They won a Grammy award for Dystopia. When they won some crappy version of Metallicas master of puppets played in the background. What a disgrace! Grammy never respected metal.
@@jimthar17 You miss out on Seven. Amazing songwriting and musicianship on this. That bass line kills. Wanderlust is very good too and Tine The beginning.. Doctor is Calling is catchy. Risk isn't metal but is full of great songwriting.

I’ve been listening to Risk lately and it’s actually much better than I remember. It’s pop metal but it’s well done. The nuggets issue is Dave’s voice doesn’t go with the music. They should’ve taken an even bigger Risk and gotten a real singer for that experiment.
My order: 1. Rust in peace 2. Peace sells 3. Countdown 4.Killing is my business 5.Youthanasia 6.So far so good I haven't listened much of any of the other lineups, but those 6 are so good
I’d bring Cryptic Writings up, anything with Mustaine/Ellefson/Friedman/Menza is gold to me! It’s kind of interesting that the best two are also the two coolest covers from Ed Repka!
I haven't listened to much after "The World Needs a Hero." I love the guy but Dave's politics got a little too right wing for me. I do think Cryptic Writings is an underrated album that I would on par with Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia.
Why do people put 'The System Has Failed' so far down on their lists? I get that it was originally supposed to be a Mustaine solo album, but the album is great none the less. Very underrated in my opinion.
@@keithschick9960 Rust In Peace is phenomenal but I respect musicians who experiment instead of rehashing the same material again and again. Bands like AC/DC, Slayer and Motorhead all did very well that way but it's cool when bands go out of their comfort zone and still make great songs.
Amen! The 2004 remastes/remixes are horrendous, with perhaps the sole exception of SFSGSW, that one's decent to have alongside the original. Fortunately pre-2004 pressings aren't too hard or too expensive to get, though. Or at least they weren't when I updated my Megadeth collection for the older pressings. KIMB however is pricier if you want an old pressing with "These Boots" present _and_ uncensored. Shame the 2002 remaster has that godawful, unlistenable bleeped version of "Boots", and the 2018 version has an awkward reworked version with original lyrics to appease Lee Hazlewood's estate.
I agree... the exceptions ( for me) are SFSGSW and Killing is My Business. Killing NEEDED a makeover. I grew to appreciate SFSGSW without so much reverb/ delay effects.
Robert Leese there’s a good remaster of TWNAH and The System Has Failed out recently that’s not a remix but just a remaster and actually makes both albums sound better. The drums have more depth and the guitar has more bite. Listen to Kick the Chair 2019 remaster on RUclips and check it out or Dread and the Fugitive Mind 2019 remaster. Both sound better than the original and weren’t messed with by Mustaine but by a professional mastering engineer.
As far as bands that don’t have a single stinker album, in my humble opinion, The Ramones would fall in that category. Every album was what you’d expect, more Ramones.
1. Rust in Peace (1990) 2. Peace Sells (1986) 3. Countdown to Extinction (1992) 4. Youthanasia (1994) 5. The System Has Failed (2004) 6. So Far So Good So What (1988) 7. Dystopia (2016) 8. The Sick, The Dying & The Dead (2022) 9. Endgame (2009) 10. Killing Is My Business...(1985) 11. Cryptic Writings (1997) 12. Th1rt3en (2011) 13. United Abominations (2007) 14. The World Needs A Hero (2001) 15. Risk (1999) 16. Super Collider (2013)
1. Countdown To Extinction 2. Rust In Peace 3. So Far, So Good... I'm just a sucker for the Menza/Ellefson/Friedman-era. Their musicianship was unmatched in the "trash" scene at the time IMHO.
Kick the Chair is among the best songs they ever did post 95. And the 2019 remaster actually makes it sound better, particularly the drums since that albums original master sounded crappy.
I actually dislike Super Collider more than Risk. Risk is the kind of laughable trainwreck that I enjoy quite a bit, if I want a good laugh. Super Collider just has the sad dad vibes that I dislike. Something as ridiculous as The Doctor's Calling just makes me crack up, while the old man stuff on Super Collider just bores me
