themselves, and now everyone wants one.
I am a tesla owner, feel much better now after watching this 😎
The best part of owning a Tesla: you can always use your other gasoline-powered car when your Tesla is broke or not charged.

Another great video, but as a Geologist I want to point out what's missing. Geologist finds a lithium deposit and to confirm economic viability it needs to be drilled. Environmentalists fight for years in court to stop the drilling. We achieve permits for drilling and discover it is economically viable so we seek permits for mining. Environmentalists fight for years in court to stop the mining--all these court fights raise the cost of the mining the lithium. We win and heavy equipment moves in, all fueled by diesel engines to mine the lithium. AT LAST !!! The environmentalists have a lithium battery for their green car that has the carbon footprint of a freight train--Environmentalists are literally the dumbest people on earth.
I am a geotechnical engineer. The reason they protest is because companies have ruined the reputation of the construction industry. Since making money is more important than anything else, too many companies cut corners and don't follow protocols to make more money. They end up causing many issues like groundwater contamination, landslides, explosions, etc... and then when they get caught their 5 million dollar lawyers get them out of it and the public (landowner, tax payer) foots the bill.
Try explaining that to a electric car owner. Its like talking to a brick wall with a learning disorder.

The only serious complaint I have about JP is the length of his hair. Everything else is spot on! 🤣🤣🤣
JP, awesome video my friend! As a Tesla owner, I can’t argue with most of your points. To me (to add on to your comment), the most annoying thing about owning a Tesla is being forced to communicate with the service department via text. I’ve had multiple unnecessary service visits (and hours of my time wasted) that could have been avoided if I was able to talk to a human on the phone. When asked why I own a Tesla and spent that kind of money for a car (MS Plaid), my response is #1- Getting to drive in the HOV lane by myself (EV license plate). I have to drive through Atlanta to/ from work. The HOV lane saves at least 15 min round trip, not to mention my sanity. #2- Available EV parking spots at work, assuming someone in a non-EV has taken one😉. #3 Performance. “liquefying your kidneys,” as you put it, and feeling an instantaneous 1100 lbs of torque, on occasion, is a lot of fun. Not to mention taking your friends “for a ride.” #4- Technology. I can appreciate advancements in technology (my job depends on it). BTW, you forgot to mention the fart machine, and the “world’s most expensive video game” is part of the entertainment package intended to be used while you’re at a supercharger. #5- cost of ownership (outside of purchase price) is basically next to nothing (maybe $50/ month extra on the electric bill, and tires), especially compared to other cars in that price range (whose owners fear to use those cars as daily drivers). #6- being able to “refuel, gas up” in my garage every night (it’s allowed… I live in GA, not CA 😆). #7-99- Reserved. TBD. #100- Actually thinking that owning a Tesla is remotely doing anything to save the planet! What is so ridiculous is that in California they’re forcing everybody to buy EV’s, but you can’t charge them for fear of overloading the grid🙄. Safe charging😉
