Lyrics:
Annihilate, accelerate, surge into cold pristine state
Invisible radiation, everlasting desecration
Profane sun, pervading light, splendor burst to virgin dust
Revelation, restitution, a riven covenant
Arise nocturnal star, into the void of eternal light
From brume into renascence, emergent evolution
Perennial aeonic divine eclipse
Arise - light of shining bliss
Divine - night in cosmic abyss
Devastate, discreate, putrefied and liquefied
Separation, isolation, final dissolution
Celestial spheres, a pallid flame, repulsive procreation
Manifestation, adumbration, luminous in radiance
Arise celestial bliss, into the void of divine essence
As a swarm into renascence, emergent evolution
Concentric primordial subsistence reborn
Arise - light of shining bliss
Divine - night in cosmic abyss
Recreate, generate, turning into supreme black light
Ethereal abomination, artificial entity
Profane sun, pervading light, splendor burst to virgin dust
Revelation, restitution a riven covenant - arise

Germany’s progressive death metal masters OBSCURA complete their long-running, four-album conceptual circle with the release of Diluvium (defined as a great oceanic flood), their most evocative, diverse and vibrant release to date. Recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany, Diluvium is a stunning achievement for the illustrious quartet and a landmark release for progressive metal as a whole. Complete with all the band's signature elements plus groundbreaking polyrhythms, dramatic songwriting, and jaw-dropping virtuosity, OBSCURA raise the bar once again with an album that will go down in the annals of metal history as one of the most astonishing performances the genre has to offer.
This Is amazing sublime video
I haven’t listened to this album much. Fucking rocks!!! I love it.
Now, this video with Steffen alone makes MUCH more sense
XDDD
Do you guys do weddings?
This is a serious question please respond.
Obviously he meant Thulcandra!
That would be awesome! Image obscura, gojira and fleshgod apocalypse just to celebrate my weds!?
yes, an alien wedding
@@rizkycaesar18 Rings of Saturn will fit perfectly for an alien weddings!)
The effect on the clean vocals is just so fucking cool!! So unique. And it adds to Obscura's already ethereal atmosphere so well!!
I cannot express in words how much I love this band. I'm glad that they get the recognition they deserve, at least within the metal community.
same, yes
Prog DM at it's finest. Clean, polished, flawless execution, impecable arrangements, perfectly balanced. Exquisite
Loved Diliuvium and this is my favourite song from it.
They did a phenomenal job on the video here. It’s like he’s on Mars or something. Makes sense when you read a lot of their song titles. Definitely a sci-fi metal vibe and I freaking love it. Definitely one of the best metal bands I’ve ever seen. I love the spaced out vocals too
Yet Obscura never ceases to amaze... there is so much more behind this wich everyone is not able to understand, and that even makes it more sublime.
Cheers for this guys! and please... never stop making such overhealming music!
Hell yeah Brainblast here! you guys rule... !
Sublime, right word...
BRAINBLAST HERE!
Congratulations to Obscura for such an amazing song and such an amazing album!!
And THAT is the kind of video quality I wanna see from every music video from now on
Thank Obscura for your support and your team. I love your creativity and respect your performance in art. You are the most beautiful Astonishing and unique group band I ever known. I wish that more people have the same passion as you. Your music and lyrics have inspired me to be more patience more open minded more educated and emotional with my life. I Love you guys I hope you never stop creating masterpieces like this. ❤ 🇵🇷
My favorite music videos tell a good story. Videos are a band's chance to explore their stories visually! Awesome video...and Diluvium is still such a sick record!
Cast:
Steffen Kummerer
Oh shit, did he fire everyone again?
lol!!!
You forgot about the jellyfish you racist fugga!
Obscura just broke up too
fredmachine hahahahahaha unfortunately yes
Obscura is Steffen Kummerer 🤘😁
This was a spoiler of what really obscura is...Steffen Kummerer.
No shit, EInstein?!
Wow that's good stuff. Like almost everything from RELAPSE.
Yet another awesome video from Obscura! I am very fortunate to have got to see and meet y'all last year in Dallas. Can't wait till y'all come back to the U.S. again.
