Do you need to declutter? Do you need to organize? Do you need to do both? I sure do! This video is the second in my January decluttering and organizing series! This week I tackle my entire wardrobe and get it decluttered! I declutter and organize my closet, my drawers, go through my jewelry, shoes and everything thing else! I really wanted to start my year off right! If you are ready to declutter and organize, I hope this video gives you tons of motivation!

Welcome to my 2nd “Declutter & Organize” video of 2024! This is part of my month-long series! I hope this series will give you lots of motivation and inspiration to declutter & organize! Today I tackle my wardrobe…ALL OF IT! Yikes! 😱 I am excited to start the year off getting things decluttered and organized! Thanks for being here and here’s wishing you a neat and tidy day! 🤗
Congratulations on another successful decluttering and organizing project! It really looks like you are building up a nice momentum. One of my main goals is to have more blank spaces. More open floor spaces, empty parts of shelves, less cluttered surfaces, etc. I really enjoy the look and feel of less stuff. It just feels so good. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next episode. Be well!

Hi DeDe, as always, awesome job! Clothes, shoes and jewelry have always been the hardest for me to declutter. I always want to save something “just in case.” Friend, you are not alone on the dusty shoe front! Lol. It’s so hard for me to get rid of any gift especially jewelry as I am just so sentimental about it. But I’m going to give it a go this weekend! We are blustery, deadly cold here in Illinois so why not declutter! Happy Weekend!
I think that’s a perfect plan to declutter this weekend! You might as well, it’s not like you can go and enjoy any outdoor activities! We are not even halfway into January and cold weather, I am sooo over it! 12° was the high I think in my world! One of our children live in Chicago and I definitely know you guys get it bad up there, especially with your type of wind!! 💨 🥶
Shoes, jewelry and purses are really tough for me! I get that “just in case” attitude as well. What I’ve been trying to tell myself is that just because I’m getting rid of it, I don’t have to feel guilty and it doesn’t mean I hate it or didn’t appreciate it. I have just been telling myself I only have so much room and I have to save that room for my absolute favorite things…. I still feel guilty sometimes lol!🤷🏻♀️🤣 Thank you so much for watching and happy decluttering friend!

I decided to declutter some purses and shoes. I found my original Social Security card in an old purse of mom's that I occasionally used!

Are you sick friend? I’ll tell you, my husband and I were sick and it took us several weeks to get well! I usually don’t get sick like that and when I do, it comes and goes before I know it, but this was a rough one! Sending prayers and good thoughts for a speedy recovery! 🙏🏻🫶🏻

Good morning DeDe, first off, love the music selection this week. The intro song is my favorite! I love decluttering as you know. I’ve been doing a little each time I see an area. I love those drawer dividers I used them them in all our clothes drawers and also my daughters. Highly recommend. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos that I look forward to each week. Hi Grace! Thank you for letting me know about the music. I will take a note and try to use that song again! I’m all about the drawer dividers too! It’s kind of like my guard rail and makes me “stay in my lane” when it comes to certain items and it definitely lets me know when I need to declutter!

Great declutter! Hard to get rid of sentimental items and things newly bought. Even I know I won’t wear them again. I guess new clothes are like fresh leftovers, don’t throw it out until it’s good and old.

Oh, the clothes! It seems like they get together and reproduce in our dark closets. Such a good job today, I noticed you keeping blouses and tops with details while letting go of tee shirts. I feel like we are finally beginning to dress up a bit more and are moving away from so much lounge about clothing. I am finding myself moving back into a more classic wardrobe and eliminating all the stay at home items. I'll bet your husband is happy to have gained some real estate for his shoes. 🎉
Hi Joy! As you well know, getting rid of my clothes, especially my professional ones, has been quite difficult! I am definitely glad that I got rid of so many items, however, I know I still have a long way to go. I do feel like I want to keep a lot of my nicer things, and still allow myself some choices to get “dolled up” so to speak.
You have a great intuition joy! My husband was definitely happy to have a little bit more real estate in the closet for his shoes! Although he is taller, and probably should have access to the higher shelves, he does seem to be pleased with his new lower shelves. I may have to readdress this situation in the future! Lol! Oh no, I am sorry to hear you are sick! I knew you had mentioned that you were feeling a little under the weather in one of your videos and your daughter and husband helped clean up the kitchen. How long have you been sick? My husband and I got sick and it took us pretty much two weeks to get well. I’m not one that really gets sick like that but it was a doozy. I hope you get to feeling better real soon! Prayers for a speedy recovery! 🙏🏻❤️🩹
@@MyBigTidyUp It started Tuesday. My throat was scratchy and before I knew it I was sick. It's a regular cold. It will probably be next week before I'm 100 percent again. Thankfully I built up my immune system but taking vitamin supplements and taking guardian of Eden antibiotics since September of 2023 if I hadn't it would have been worse. A lot worse. I ran a slight fever at 99. Thank you for your prayers, I certainly appreciate it very much. Yes my husband and daughter have been keeping up with the kitchen for me. So very blessed.