Ok, so I guess I'm part of the small minority that actually likes the Risk album. Is it classic thrash Megadeth? No, but that doesn't make it a bad metal/hard rock album in and of itself. I happen to really like Dave's vocals, and this is a strong album in that respect with loads of catchey hooks that I find myself singing along to. And if you listen to the last 2 or 3 albums leading up to this one you can hear the progession that led to Risk. I guess I like this one for the same reason I like Rush's Signals... because it was so different from anything they had done up to that point. Unfortunately (IMHO) Rush continued down that path, where as for Megadeth it was one and done... they got it out of their system and then moved on. If nothing else, I find Risk to me more memorable than the 6 or so albums since then that kinda all sound like the same formula and all run together in my mind. To each his own.
Not their most consistent album, but there's a bunch of quite good songs there, it just doesn't quite sound like a Megadeth album. It would have likely gotten a much better reception had it been released under another moniker.
I was never a real "Metal head" but I bought Countdown to Extinction when it came out after seeing them on a UK TV show ,either Raw Power or Noisy Mothers. Loved every track , still like to listen to it occasionally . Architecture For Aggression always blew me away when the lead guitar comes in. I bought all the ltd edition vinyl singles at the time, still got em. Later I bought Peace Sells ..but never enjoyed it at all.
Here's my top 5: 1) Rust In Peace 2) Peace Sells 3) Countdown To Extinction 4) Endgame 5) Youthanasia For me, Rust In Peace is the greatest thrash album I've ever heard, front to back it's a masterpiece, Peace Sells isn't far behind.
Don't know any post 2000 albums so I'll trust your words. However, I must be the only one who really likes Cryptic Writings (even metal expert Martin Popoff gives it a so-so). All I can say is you throw the disc on and it sounds great start to finish! Not heavy enough?? Anyway your top 2 are excellent and both very memorable. I remember the first time I heard Peace Sells; guitars were doing battle, coming at you from all angles. Truly a new technical assault of the senses! Mustaine should be remembered for his innovation
Megadeth..... Titan Of metal in the 80’s and early 90’s. 1) Rust in Peace 2) Killing Is My Business 3) Peace Sells 4) So Far So Good So What 5) Countdown To Extinction.
Rust in Piece Peace Sells But Who’s Buying? So Far, So Good, So What? Youthanasia Countdown to Extinction (I go back and forth on the first two and last two)
Rust In Peace is my favorite Megadeth album. Top 5 would be: 1. Rust In Peace 2. Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? 3. So Far, So Good... So What! 4. Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! 5. Countdown To Extinction
On The System Has Failed, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta brought a level of sophistication not often found on the typical thrash album. Over the course of one weekend, he learned all of the songs and recorded perfect takes - this simply blew Mustaine's mind. Chris Poland returned to record on that album simply because Colaiuta was involved.
There’s really something to be said about some of the song structures on Rust. I mean look at Five Magics, it listens almost like a story. Doesn’t follow a tradition verse/chorus structure. So cool, so unique. They really captured lightning in a bottle on the record. Peace Sells and Rust trade 1 and 2 spots for me nearly everyday. Just insane records
Peace Sells does that too. The opening track Wake Up Dead has no repeating parts at all, every time there's a change in the song it's a new riff. From the beginning to the end. And it's still catchy as hell.
jim g I do remember that as well, because Lars stated Dave felt comfortable in what he was doing at the time and that he should take a Risk, glad they never stuck with that shit
Letting Lars Ulrich take up space in his head for so long was a probably one of the most foolish things (from a career standpoint) Dave did. Ulrich was clearly a Machiavellian little tool from the word go. Living well, & doing well is the best revenge. Especially when the guys you thought were your friends, stab you in the back, & have written you off as fuck-up & a no-talent.
@@Omar_E11 Uh, no Omar. He didn't. Not personally. It's just that I'm not a big fan of people who tend to be 2 faced. Don't know if you ever read any part of Dave Mustaine's memoir. (It's a great read btw. Whether or not you're a fan, I recommend it highly). I do know from it, & other interviews in other publications, that for a good many years Lars dissed Dave's playing for a long time After he formed Megadeth. But in the late 90s it was, "I really respect Dave as a musician but...". Bear in mind this was around the time they'd already come out with Load. The first Metallica album I tried to like, & couldn't. Even though I'd been a fan of theirs since almost the beginning. & let's face it, the Napster incident of the last decade didn't exactly help.