That moment ive already listened to this track 1 million time and à vidéo version comes out
AH SHIT HERE WE GO AGAIN
I like the backing clean vocals. They sound similar to Paul Masvidal from Cynic's Focus.
The effect on them is just so fucking cool! Very ethereal sounding!
Excelente, los esperamos en Peru
Another reason to love Obscura.
My favorite album and song from 2018!
Damn, this is so cool.
Brood Of Hatred this is the coolest music video i’ve ever seen. obscura really stepped up on their music video quality. 11/10
MASTERPIECE
Idk i just love your Cosmogenesis and Omnivium album. And i still listen those song today. Who agree with me?
Obscura is the modern day death. Chuck would be proud!!
Yup. If Death were to have become a tech. death band, Obscura would be related most to them.
Dude... I never thought of that, hella true!
modern day Cynic fits more, even though Cynic only had one album of this style
@@alkabukodikcisszel8723 two - Focus and Traced in Air
Damn, that's some good music.
Obscura is awesome band
This has to be one of the best videos that Obscura has ever done, just an incredible use of the surroundings blending the melodic side of the song to impact in an emotional way (This just reminds me why It was my favorite song from last year overall)
MONTERREY 26/03/22 CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Beautiful
Cleanliness is next to godliness
ARIIISEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NOCTURNAL STAAARRR
So, basically the earth dies and remains as deserted as Mars... oh, and Steffen became a god.
btw, not that the previous videos of the band were bad, but this one sure is in another level.
wow awesome vid n insane song oooof
Obscura is fkn underrated. Deserves more praise.
Totally agree!
Nah dude I think Obscura is pretty well known in the dm community.
@@depshallburn well I agree but it needs to be more huge like Gojira level of recognition. This album was perfect so their previous one
They deserve a Grammy but unfortunately the mainstream music world is complete trash 🗑 glad we have good taste in music and talent. A lot of garbage musicians making a lot of money they don’t deserve out there. Boo
Damn, am I the only one for whom this whole album sounds nostalgic in some way? I mean, chord progressions and these half-solos (like here: 1:17) sound like something from music that was around me in my childhood. I'm curious whether it was done intentionally.
It is probably cause a band called Cynic has extensively done this. If you don't know, Cynic is an old band that is known for drawing metal towards progressive scene. If you need to get started, check their track Evolutionary Sleeper from their second album, and things will become apparent to you.
Fun Fact : half of the members of cynic were once actively involved with Death, the father of death metal scene.
@@Krimson5pride Yeah, I love Cynic's first album and Death's last 3-4 albums. But apperently I was born in '98 in Ukraine, so I think it's 100% I've never heard Cynic's music in my childhood. Actually, "half-solos" remind me of my country's pop-music for some reason. And I really don't know why I think chord progressions sound nostalgic to me, still after 8 month when I first felt it. I think it's really hard to identify.
Yeah same, I think these metal bands sometimes use some melodies from something else that we can't really pinpoint where.
This is awesome
Seems like Steffen's living a long lost dream of being an actor?
of falling over hills lol. Love the music but the way he portrays himself is kinda disturbing xD
Lucas Still I love the scenery, but I hoped to see the entire band.. also weird that they make a 2nd video for Emergent Evolution, and still haven’t made a music video for Convergence, The Conjuration or Ekpyrosis..?
@@Meksgehere why? pop musicans do this all the time to a more extreme level. let steffen do his thing
Again, an amazing work from these guys. Simply among the best acts in metal music.
Cool video one of the coolest obscura videos
Great video!!!
love this band so much
Great job
Absolutely GREAT!
Man, this work should be placed in a gallery. Exotic
Cool stuff. VFX didn't even look cheap, it's a rare thing in music videos
What the clean distortion
So Great
Fusion: Cynic+Death= Obscura 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🇧🇷💪🏼🍺
i would say CYNIC music, with the typical robot vocals effects and some of the classic guturals style of the canadian death thrash and prog metal band OBLIVEON as well.
