    on the broken glove compartment door, a common fix on those is to go get a small piano hinge from Home Depot and screw it to the bottom of the door. That's how I did mine. Cool little project rig man, keep banging away at it!

      That's so funny. I already have that video made. Got it from Home Depot, it ended up being the exact right length, didn't even have to cut it. I had to split the video into 2 parts, currently uploading half of that video where I convert the broken clock into a USB Charger/Voltmeter. Thanks alot for watching, I'll check out your channel!

      @@CTMadModz Thank you, I'm sure I'll take you up on that. I screwed the piano hinge into the dash part but used epoxy on the door side. I guess I didn't think there was enough meat to get screws into the door but that woulda been much easier. I'll have to look at it again.

    I replaced the original H4 with H4 LEDs from X-7Seven. Massive difference!

      I bet. I kinda experienced that last night. Yesterday my friend came over with his dad's Samurai. I fixed some wiring on his relay harness for the LED headlights, then I drove it at night. They were very bright! I could see everything.

      Man that's great to hear. I just feel more alive when I have a project to work on, only wishing I would have filmed them all, but I'm gonna start. Comments like this give me the motivation to make videos and learn how to edit better, so we're motivating each other!

      Yes Sir u got that right. Going have to do the same. Man it sure is easier to pick video than pick a place to start on a project.

      @@P.Trim69 Be selective where you start. Pick something that will be easy to start and finish and something that you'll feel good about after. Then it'll boost your motivation and there's a higher chance you'll keep plugging away at it. I suffer from the need for instant gratification. It usually helps me finish small things but stuff like prepping these floors just kills me!

      @@FixLife119 right 👍🏻. Well i suffer from two.

      Yeah the lack of three. Yeah that's me.
      But like old Hank Jr.
      Got shotgun,a rifle and 4wheel drive.
      Country boy can survive.
      Yeah i like them instant gratification projects anything day or two and make noticeable change. Them weeks and months projects they keep me bummed out till getting at end be chomping at the bit get it done. i need to not tomorrow it as much as i do. Get in rush then cause done lost day or two. @@P.Trim69 Sounds like you got a pretty full plate already! Sorry about you're grandbaby 😞 You're right about picking something that'll make a noticeable difference, be done in a few days, build up the confidence for the next part. Right now the exhaust and floors are both kicking my ass. Crazy what they charge for some cheap tube and reducers, then none of it is round and dont fit together. Be glad when it's done.

      Ya know, I never paid too much attention to them but had a few friends with them a long time ago. There seems to be somewhat of a cult following for them, and the longer I have it the more I understand why. So easy to work on, people say they'll go anywhere, and honestly they're just fun. Some of them go for big bucks but you can still find them pretty cheap if you go hunting for a fixer upper. Can't think of a better vehicle to restore, and you'll easily make your money back if/when you sell it. Hey, thanks for watching!

    Cool project. I love my samurai. Do you know what the seats came from? The leather looks great.

    • @FixLife119
      @FixLife119  6 месяцев назад +1

      Honestly I thought they came out of another vehicle but I painted them gray today (tomorrow's video) to match the dash with the same Dupli-Color Vinyl and Fabric paint. They are vinyl seats and I'm thinking they must have come out of a Samurai and I say that because of something I noticed while they were out today. The passenger seat is much taller. For the thumbnail pic I had to space the drivers seat up 3" to match the height of the passenger seat. Then when I went to put them back in I noticed where the drivers seat bolts in its elevated and it looked factory. Once they're in they're the same height. That paint is really amazing. It dries flexible. I tested it after about 2 minutes of dry time I couldn't scrub it off with alcohol, so I'm not really worried about it coming off, we'll see. If you watch tomorrow you'll notice the second can of paint was a slightly different color even though they were the same part number. Then the second seat had a few lighter colored splotches. I have 2 more cans on order I'll pick up tomorrow and prob have them 100% in the following video, they already look great though, now that it all matches. Thank you for watching!

      @@FixLife119 I definitely don’t think they are factory samurai seats. They look no great. A lot of people take the sliders off the factory seats(so they match heights and mounting points) and attach them to different seats. I have 2door dodge neon seats in mine.
