    I would definitely go fuel hauling but the only options in my area are to do nights and my body can't do nights.

    I applied to pilot here in Jersey, recruiter felt I was a good fit & said she’d get back to me. Every time I reached out after she said she’s still waiting on the hiring manager who hasn’t gotten back to her about anyone 🤦🏾‍♂️.
    Anyways I start with another fuel hauling company next week. Starting pay is 34 an hr but they don’t pay OT. Better than other companies that pay by the load imo. Plus they have union, pension, 401 k. I’m looking forward to it

      That recruiter had you on Standby because they was getting ready to fire a current driver or was going to quit. The turnover of fuel Drivers is very high.

    We get 50% off all restaurant food inside the store , free showers , free drinks and coffee . 10 cents off gas . 200$ bonus every month , 15k bonus at year 5 20 k at year 10 20k at year 15 and 25k at year 20 . May be some other perks but these are the ones I can think of atm

      Them bonuses sound nice !! We get .15 cents off gas with a 75 gallon limit for the month and 10 cash off food that’s inside with a drink/ coffee. But ya have better food !! I think ya really might be first !

    Do you drive to the nearest Pilot Truck Stop each day and park your vehicle there to pick up and drop off your fuel tanker?

      They have specific pilots that you park the truck and start out of. Some locations have yards they park the truck at. Typically in cities it’s like that

    Thank you Mo!! I am going to listen to your advice on focus on your three favorites plus KAG. I have a year and a half recent driving with a contractor with FedEx Ground and I have my hazmat, tank and TWIC .Mo, do a lot of tanker companies have automatic transmissions ?????
    I had to qualify on 9 and 10 manual transmissions in truck driving school but I have never pulled a loaded trailer while driving a manual transmission .

      Good stuff man ! And yeah most major carriers have automatic trucks cause obviously it’s easier. The ones I mention all have automatic trucks so you won’t have to worry about that. Driving a manual loaded ain’t much different than driving it empty.

      I am with a fedex contractor as well bro. I have 5 months experience and hoping to go with KAG as well and see what happens. I take endorsements next month

      Did you ever look more into KAG? I've been thinking about applying there. Seems like they pay around $30 an hour. I also work for a FedEx ground contractor and half a year and a half experience

      @@SplashWaveBeats and it’s all up to you how you work I’m in San Antonio I’ve had weeks where I hit 1700 some where I hit 1300 after taxes it all just depends I’ve been getting flown to Phoenix to help them out over there as well just depends it’s a good solid company bro they’ll take care of you real leaneit on calling in or anything they pay is good it’s not the best but it’s a great ass company

      @@TheMoeeShow a few hundred less per week?!!.. that's crazy..for hazmat and all the dangers..I called kag and they told me Memphis area pays 21-24 an hour..bottom line..fuel pay is based on location..either work for pilot or loves..or do fuel in the pnw, CA ..or northeast

    Are the trucks automatic or standard? And also is there a camera looking at you in the truck the whole time?

      Automatic and they have a camera looking at you. But not recording all the time, only when you do certain things it turn on. Like break hard speed follow to close look down for to long or something that indicates you’re distracted

    If i was driving a Hazmat tanker oil truck but Had an class B and upgraded does that count as experience?

      I dont think so. They want tractor and trailer. So semi truck connected to a trailer that’s probably 40 Ft or longer. For them to consider it “experience” but I’m not 100 percent sure tho bro

    It just sucks that where I live in Texas, yes of all places in Texas, they don’t have too many openings up here in Amarillo.
    There was one opening for Amarillo 3 months ago and I took too long to apply and someone snatched that up. According to the recruiter, they only have openings in Amarillo once or twice a year.
    I’m tight. I work for Groendyke Transport for now, just to get my experience up (I have 3 1/2 years of OTR experience but no fuel hauling experience).

      I’m not to familiar with tankers up there man sorry. But I know someone will be willing to give you a chance. Check out Glassdoor and see what’s in your area

      Thanks brotha appreciate you ! I gross 2000 n change every week. And I believe you can net (after taxes) 2000 in some areas. Cause some areas get paid more than I do

    I went on everyone of those companies website and they all require experience. Pilot J in a min of 1yr

      Yeah they require 1 year tractor trailer experience but no tanker experience. It’s a dangerous job they cnt have someone in there with no experience driving that. With that one year they feel comfortable enough to know that you can maneuver correctly. But that 1 year go fast man trust !