@@robertbarker9579 What"s better? It's better than Master Of Puppets, better than Reign In Blood, so what's left? Yeah, it is the best thrash metal album of album of all time and one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
Mark Andersen It’s not better than Master of Puppets. If Dave didn’t sound like a constipated grandma when he sings, Rust in Peace could be in the conversation for the best album.
I remember seeing them at Lamors in BROOKLYN when they played peace sells but who is buying. Great show. Good morning black Friday. It doesn't get any better.
Killer list Pete! So many great memories with these albums. Would love to see more ranking the albums for old school metal bands! Slayer, Meshuggah, and Metallica would be sick!
I guess the top 3 for me depends on my mood. Sometimes it is Rust in Peace, sometime Peace Sells and sometimes Countdown to Extinction. Piece of advice, don't listen to the remasters, especially the CTE one, it was awful. Cryptic Writings ranks a lot higher in my opinion, just because of She-Wolf, such an amazing song. This is by all means my favorite metal band ever, appart from Risk and Supercollider (the Cold Sweat cover is great), they have been pretty consistent.
My ranking for the Megadeth albums would be 16. Risk 15. United Abominations 14. The System Has Failed 13. Super Collider 12. Thirteen 11. Cryptic Writings 10. The World Needs A Hero 9. The Sick The Dying And The Dead 8. Dystopia 7. Endgame 6. Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good 5. Youthanasia 4. So Far So Good So What 3. Peace Sells But Who’s Buying 2. Rust In Peace 1. Countdown To Extinction
Got to be "Rust in Peace" I was a BIG fan of Cacophony so I remember thinking that Marty Friedman didn´t fit in the band, well I changed my mind in about 15 minutes...
To me Peace sells is number one, and while I dont disagree RIP is #1 for a lot of people, I know who the REAL Megadeth lovers are when they list Peace sells #1. Dont @ me.
It takes an absolute masterpiece to top Peace Sells....and that is Rust In Peace, which actually contains the finest playing by ANY metal band to this very day! Both albums will never be topped and the degree of playing is so dynamic, the music could be listed as "jazz metal"! Your passion is perfectly placed for the mighty Megadeth-we could share a stereo, very, easily-take care.

