Gabriel, your analogy about the language is correct. The Azeris can understand and communicate with Turks because they kept sort of the original language while Turks' has changed and many words changed. This same thing happens between Norwegians and Danes who are able to understand Swedes very well while Swedes do not understand all the words. Another great video - well done.
I learned about the oil fields of Baku in ww2 history which thankfully the Nazis never could reach but that was a goal of theirs. I wonder if oil is still a major commodity in the region as it seems to be a very rich country! It somewhat reminds me of your Kuwait videos with both countries being Muslim and very similar in size and very clean and modern! That jazz cafe the lady showed you looked really nice inside I hope you show some video at night with the live music and I’m curious how the food is!
Yes it is petrol chemicals and natural gas products are 93% of exports.
it is not a rich country, quite the opposite, which is similar for most countries that rely on oil exports

Thanks for great video.
Baku is pricier than i would expect. hotel price is low considering hostels in Rome are $60 minimum/night now :O
$60 for a hostel in Rome? wow
@@Originalman144 yes. hostels doubled in most places. in the summer i understand but they haven't gone down much in october.
In Baku you can find hostels approximately 7-8$

Welcome! If I knew you would come, I would have helped you to understand and change the misconception you had during trip.
Hi Gabriel ! I saw you in the old town of Baku! I am Rafael . Nice meeting you!
Howdy man, nice to meet you, thanks for saying hello. Have a good one and safe travels. ✌️👊
Baku ‼️
I learned the existence of this country because of Eurovision song contest. 😅
you probably didn't go to school and were a tramp
That land or region used to be called Albania during the time of Roman Empire for some reason.
Caucasian Albania*

I think the North Africans of today are also very Turkic, except for the Egyptians. As you mentioned the Azeri flag and the Turkish flag is similar -- the flags of Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya are also very similar to the Turkish flag. Not only because they are Islamic but I think they are genetically close as well but there was more Roman influence on the south Mediterranean.
Нет.Тюркские страны в Центральной Азии -Казахстан,Узбекистан,Туркменистан,Кыргызстан.А также много республик в составе России- Татарстан,Чувашия,Башкортостан и т.д.В Африке нет тюркских народов
No, North African countries speaks arabic language. They are not turkic.
Awesome video Gabriel. 💪💪💪💪
Armenia & Azerbaijan will sign a peace agreement by the end of this year.
i hope 🇦🇿🇦🇲
Are you traveling to other cities aswell like Ganja ?
The clothes, the shopping, the accessories! I could get my rocks off shopping there.
Gabriel, if you are the only person in a store, the store-keepers and such will hound you, I dare say.
It happened to me in France, and Germany, and especially in Morocco.
At about 18:10 -- it looks as though you were being suckered in to buying something.
Hard to guard against that, I think, huh?
Nope, didn't buy a scarf or anything else. I wasn't in a decision making mood, wanted to keep on going with the tour.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Thank you for this reply of yours.
All consideration of yours is appreciated.
Speaking of Wales, my mom is planning a trip to Wales or Copenhagen Denmark.. BUT the cost of food in Denmark is super high any recommendations for reasonable places to eat in Copenhagen I know you’ve been there a few times.peace ✌🏻out bro
Try Freetown Christiania. Good food @ very reasonable prices & IMPO, certainly by Scandinavian standards.
I'm off to Europe/Scandinavia for 6.5 weeks soon, so I can only imagine what I'm in for! 😂🤣
Also, try googling something like, "cheaper but good eats across Copenhagen", or "reasonably priced eats across Copenhagen".
There'll always be a full list of such places/eateries.

I have been in Copenhagen but don’t compare Copenhagen with Tokio for costs. Japan is more expensive than Denmark.

Thanks for the great video but you need to discover south part Azerbaijan with 30 millin population! Unknown yet.
Pls don’t use Arabic music. It’s not Arabic country
Great memories of Kuwait, hope you'll return soon.
100% You are right, Azerbaijan people can understand Turkey people easily but Turkey people cant understand Azerbaijan people cause Azerbaijan people watch to Turkey movie, stream, film or etc.

Azerbaijan 🇦🇿❤
Hi Gabriel, you really see the vendors out that could be the reason they wanted to get metro transit tickets you would be in walking distance of the vendors, and you see what's going on with everyone trying to get your business. The excursion day trip could be remarkably interesting seeing sites no people from the West have seen before it includes mountains and tourist sites it would really be promoting Azerbaijan in a big way for the tourist. I really love how vendors approach you to get you into their stores and restaurants. The Rabbit Scarf I never heard of this material you even looked surprised.
Baku❤
It looks very pedestrian friendly city, much more then Kuwait
Not really- apart from that pedestrian street, and the Old Town, Baku lacks pedestrian crossings - sometimes you need to go long way to find one, and underpaths aren't friendly to disabled people, or ones with children in prams.
@@A0111. at least they have somewhere, where outside walking is possible
