Good video Bill. Maintenance is the longevity of any machine. I always try, but never succeed this task without spilling some oil. LoL.

Another nice video Bill. I love the tip of using a tissue to see where the hydraulic fluid is on the dip stick. I struggle with that!

hello Bill from MO, looks like something that would happen to me. I had the dealer do the hydraulic oil change when I took it in for a cold weather update. I'm getting close to needing to do it again. Enjoyed your video, wouldn't help me too much, I own a Kubota L3901DT. I will use your method of finding where the oil is on the dip stick, pretty neat way of finding the level.

Waldo from Choctaw OK again, I always look forward to a new video from you. This was a great rundown on what to watch out for, thanks for sharing. I think I’m starting to catch up to you hours wise, I’m currently at 94 hours in the 8 months I’ve had my 2038R. I still have lots of projects to take care of and wish that I had more seat time. I gave you a shout out as I drove through Iowa on my way to my dad’s house in Michigan a couple of weeks ago. This was the 15th straight year of spending family time at his house around the 4th of July. This was the last trip as we’re moving him down to our farmhouse in October. It’s going to be great having him an hour away from now on! Michigan winters (6 miles south of Lake Superior in White Pine MI) we’re getting to be too much for his arthritis.

Hello Waldo, so sorry I missed the shout out as you went through Iowa. You must have been going up 35 through DSM.
I've been to Ironwood and am familiar with the area where your father lives. I'd love that area in the summer, but not so much in the winter either. Hopie the moves goes well for you, looks like a 16 hr drive. Thats two days for me nowdays.
Glad to hear our seat time is building, keep on building that experience.

Thanks so much for staying in touch, I appriciate it. -Bill

Hi Bill, great job! I use the drain plug on the bottom of the trans. Works well for me as I have an oil heater installed where you drained from. (Cold winter in Canada). Awesome doing your own maintenance 👍

Nice video! Thanks. Consider getting a fluid extractor. They come large enough for this application. Go in right through the fill hole and save on that mess. Some come with brake bleed adapters as well. Great for this, lawn mowers, brakes etc. to justify the cost.