Cynic+Death+Necropaghist=Obscura
@@alessandroinclanalarcon4512 death+obscura= beyond creation
Mega genial!!! 👏👏👏😉😎
Wooow that was really awesome! please more tech prog death. Love it !
Esto si es musica. Son increibles.
Awesome!
Eu descobri essa banda por acaso na semana passada e se tornou uma das melhores bandas de Death Metal que já ouvi. Essa música é uma obra prima!
Já ouviu first fragment? Boa tb!!!
Flesh god apocallipse
Necrofagisth tb muito boa pra estudar!!!
Cattle decapitattion, origin, beyond creation, decapitated, escuta essas daí que já é som pra caralho! Valeu!
@@felipefabiao1808 First Fragment ano passado zerou o metal técnico, neoclassico e etc no dia em que foi lançada a faixa "In'el". Nada supera. Nada mais. Me lacrimeja os olhos toda vez que ouço
Not gonna lie, all songs in Diluvium are fricking great.
Yes!!! Now my day is beautiful!obscura is one of the best band around. They're just too good.
Somewhere, Cynic is smiling and listening to this.
that's right.
I love how so many people instinctively move in a certain spectrum of bands when listening to prog tech death. It's so nice to be able to see the connections from early Cynic, Death, Necrophagist to modern bands.
Ahahahaha.love this genre and the melodic death metal
I would say Death and newer Gorguts than anything else.... because that is mainly who they were influenced by. Even their name is from a Gorguts album.
I can mostly hear Death (Steffen is Chuck direct descendant), Cynic, Gorguts, Atheist, Necrophagist... also a bit of Dissection (we all know Steffen love swedish melodic blach-death metal) and 90s swedish melodic death metal like the first In Flames or At The Gates in the palm mute riffing. But most important, i can 10000% hear this Obscura, with their own sound. Their are fucking amazing. Not underatted, of course, a lot of people know they are amazing, but dude, Cosmogenesis is now 10 years old, and with that longevity, I can truely say that Steffen is now a Guitar Death metal legend, amongs the Trey Azagthoth, Chuck Schuldiner, Muhammed Suiçmez, Erik Rutan, Paul Masvidal, etc. Greeting from France !
magnificent work 🤘🏻🇨🇱
Majestuoso....!!!!
Hell yeah! Get some new talent. This is just the beginning
Great video, I love everything Obscura does.
now I know how Steffen wrote Obscura music
Mastery
Simply the best song of diluvium.
fantastic
Unreal 🤘
Mastery. I bow, we're not worthy.
GENIAL!!
Damn, now I have to buy the album!
Obscura did it once again
Amazing.
Evil Partnachklamm.^^
Sooo goood!☺️
This video says to me- "sometimes the less likely rich road yields the best benefits"
The music is absolutely great. Video WTF???
Greetings from Brazil!
Belleza
Reminds me of a walk through the map of Satisfactory. XD
Great track, great video.
Idk whtf 4000 means but this coo
Nice! :-O Love videoclips like these... something like Gojira - Low Lands ..... BTW 1:05 - The Matrix inspiration? 3:)
Peak.
3:18 ignominious and pale solo
dude it actually is really fucking close to it lol
You mean diminished .... TO B ?
This is pretty cool video. 😉👍
Relapse records more like prolapse records
Epic❤️🤘🏻❤️
sooooooooooooooooooo fucking tough. havent listened to this band is 10 years. so fucking tight. amazing video, amazing song. 10/10.
Interesting cool music!!!💀🎼🎶🎵🎸🤘⚡
Cool Video
Steffen Kummerer, the next Tommy Wiseau.
(Just jocking ;) )
Yes this is fucking great, great year for metal
Come to Peru. They have many fans on this side of the puddle.
Félix Molina fuck Peru

Peru is waiting \m/
Is that considered the chorus? The part with the one string tapping? That is so sick. I love this song just because of that. Never heard something so beautiful played on one string. Tried to learn how to play it but i think it just gave me schizophrenia
Cool
Ye man you're very pretty, but I'd like to see the rest of a band too
If there was a band 😭😭😭
If Cynic and Necrophagist had a baby 😉🤘
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