I probably should have done this earlier, but it's going down now. With the exception of Killing Is My Business, all my Megadeth CDs are the original releases (with some exceptions, I'm not a big fan of remixed albums, in general.) I don't own The World Needs A Hero, United Abominations, Super Collider, or Dystopia, so I'll be ranking what I have (11 albums). Here I go (with comments): 11) Cryptic Writings - Not a bad album. Despite the presence of a few thrashers, something about it just seems a bit underwhelming, and I don't listen to it as much as the others. 10) Risk - The album that takes the most heat, and sounds the least like Megadeth. It's not that bad. Crush 'Em cracks me up, and is slightly embarrassing, but songs like Breadline, Ecstasy, I'll Be There, and Time are filled with enough melodies and hooks to keep me coming back. 9) So Far, So Good...So What - I like this album, but, unlike many, it was never a major top personal favorite (no disrespect to the cool cat that is Jeff Young). Set The World Afire, 502, In My Darkest Hour are a few picks. 8) Th1rt3en - Dave Jr. returned. Solid album, and many of the lyrics are... let's just say that they are interesting. 7) Endgame - Solid, kick-ass thrash. Head Crusher is my top pick. 6) The System Has Failed - Maybe I'm supposed to rank this much lower, but I can't. I love it too much. Complex and messy circumstances surrounded this (which I won't get into), but it came out surprisingly well. I love everything on here. 5) Countdown To Extinction - Do I really need to say much here? I don't think so. 4) Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good! - Mustaine was mad as fuck, and we know why. The production sucks ass, but I suppose it has now become part of the charm. Mustaine was out for blood, and the unbridled fury, rage and venom keep me coming back to this one quite often. 3) Youthanasia - I love this album, though opinions are generally mixed. They tuned the guitars down a half-step, and, arguably, created their most melodic album to date. Not as thrashy, it still packs a punch, and the production is bigger and fuller than on previous albums. Great songs. 2) Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? - Again, I don't think I need to say much here... 1) Rust In Peace - ...nor do I really need to say anything here :-)
Being a melodic metal guy my favorite 4 are: 1. Youthanasia, 2. The System has Failed, 3. United Abominations, 4. Countdown to Extinction. Personally, this band has never failed.
1. Rust in Peace 2. Countdown to Extinction 3. Peace Sells 4. Youthanasia 5. United Abominations 6-14. Albums that I like in one way or another, but not as much as the top five. 15. Super Collider I know a lot of people would put Risk at the bottom, but I think it's a decent record for what it is (hell, I still find myself going back to stuff like Wanderlust and Time: The Beginning/End). I guess you could make the same argument for Super Collider, but it just doesn't do anything for me.
Megadeth is my favorite band. 1. Rust in Peace 2. Countdown to Extinction 3. Peace Sells 4. Endgame 5. United Abominations 6. Dystopia 7. Killing Is My Business 8. So Far, So Good, So What 9. Youthanasia 10. Cryptic Writings 11. System Has Failed 12. World Needs a Hero 13. Thirteen 14. Super Collider 15. Risk
Nice one! Here’s my ranking: These first six I absolutely love: 1. Rust In Peace (1990) 2. Countdown To Extinction (1992) 3. Youthanasia (1994) 4. Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? (1986) 5. So Far, So Good… So What! (1988) 6. Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! (1985) These next bunch are also solid albums, and I enjoy them all to varying degrees: 7. The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! (2022) - in my opinion, a massive return to form after a string of good, but very similar sounding albums released since Risk. 8. Cryptic Writings (1997) 9. The System Has Failed (2004) 10. Endgame (2009) 11. United Abominations (2007) 12. Dystopia (2016) 13. Thirteen (2011) 14. The World Needs A Hero (2001) 15. Super Collider (2013) This last one I can barely stand listening to. It took everything that was great about the more commercial sounding Cryptic Writings and threw it out the window. 16. Risk (1999)
Megadeth album ranking starter pack: Super Collider, Risk, The World Needs a Hero at the bottom, earlier, thrash albums at the top (almost always Peace Sells or Rust in Peace at #1). There, saved you 21 minutes and however long every single other ranking video is.
I loved Cryptic Writings! And then when Risk followed, that was a big disappountment. I agree with that one coming in last. So hard to rank most of the early ones but fave is definitely Countdown To Extinction.
1killing is my business..and business is good ( it's #1 for for the straight nastiness of it) 2 peace sells... But who's buying 3 rust in peace👽 4 Countdown to extinction 5so far do good...so what 6 cryptic writings 7 youthanasia 8 end game 9 13 10 risk 7
My personal list: 1. Rust in Peace 2. Peace Sells...But Whose Buying? 3. Endgame 4. So Far, So Good, So What? 5. Countdown to Extinction 6. United Abominations 7. Dystopia 8. Youthanasia 9. Killing is My Business 10. Th1rt3en 11. The World Needs A Hero 12. Cryptic Writings 13. The System has Failed 14. Super Collider 15. Risk Megadeth for me is a band where though I've been listening to them for most of my life, what I view as their weaker albums are albums I practically never listen to. There are tracks that I enjoy, but as an album? They don't do a lot for me. Still, an important band for me and I freaked out a lot when I first bought and listened to Rust in Peace in my CD walkman. I hadn't actually heard any of that album before, only Megadeth song I had at home was "The World Needs A Hero."
After 30 years Rust in Peace is still the benchmark for heavy metal guitar solos.
And metal riffs, and lyrics to name a few more things.
It’s my favorite ‘Deth album for sure. It’s one of the few albums from any band ever that I love from beginning to end. When I listen to it, I prefer to hear the entirety of it.
Jeremy Hamrick agree! Most of the time I skip Holy Wars and Hanger only because I don’t want to get burned out on them cause they’re so good.
Seth Arnold I can totally understand that! I defy any sane person skip over Take No Prisoners, though 🤘
Totally influenced by Scorpions-sails of charon :)
You should Interview Jeff Young about his time in Megadeth!! Probably some cool stories.
I agree with everything except cryptic writings, I'd move it up to 10.
My favorite is Peace Sells. I'll be 54 this year. When it came out I was in College, Northeastern university.

KISS is better than Metallica....
I’d rather see Megadeth in a 500 person club than Metallica in a stadium.
Yup. One thing bothers me about Metallica is the guitarists. Megadeth has had killers like Marty and the music is more advanced.

I personally think peace sells is the #1 spot for megadeth albums is just so classic
I don't think Megadeth were ever located in SF, so calling them a "Bay Area" isn't quite right...
Not quite right? It's not right at all, they formed in LA.

