Hopefully this song will be re-born and be inspirational for the BML movement. It was HUGE when I was in High School and would love to see it have a big impact today!
Love Buffalo Springfield. This came out when I was in HS. Young people all over were protesting the Vietnam War. Some were violent factions, but mostly we used LOVE to effect change. Flower children. Flower power. Times change, eh?
Right on, back then protesting was peaceful.. they did sit-ins to protest though there were violent protests the counter-culture disliked using violence to get their message across.
Loved this song back in the day. It was quite a counter-culture hippie anthem. Doesn’t seem like much has changed. Stephen Stills and Neil Young went on to greater fame in CSNY.
This song should mean as much to y'all today I'm subscribing. This isn't mono. By the way. We had sound engineering back then. You know more than most about our music. Appreciate it Sister 😘☮️
Hey Faith, love your channel and your reaction to this song. May I suggest you follow this one by Get Together by The Youngbloods. I promise you, you won't be sorry!
If you like this song listen to Public Enemy song He Got Game it samples some of the beats and actually Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield sings in that song
Your NUTS!!! "I Love You mannnnnnnnn". I am Naturally 'Drunk' my friends call me "Stupid". I have to disagree about the 'Panning' RT to LT (it was done on purpose). Remember they had few effects to work with. panning was a 'non-toy' effect, no toy's added. You let the musician make his/her sound. Led Zep. used a lot of panning as did many 60's Rock groups. Not being picky just thought you might like to know.
It was actually written about the Sunset Strop Curfew Riots, so even more relevant than most think. It's my all-time favorite song.
this song is relevant today. that is power

Buffalo Springfield For What It's Worth the song he's got a life of its own it's got its own soul and bleeds words of truth

Flowers. Until Kent State. Then tear gas canisters filled the air.

@@kestrelle5345 Progress is not a straight line. Life tests our resolve. Is it possible to be an optimistic pessimist?
@@rkress9349 it's complicated, that's for sure !

Jane Sand-Will Other protest songs by CSN&Y are Ohio and Find the Cost of Freedom. Unfortunately, they are still relevant.
