Original Jetfire was more like a Robotech Valkyrie than this one
The wfc trilogy toy line was actually co-created with takara.I would give credit to takara more than to hasbro.
@@ruxbox1 not more like, it was a Macross Veritech. Funny story: the reason they couldnt sell Valkyrie toys in the US at first was because Hasbro had the rights to the toy, but not the animation so they changed his design (and name) in the cartoon to this version :D

I really loved thay scene in TF Gen.1 when Jetfire ripped the Decepticon Logo and placed the Autobot Logo as he joined The Autobots.
That was so epic.

I love how his debut episode hypes him up to be this big super powerful thing, only to have him crippled by a SINGLE shot from Starscream.
I love how they recreated the Jetfire toy from the 80's and even went as far as to add the head as a helmet,which is pretty good of them since Jetfire back then wasn't a proper transformer

No, that's not right. Skyfire is another transformer. He is autobot. But jetfire switched his sides. So, they are two transformers. The differences are head, backpack and paintjob, but the colours are same. Their forms are same, but they are not just one transformer, they are two.

Skyfire!! Yes! Jetfire was one of my all tyme favourite Transformers, but I also loved Skyfire on the show and longed for a TV show accurate action figure of him as well. (Same guy but different design because of the Robotech lawsuit.) This is absolutely stunning. LOVE the insignia touch! Out of curiousity, any particular reason why the minor detail was left off of the front of the cockpit canopy?

My dad bought me that version of jetfire for me when I was a kid for Christmas back in 1987-88 around that time I believe. I was always confused why he looked like he was from the Robotech Macross series than the Transformers cartoon 😆😆😆

I like the robot mode, but that jet mode, not so much. The original Hasbro toy, while the head and face wasn't consistent with the show, was a slightly better overall package.

I recently bought an official licensed Jetfire. My tip to everyone is PAY ATTENTION TO THE PRICE. I paid 10 bucks at Walgreens for it, should have been my first clue. Once I opened it I found out that not only does it take like 30 seconds to transform it, I also have like 5 points of articulation. Both shoulders, both hips and the head. Totally not worth it let alone this cool.
Thats a different jetfire, you bought the one made for kids, not this one, this jetfire’s around 100 online

To me only the g1 versions of jet fire are sky fire
The amount of people saying that his name's Skyfire scares me, these people need to learn some Basics on Transformers... Damn...
In Japan, he's called Skyfire. And in the entirety of the G1 show, he was called like that as well. That's because "Jetfire", in the toy line, was the name given to a redeco of Super Valkyrie from Macross back then. And because Takara refused to have to deal with a model from a rival on the show, they remade entirely the model of Jetfire for the show and rebranded it mainly to avoid confusion (because, seriously, the looks are like night and day). Eventually, with G2, his name was changed back to Jetfire both in America and Japan (likely because they made a new toy for the massive Autobot).
I'm wondering if jetfire has a GERWALK mode.hmmm

I had to tighten the screws that connect the moving part of the backpack so it doesnt come off everytime I transform him, which was a pain cause it meant taking him apart to get to them with a screwdriver.