The songs 'Good Mourning Black Friday' & 'My Last Words' are absolute gems !!
My order:
1. Rust in peace
2. Peace sells
3. Countdown
4.Killing is my business
5.Youthanasia
6.So far so good
I haven't listened much of any of the other lineups, but those 6 are so good
Pete u should do a video of all your t shirts
he buys them just to make the videos, like the brand new Maiden shirt he wore in the video
Hell yes!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
He's got so many that it would have to be a mini-series.
danoh's toolbox lol, I agree
Right on..great idea..
Top 5 for me.
1: Rust In Peace
2: Peace Sells, But Who's Buying
3: Dystopia
4: United Abominations
5: Countdown to Extinction
I’d bring Cryptic Writings up, anything with Mustaine/Ellefson/Friedman/Menza is gold to me!
It’s kind of interesting that the best two are also the two coolest covers from Ed Repka!
Yes. Cryptic writings is very underated and have songs like, Trust, Vortex and alot more, wich are very good
I haven't listened to much after "The World Needs a Hero." I love the guy but Dave's politics got a little too right wing for me.
I do think Cryptic Writings is an underrated album that I would on par with Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia.
I'll be there !!⭐❤⭐ Risk is a great album , open your ears!
Live and lørn! 🇧🇻
Agreed mate. Listen to it plenty.
Why do people put 'The System Has Failed' so far down on their lists? I get that it was originally supposed to be a Mustaine solo album, but the album is great none the less. Very underrated in my opinion.
Because, RIP is fuckin phenomenal, and failed is the key word to describe that album.
I don't mean to be so pessimistic, but that stuff isn't Megadeth imo.
Agree...plus Chris Poland is on it
@@keithschick9960 Rust In Peace is phenomenal but I respect musicians who experiment instead of rehashing the same material again and again. Bands like AC/DC, Slayer and Motorhead all did very well that way but it's cool when bands go out of their comfort zone and still make great songs.
Awesome album and very powerful!
I wish Mustain didnt remaster/remix the albums. They really suck compared to the originals imo.
The recent re-issue of Killing.... is good.
Absolutely! For example, SFSGSW absolutely lost its (searching for the exact word...) grimy, dirty sound!?
I agree... the exceptions ( for me) are SFSGSW and Killing is My Business.

I'm just a sucker for the Menza/Ellefson/Friedman-era. Their musicianship was unmatched in the "trash" scene at the time IMHO.
Prock Rog You probably mean „thrash“ scene.
Prock Rog i agree. Love Marty Friedman with Dave
MEGADETH is my favourite band of all time.
God bless you. God bless all the rattleheads! Jesus saves sinners! If you like it heavy, MEGADETH weighs a ton
@@gregsimmons694 Huh
Killing is my Business is underrated .. it's their best from a vintage metal standpoint! The riffs are also extremely creative on that album.
Kick the Chair is among the best songs they ever did post 95. And the 2019 remaster actually makes it sound better, particularly the drums since that albums original master sounded crappy.
Good ranking video and they should be in the rock n roll hall of fame.
Absolutely, love Megadeth!!!
@@mikesclassicrock9745 me too and they kick ass 110%.
Absolutely agree !!!!
James moss please tell me your joking! They "should" be in the rock and roll hall of "shame"😠
@@metalassassin9537 no joke.
I got into the band when this came out so it’s always had a soft spot for me
Not their most consistent album, but there's a bunch of quite good songs there, it just doesn't quite sound like a Megadeth album. It would have likely gotten a much better reception had it been released under another moniker.
1) Rust in Peace 2) Peace Sells 3) So Far So Good 4) Countodown 5) Youthanasia. Love your shirt, such an underrated album.
Mpampis Kalogiannis That’s my top 5 in order!
Here's my top 5:
1) Rust In Peace
2) Peace Sells
3) Countdown To Extinction
4) Endgame
5) Youthanasia
For me, Rust In Peace is the greatest thrash album I've ever heard, front to back it's a masterpiece, Peace Sells isn't far behind.
You're kidding, Endgame over Killing is My Business?
Don't know any post 2000 albums so I'll trust your words. However, I must be the only one who really likes Cryptic Writings (even metal expert Martin Popoff gives it a so-so). All I can say is you throw the disc on and it sounds great start to finish! Not heavy enough?? Anyway your top 2 are excellent and both very memorable. I remember the first time I heard Peace Sells; guitars were doing battle, coming at you from all angles. Truly a new technical assault of the senses! Mustaine should be remembered for his innovation
Finally, I've been waiting for this

