I had to qualify on 9 and 10 manual transmissions in truck driving school but I have never pulled a loaded trailer while driving a manual transmission .
Good stuff man ! And yeah most major carriers have automatic trucks cause obviously it’s easier. The ones I mention all have automatic trucks so you won’t have to worry about that. Driving a manual loaded ain’t much different than driving it empty.

It just sucks that where I live in Texas, yes of all places in Texas, they don’t have too many openings up here in Amarillo. There was one opening for Amarillo 3 months ago and I took too long to apply and someone snatched that up. According to the recruiter, they only have openings in Amarillo once or twice a year. I’m tight. I work for Groendyke Transport for now, just to get my experience up (I have 3 1/2 years of OTR experience but no fuel hauling experience).

Automatic and they have a camera looking at you. But not recording all the time, only when you do certain things it turn on. Like break hard speed follow to close look down for to long or something that indicates you’re distracted
Yeah they require 1 year tractor trailer experience but no tanker experience. It’s a dangerous job they cnt have someone in there with no experience driving that. With that one year they feel comfortable enough to know that you can maneuver correctly. But that 1 year go fast man trust !
