I think "Unnamed & Untamed" switched from the USHRA Unlimited Tractor Tire Mud class to become a Monster Truck in 1991, but still that was an unusual seating position for the driver sitting where the engine and clutch would normally be.
The Unlimiteds were much heavier than the Super Mods and in the unlimited class, any tire size above 48" were allowed including Farm tractor tires. Super Mods were limited to tires below 48" and had to be US Department of Transportation street legal tires but can be altered in any fashion
@@cfoster81 I'm thinking of this through the brain of a tractor pulling enthusiast, mud bogging had a minimum weight, correct? That's why heavier rigs can run in the light class? In tractor pulling it's the other way around, you can run with less weight in a heavier class, but not more weight in a lighter class, since weight is an advantage, not disadvantage

What exactly is the difference between the super mods and unlimiteds? Trucks from the unlimiteds seem to run with the super mods too