1) Peace Sells

3) So Far
4) KIMB
5) Youthanasia
Interesting ranking. I am one of the few people that personally enjoys Dystopia more than Endgame but either way, both great albums.
Dystopia is a very strong album
Agreed. For me, Dystopia is the best album they've done since Euthanasia.
I could listen to every song except the cover song
Rust in Piece
Peace Sells But Who’s Buying?
So Far, So Good, So What?
Youthanasia
Countdown to Extinction
(I go back and forth on the first two and last two)
It is Rust in Peace
Rust In Peace is my favorite Megadeth album. Top 5 would be:
1. Rust In Peace
2. Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
3. So Far, So Good... So What!
4. Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!
5. Countdown To Extinction
Ditto
Peace Sells is number 1 for me. Such jaw dropping playing and songs. Thrashy and jazzy. Just super. Oh and awesome shirt Pete!
Saw them before Peace Sells front row in a small club. It was brutal in a great way. Killing is my business will always be my #1.
Word!
"I...master! Five...Magics!" 🎸 🔥 💀 ⛓
Peace Sells does that too. The opening track Wake Up Dead has no repeating parts at all, every time there's a change in the song it's a new riff. From the beginning to the end. And it's still catchy as hell.
Always dug..So far so good So what...love the mood of the old tune I don't want to set the world on fire.....then slam with some killer thrash ..
BTW, Dave said in his autobio that the album title "Risk" came from a statement from Lars Ulrich that Dave should take a risk.
jim g I do remember that as well, because Lars stated Dave felt comfortable in what he was doing at the time and that he should take a Risk, glad they never stuck with that shit
@@salvadorjimenez2872 Did Lars hurt you?
Never listen to that fat pockets Lars & James.. you rules Dave.😎

#1 Rust in Peace
This has to be the best metal album ever.
Peak thrash metal... Every time they had the chance to end the song they went 100x harder! An absolutely essential album
Leif Siklossy Not even the best thrash metal album ever. Still solid, nonetheless.
@@robertbarker9579 What"s better? It's better than Master Of Puppets, better than Reign In Blood, so what's left? Yeah, it is the best thrash metal album of album of all time and one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
Mark Andersen agreed! It’s at the top of the pyramid!
Mark Andersen It’s not better than Master of Puppets. If Dave didn’t sound like a constipated grandma when he sings, Rust in Peace could be in the conversation for the best album.
Definitely "Peace Sells But Who's Buying". The late great Gar Samuelson on drums. Simply amazing.
Love Megadeth. Do Slayer next, please.
I see Dave around my town every now and then. Dude is a legend!

It takes an absolute masterpiece to top Peace Sells....and that is Rust In Peace, which actually contains the finest playing by ANY metal band to this very day! Both albums will never be topped and the degree of playing is so dynamic, the music could be listed as "jazz metal"! 17:40 One band that comes to mind is Deftones. Not one bad album.
Their newest one Ohms kicks ass
Megadeth is from LA, not the Bay Area.
"Sounds like a D. Mustaine solo album..." Well, Megadeth is "The Dave Mustaine Band", isn't it? ;-)
I probably should have done this earlier, but it's going down now.
With the exception of Killing Is My Business, all my Megadeth CDs are the original releases (with some exceptions, I'm not a big fan of remixed albums, in general.)
I don't own The World Needs A Hero, United Abominations, Super Collider, or Dystopia, so I'll be ranking what I have (11 albums). Here I go (with comments):
11) Cryptic Writings - Not a bad album.
1. Rust in Peace
2. Countdown to Extinction
3. Peace Sells
4. Youthanasia
5. United Abominations
6-14. Albums that I like in one way or another, but not as much as the top five.
15. Super Collider
I know a lot of people would put Risk at the bottom, but I think it's a decent record for what it is (hell, I still find myself going back to stuff like Wanderlust and Time: The Beginning/End). I guess you could make the same argument for Super Collider, but it just doesn't do anything for me.
Megadeth is my favorite band.

2. Countdown To Extinction (1992)
3. Youthanasia (1994)
4. Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? (1986)
5. So Far, So Good… So What! (1988)
6. Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! (1985)
These next bunch are also solid albums, and I enjoy them all to varying degrees:
7. The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! (2022) - in my opinion, a massive return to form after a string of good, but very similar sounding albums released since Risk.
8. Cryptic Writings (1997)
9. The System Has Failed (2004)
10. Endgame (2009)
11. United Abominations (2007)
12. Dystopia (2016)
13. Thirteen (2011)
14. The World Needs A Hero (2001)
15. Super Collider (2013)
