Hi Chris. Really enjoyed following along with your build of this magnificent model. Been with you since the beginning and hope to see more on your channel soon. Best regards from across the Pond. Ray L.
Well done chris, glad to see Deagostini held true to finishing this star wars line whic gives me a new hope ;P that the R2D2 venture we all now of will get to the finished product. Missed this when released but very much picking up R2 hope to see you along for the ride with Deagostinis R2D2 Chris.
Congratulations on your engagement, hope you've settled in the 2nd house and the new job is working out well. Just want to say it's been a fantastic journey following your build videos over the last 2 years. Your Millennium Falcon is a masterpiece. Thank you very much for all your kind resources, time and effort taken in guiding on the build with your tips and advice. Having kept all 100 issues, I will now with eager anticipation finally be embarking upon my Falcon construction. Hope it turns out as good as yours. Good luck.
Been with you since the beginning. THANK YOU for sticking with it and documenting the whole thing. You're the only one who has. You've really helped with some dos and don'ts for when I start my subscription, and I've already been brainstorming on some other fun mods. Thank you again. It's been a very enjoyable 2 years with you.
Awesome! Slightly disappointed that you didn't show off the Falcon with all the lights running and a shot of the ramp opening and closing. Really interested in seeing how the new landing lights from Hollands that you installed look. Any chance we can see that in a future video? All the lights running, panels opened with shots of the interior and such? Good job!
CHRIS! I've finally got all my shit sorted after moving twice during the collecting of all the issues and I'm finally getting ready to start my build. It turns out that somewhere in my travels I lost the boxes for months 11 and 12 but I reordered 11 and 12 is on back order so hopefully that won't take too long to get here. Also finally started my R2 build and I did months 1 - 13 in just a couple of days and I'm now jonesing for month 14 to get here. Also, also started my Delorean build... aaaand I just realized that I'm ranting...
Wow, I can't believe it is all done. 2 years as been a long time. I am still waiting to get started building mine as well. You have inspired me to do a video log of it on my channel. I have a 3/4 of the issues already, so I will be able to build it over time and always have something to do. Great series. I hope you find something else to do videos for. More Star Wars models perhaps.
I'd use a hair-dryer/heat gun to heat up the warped part and reshape it slightly, apart from that good job! I'm only halfway through building mine since I'v waited till I had every issue before I begun but I'v already encountered 2 warped parts that I'v had to fix with that method. Not a big issue though.
Where you had a gap at the top left of your octagonal piece due to frame warp over 2 years, I had a gap at the bottom right, on both sides due to frame warp over 2 years and 7 months. Why has it taken me an extra 7 months to get this far? Because DeAgostini kept sending me faulty LED strips that had blown leds amongst the working ones. After many many replacements of issues 87 and 88 I finally got two working strips. Also, the hull plating that covers the interior thanks to magnetic bolts no longer wants to fit in place flush with the rest of the panelling, again thanks to warping. Oh well. I'll live. A bit late to do anything about it now all the side bits are glued into place.
hi there well done, Just one thing thou, you have put the rods for the ramp the wrong way around the bigger ones should be at the front, you will find you ramp will not lower
Will there be another video showing how the Holland lighting is now working on your falcon.. You could have done a special hour edition for the finale..I was a bit dissappointed because you worked hard on this lighting and it wasn't shown.. I was proud to be a patron and enjoyed the videos Chris..
I have a question for you Chris.... How on earth do you seperate those tiny magnets that go in the landing gear panels? It's a total nightmare. Edit: NVM. Found a way by very carefully 'cutting' them apart with scissors.
Great build, a pity about the location of the AC plug, you'd think DeAgostini would have mounted it on the opposite side rather than have it on the same side as the boarding ramp ie; the display side Will you be doing the R2D2 build?
LMFAO!!!!! He Says "Im Not Sure If Duracell is a UK Only Brand, So I don't know if that's the same in Australia, the States, China, or Whatever" lol Chris, Duracell is one of the 2 Largest Battery manufacturers in the whole world, besides Energizer.
follow this link (if it works) & look a R2's head top left circle & you should see Luke's Lightsaber. www.deagostini.com/uk/collections/build-your-own-R2-D2/?Promotional_Newsletters_UK_DEAG_20161208&Email&R2D2_Preorder
Michael Scruton I've received my first two r2d2 parts last Friday it looks amazing I will be doing a video of making it eventually and the led display is different
Their model looks different from the Lucas SCREEN USED Falcon (they made several, but the original had model decals and much lighter paint). See my photo album from the actual film used models: facebook.com/Ryno93/media_set?set=a.4167767785837.169411.1033467418&type=3

De Agostini has just add the TV advert to the web site, it looks amazing!
Funny that the air lock is the part that had the bad fit.

I built the deagostini millennium falcon and now building the starwars x wing now
Up to 39 here in Australia. So Still ages to go yet. I don't know why they staggered the release. Supply issues maybe?
You are lucky in 5 month i have only received 8 issues . with invoices say out of stock or on back order
I alway stare at my falcon. its been a pain sometimes, but its a big achievement, working on a second one :)
I have a question for you Chris.... How on earth do you seperate those tiny magnets that go in the landing gear panels? It's a total nightmare. Edit: NVM. Found a way by very carefully 'cutting' them apart with scissors.

Terrible botch job on weathering all the grill parts, what could have been fine detailed grime, now looks like a black blur.
